Hi,I don't know what exactly happens, but during the last week, I have encountered a problem with ActiveSky 1.91 that I'm not able to solve. Before each flight, I clear all weather through FS2004 menu as recommended but I can notice each time after having pressed on "Refresh" button, that Wind Direction displayed by FS is not the same as reported in Metar. The gap can reach 20 degrees. For example, FS can display : Wind 000/09 although ActiveSky Metar reports : KSEA 241856Z 02009KT 10SM FEW040 SCT250 12/06 A3050.I know that FS2004 features an automatic randomization of weather but I don't think that the solution can be found on that side. Before ending, just one question : W…

Hi,I am using xwRE with FS9, and am satisfied. But I am not still sure of one thing:I use an UNREGISTERED version of FSuiPC. In your documentation you provide an fsuipc.ini file (very complete). Somewhere else you talk about this *.ini file for FS2002. Question:Can this provided FSUKIPC.ini file be put in FS2004 or is it better to leave it with the original INI in FS2004?Thanks in advance and congratulations for your excellent products.

Hello,Does the latest version of Activesky in combination with the latest FSIUPC module facilitate smooth wind transition in FS2004? I've read that smooth winds aloft transitions with FS2004 utilizing any kind of real weather are no long possible (at this time) and was wondering what you guys can tell me about it.Thank you.

Hi Guys,Not sure if this has been noted before.I'm still running FS2002 (can't be bothered to upgrade yet *grin*)I have AS 1.91 running with FSUIPC 2.975 .. (FSUIPC has had its params set how i like them for a long time now & not altered.)After loading a flight plan, AS picks up the destination & loads the weather. (I have dest force set to 100nm)... both viewing the app screen & tuning into 122.00 gives a breakdown, & all seems perfect! (and showing a wind dir at the dest: e.g.: 210 @ 10)However whilst flying the route (sometimes speeding time to 4x, but sometimes NOT), I notice that even thought AS is showing "Weather Processing Complete" with no visib…

OK, I see some similar posts (I think), but here's my gripes on an otherwise fantastic program.General Issues (2002 and 2004). Go below 6000 feet and visibility drops to 5 miles max everywhere! FSUIPC is not set to limit visibility either.2004 specific issue: Along with above, weather seems to shift like crazy, esp. the winds when landing and they blow like crazy, usually from the side making landing impossible...Other than that, I still like the program, but don't fly 2004 too much because of this wind issue. Thanks!Lance

Since a few days when flying the weather changes very rapidily (in a few minutes, several time). Clouds appear, they disappear, they appear again, they disapper, they are back again in a few minutes time .And each time the aircraft is moving from left to right = big turbulences. I can also observe in the FSNav window that the weather information is changing a lot with big jumps in wind speed.See the several screen shot taken during the same flight , maximum 1 minute between each screen shotAny recommendation? Thanks in advanceI run XP Pro SP1, AS 1.191 + fsuipc last version 11

Hi AllUnsure what is causing this problem I am running the latest version of FSUIPC 3.11 and setting my destination airport via Active Sky force at 60 nm.The problem is that the winds are being reported Example 090@3knots but the winds which I am receiving show winds 300@25 etc which makes it very difficult to land.I have tried different airports and am getting the same results. The only way I can get the winds to report accurately is by going into the FS2004 weather button and changing winds to Clear, and back into the program and I then will get the correct winds for my destination.Any help appreciated.Kenny G.

You have to use the payware version of FSUIPC in order for ActiveSky to work with FS2004, correct? I think I read that when 04 was first released but can't find the info now. Thx.

Greetings,I am a long time user of Active Sky and am having a problem with the winds aloft being forced when landing. Example:KPDX winds 21017G24KTWinds aloft at 21550 at FL290For some reason, on my recent trips from CVYR to KPDX (amongst others), the wind doesn't decrease and I still have winds aloft when approaching the runway.I'm using FS9, the newest FSUIPC (registered), Radar Contact (newest beta version) and the PMDG 737NG, and WXRE V1.91.I have tried this flight this morning with and without RC, although I haven't tried the flight with a default aircraft.Using FS2004 weather writes, forcing destination weather, disabling wx updates when forced and I think I'm set u…

Ive lost count of how many flights ive ruined because of this.Ive just lost yet again a flight after nearly 6 hours.I have tried all the workarounds have the latest FSUPIC and paied for it. I have Weather Centre 2 and AS, and still i lose flights. Why is it that using real world weather in FS2004 never does this??Do you guys need the SDK or something?Im sorry but im not using or spending anymore money to waste my time flying, to get blown away, Im sick to death of it, and Im very fust…

I just purchased the latest version (1.91) for FS2002. I believe I have all the setting correct, however, the lights in the sim look like black boxes and the weather doesn't show. I also have major problems with my add on aircraft not working properly sometimes. Do certain payware planes not work with this prog? I noticed you mentioned that the AA and AS are too high, however, I've turned them off in my Nvidia driver utility (AA off and AS application), but to no avail. Also, what should be turned on or off in the FS hardware settings? Turning mip-mapping off seemed to make it work once, but not the second time. Kind of frustrated. My system:Pentium 4 1.81 Gig RDRAM…

Are there any step-by-step instructions available for using offline mode? I am using WXre 1.91. I consulted the PDF manual but I found no clear instructions at all. The "Offline Mode" section consists of a few brief paragraphs without any specific instructions other than specifying you must select a "valid .wfx file." The "Offline File Reference" section seems to be written with the assumption that the reader is already familiar with the operation of Offline mode, which I am not.Specifically, here is what I would like to do:1. Download weather for the next 24 hours. Typically I would like to do this in the evening. My time zone is -5 UTC (CDT). Therefore I would be…

Hi there,I wanted to check the weather in ONLINE mode.I have 'use system time' and 'auto time zone detection' I live in the Netherlands, so I have my UTC conversion set at 2GMT + 1 (+1 for Daylight saving)I started in Rotterdam, the local time was 1108 (0908Z)Only the problem is that Activesky wxRE calculated a METAR of 0755Z(SEE ATTACHMENTS)That is 1 hour earlier, so not the correct live weather. And in the docs it says that the METARS are issued every hour. So at the start of my flight there should have been a METAR of 855Z.Am I doing something wrong (I think all my settings are correct) The weather certainly didn't look like the real weather...It was raining quite hard…

I have read all the info, and tried all the latest versions of whatever is needed to run FS9 and Activesky, but always have the same problem. I have excellent wx, whether it be clouds, rain, etc, and then maybe 5 to 10 nm miles out my wx clears to cloudless, uneventful skies. Anyone have any idea of what I may have set wrong, or what the issue could be?HarryCVA5812

Question. What I've noticed with active sky over the default FS 2004 weather is that it doesnt handle localized weather real well. By this I mean, if I take off from point a, and point b is 30 miles north of my with thunderstorms, and point a is sunny, activesky has a hard time displaying this distant weather. Flight sim's default real weather shows storm clouds in the distance, but active sky shows sunny skies until I get in the area of airport b.Is this a flaw with active sky?
