I have had this purchase this software and install it and have ran into a problem, when I load FS2004 it gets as far as the logo screen and crashes back to the desktop. I have install the pick packs one by one and it still crashes back to the disktop. To cut it short I have found the problem and its with ACTIVERADAR.DLL once i remove this file from the modules directory of FS9, flightsim 2004 loads up fine. Flightsim has been updated to FS2004 9.1Ant ideas how to sort this problem. I have gone thru and updated all drivers etc and the CTD still happens untill i remove that file.I'm running flightsimm 2004 on a gigbyte mb 700mbs memory 260 gigs of hdd FX5900 geforce graphic…

I did a quick flight with 1.92.5 and the visibility problem appears to be fixed. Thank you Damian/Jim. However, I ran into another problem and wonder if anyone else can duplicate. It has to do with the cloud base not being updated correctly. I think Jim and Damian are going to hate me..... :D This problem showed up on a short test flight from LFVP to CYYT with the weather listed below. I was flying offline, but I'm sure if the condtions are right, you'll have the same problem online.2006/03/09 02:00LFVP 090300Z 35020KT 5SM -SN DRSN OVC007 M03/M03 A3010 RMK SF8 SLP1082006/03/09 03:00CYYT 090300Z 35020G26KT 4SM -SN DRSN OVC007 M03/M03 A2983 RMK SF8 SLP108The problem …

Has this happened to any of you recently?I'm using ActiveSky 6, Build 470. In the past weeks and months, I would start asv6, select "online updates" and one of the 2 servers would be contacted, and the download would proceed. Now, yesterday and today I try it at several different times and the status line simply says, "....[Contacting HiFi DataNet]...." and that's it. No download, it just sits there. I even let it sit for several minutes to see what happened.I haven't changed a thing in my config.Has something changed with HiFi that I don't know about? Any insight is appreciated...Rhett

I was assigned to takeoff from runway 5 while a 744 was assigned to takeoff from runway 23 simultaneously! The wind direction was approximately 250 to 295 degrees. Snow fall had receded about 40 minutes before.Did the RC controller not see the 744 at the opposite end of the runway or is this some other problem (AFCAD or scenery)? Thanks,

The storms seem much smaller than real world. For example, I flew a SWA route between KBWI and KMCO yesterday at FL400 which was just East of a very active front. Lots of red being painted on real world doppler, and I was using ASv6 Wx Engine connected on line with 10 min updates. The storms were visible but looked more like scattered summer showers than an active front.I have flown real world in same conditions, except I'm between 16000-FL240 in a piston twin. The storms are awesome, and seem to form a wall as far as you can see. Granted I'm twice as high at FL400 but these storms typically have tops exceeding that. However, those that I saw on yesterdays sim flight, and…

With build v470 of ASv6 weather updates minimizes MSFS and places ASv6 as the foreground application. This mostly happens with no flight plan. Is there an option to have weather updates not minimize flight simulator? Thanks,

Howdy, Don't know if it is on my end. But figured I would bring it to your attn. Seem's from last night to current CST 0915. The Hawaii area has been having a problem with downloading and processing the weather in that area seems to be doing some sort of a loop. (PHIK).. Hi,when I start my FS9 with ASv6 the ASG will permanent automatecally open new Icons on the taskline in the bottom right corner of the screen. The longer the flight lasts, the more Icons are being opened, about 6-7 per Hour. When I try to close some of these opened Icons I get an error message. What is wrong? Thanks for help.RegardsPeter

I am a new Active Sky user and it seems to be working well for me. I have Active Sky along with Radar Contact installed in an outboard laptop connected via WideFS and FSUIPC. I like the idea of flying with the real weather. Most of my available time to fly comes during the day and I miss flying at night. My question concerns downloading historical weather. If I download last nights weather -- is it just a snapshot of the weather at a point in time or will it give the real weather over a period of time?RegardsDave

Hi guys,New user here. Excellent programme!! One problem though. I have set the aircraft location to EGLL stand xxx. No matter what way I start AS it seems to default to DGTK as the nearest station. Even with its default startup location set to EGLL and a flight plan loaded and processed starting at EGLL. So I basically get WX for Africa in London.I am using alot of other addons all which read EGLL as the location so its not an FSUIPC/Widefs problem. Using latest FSUIPC/WIDEFS and AS and the update from the forums. All PCs running on XP pro sp2 with no firewall in place.RegardsJames

Every time I try to load ASv6 I get the error "FS9 network not found or is not accessible.....". Then the program loads and connects to FS and appears to be running. The metar bar comes up and weather seems to load. What I am not sure of is if the program is loading completely and running properly.Any thoughts?Tom

Hi everyone,I need help with AS6. What exactly is a metar code. Could someone please give me a metar code so that it is foggy and rainy at KSAN with no wind. Also,Is there any way to make a saved startup file in FS with the AS6 weather already loaded. For example, load up FS go to the airport, park at a gate. Then, activate the AS weather Via the WX configuator. Then go back to FS and once the weather is there save the as a flight. If I did this, every time I load the flight (saved startup file), would the AS weather be loaded in that flight? Or would it be deault weather?Sorry but I am new to all this weather stuff. Many ThanksAlexwww.fs2crew.comhttp://www.fs2crew.com/betat…

Hi all. I'm wondering if the guys on the team know of a way to have wind smoothing up high where you need it but no smoothing down close to the surface where landing with wind gusts would be more realistic. Landing in gusty conditions can be a challenge in the real world but with smoothing on in the sim, the changes are too gradual. Thanks for any input.

One of my favorite activities in flying in FS9 is looking at various country-wide weather and flying into and from inclement conditions that I can find from multiple USA weather map sources. What I seem to encounter over and over again is that FS_Meteo and the built-in Jeppesen seems to do a better job of replicating these found inclement weather conditions more so than Active Sky.Please don't mistake this as a flame; I'm merely asking... have I not set up AS correctly? I have constant online updates checked and from what I can recall, all default conditions checked. From what I understand, AS is supposed to be state of the art in accurate weather generation.TIA for any/al…

Just after take off in any aircraft my AIS goes zero for about a minute then comes back on and then I am doing about 290 KIAS and need to slow down. I have my pitot switch on while this happens so it is not a human error. I was told this was an icing issue with AS6 and that I should turn it off to correct the bug but is there a patch or something I can do to fix this issue and if not I am reporting the bug.thanksLB
