Gentleman,I have purchased AS2004 and have the latest version of FSUIPC.I have read the manual cover to cover and have set all options in AS2004 according to recommendations. I have followed all startup recommendations including clearing of weather and setting up route flight plans.I have imported flight plans in the correct procedure described and have selected route wind smoothing in the AS2004 options menu.I am not getting cloud transitions either while on the ground or airborne. Hi Damian,With the new AI traffic stuff in FSUPIC, is it possible for you to be able to get AS to display the Current destination runway that is in use.This would really help out. Now I wouldnt put it past myself if I have read too much into what it means and I have got the wrong end of the stick, but in any case, if you dont ask you dont get.I also understand that we would have to be within the 80NM limit of the destination airport, but knowing the Active runway from 80nm out is a whole lot better than knowing it when you have only 10 mins left.any considertion of this would be great.ThanksJason

HiNo problem with downloading and installation. Just fired up AS2004 for the first time tonight and downloaded online-weather. Got some pretty cold temperatures in the upper atmosphere as you can see from the attached picture, -461 at FL240. Seems to be some trouble with the decimals, maybe. Apart from that everything looks fine so far.Esbjorn

Hi,I'm thinking of getting AS2004 having used AS2002 before - but I've got a couple of questions:1/ Does AS2004 have any facility to model weather situations? Because I do a lot of my sim flying in the UK, I find that the real world weather is not always worth using, so it would be nice to get the AS2004 benefits in a scenario, like the themes included in FS2004..2/ Does AS2004 affect contrails? At last MS have made them visable from aircraft flying at lower altitudes then the aircraft producing them. I've managed to lengthen the contrails using fx files, and I don't want the effect reduced in any way. Jon

Looks like a great program and I am looking forward to using it.One small problem-when I click ctrl f12 to bring up active radar-I get the activeradar box-then "initializing activeradar". I have just downloaded and installed active sky and now suddenly it seems my auto throttle on my aircraft no longer monitors the aircraft speed and now im doing 400 knots at 8000 ft. I can still control the throttle manually but the auto throttle seems to be all or nothing. any ideas?? This seems to be happening on all the planes.Don:(

Hello,I just installed the new AS2004 - I have two problems / Questions1. When the Ctrl- 12 is activated I get the radar window and another large black box in the upper left corner of the Screen. I cannot get rid of the box and it stays there until I Ctrl-12 the radar away. The radar box is also on the screen and it seems to look OK.2. The actual aircraft sim seems to be halted while the box/radar are displayed. Is that normal???Thanks,Ron [email protected]

Damian or beta testers (or anyone for that matter). Might be a stupid question but the manual doesn't get into specifics in this regard.What are the recommended FSUIPC settings for AS2004? Not specifically a hard and fast value. But what items in FSUIPC can be "tweaked" that will have an effect on AS2004?Also, in AS2004 Options, I cannot decrease the maximum number of cloud layers. The field is set at 10 and disabled. Is this set through FSUIPC?Again, sorry if these are stupid questions or something I might have missed. Between AS2004 and PMDG 737 SU2, I have not had a whole lot of sleep the past couple of nights. ;-)

I'm a long time user of Active Sky wxRE and AS2004 is just beautiful! Great work guys. Just a few things.This may have been asked although I didn't see anything obvious. I use ActiveCamera 2004 and the F12 is tied to that program. This brings up a window for ActiveCamera and conflicts and sometimes freezes FS9. I have to hit ctrl-alt-delete to get out of FS but then I can get back in thankfully. In any event...is there a way to assign AS2004 to another key?An additional question I have concerns the possibility of integrating the entire AS2004 window in particular panels. The new AS2004 seems to do a wonderful job of representing the atmospheric conditions. Great work guys. One question. I'm getting fairly cnstant screen flickering when running AS2004. Is this normal? Have the settings per instructions. Running 3.0 P4, 1gig ram ATI9800 Pro with latest Cats. Thanks

I just printed off a report for KALB->KBOS viaKALB.GRAVE.GRISY.HURLY.GDM.BRONC.LOBBY.REVER.KBOSand printed the NAVLOG. The columns for GRAVE and BRONC were shifted to the right by one column.I'm printing to a HP LJ2300For the other rows, the DIST column is right up against the WAYPOINT column.-- Scotte

Great product so far but I am having problems with the Active Radar. I am running a WideFS setup and I did install Active Radar just like the Forum message said...so I have the .dll and the ActiveRadar folder in the modules directory of FS9. I am able to activate the display and bring it up and go through the different displays....but there is no current information being displayed. The Tracking info is not showing Nearest Station weather. AS2004 on the WideFS computer is running just fine, updating as I fly and changing the weatherwinds in FS9 perfectly. It is not communicating to the radar display though. ThanksSteve

Guess I get to ask the first support question.Wanna make sure I did this right.Downloaded and installed on my WideFS computer, then tried to run the configuration to put activeradar on my FS computer. Wouldn't work, gave me an error about not finding F:/ drive.So, I manually copied the activeradar.dll and the .bmp folder into my MSFS modules folder.Did I do right?Thanks,

Hi Damian - Purchase, download and install went fine. Still reading the docs so this *may* be mentioned but I haven't seen it yet - I generally fly in full screen mode, 1600x1200x32. Even with my tired old eyes it's still great. In playing with the radar ( CTL-F12 ) it went to a small gauge like display - the problem is that with old eyes like mine, the color combination of dark blue on black is almost impossible to see at ANY resolution ( other than the obvious 800x600 etc.). Any way to change that to yellow or white on black or some other color combo?See, I told you it was stupid ? #1 - Just curious - Thanx,Vic

Hi Damian,Just purchased AS2004, looks like another great addition to FS9...just been to a few places, and already I'm amazed at the more realistic haze and mist effects I'm seeing.I bought from Emetrix originally so I purchased that add-on version. Install went well, and everything seems to be working well, except I'm not getting radar returns at all.
