Hi.I have a problems, not allways with constant sttutering.I tried same route online and offline (without stuttering).When online (not allways) I have got sttutering. Available Physical memory was the approx the same in both cases online&offline (350Mb) But CPU usage was 40-70% (online) and 15% (offline).What can cause this. And is it Memory Leak connected with CPU usage???ThanksP.S. I'm using last version of ASV

Can I get Active Sky in operation for local flying rather than with a full flight plan?? In other words, if staying around KTUS, I want realistic weather conditions. Possible, and if so, how do I set up?? Many thanks, B42L8:)

First.... superb software and support, I've purchased every version up to the latest.I have never yet prevented the, sometimes large, pressure setting changes despite setting the smoothing options in FSUIPC (registered) to 1 mb every 3 seconds... even tried 1 mb every 10 seconds.I was flying across the pond yesterday and several times my altitude had an instant change between 120 and 300 feet. Taking the worst case thats a pressure change of 30 mb in an instant!Is it possible to; if standard pressure of 1013 is set then disable any pressure changes, or toggle on/off, if local QNH is standard. The same also goes for visibility smoothing.... that never works either.

What happens!?!If i load previously downloaded METAR's and process my FS9 flightplan PHNL to KSFO i keep getting such error with any METAR (i tried march 6th, march 7th, march 9th, yesterday and today).and also if i only insert departure and destination ID with cruise altitude i still get same error.now, what to do in this case?thanks in advanceP.S. if i enter different Dep's and Dest's i do not get errorLuigi ;-)

Hello.reporting what seems to be a bug. dont know. but have experiensed it several time.speed drops down to 0, even with pitot heat on and anti ice on.have tried it on many aircrafts. so I wonder what caused it.I can assure that the pitot heat is real button and not a false.is it a fix for it? have build 470 ciaoAnders

I have the latest version of FSUIPC (regestered) and I have wake turb and increased wake effects checked in the ASV6 menu and i was in a C172 landin at KSEA following an Alska MD-80 but got no effect from it I have Ultimate Traffic as an AI Addon could there be a conflict there because they show up on TCAS PMDG Level D PSS so plz help

Hello,I have a problem with ActiveSky when using the online mode: the download of the current weather takes place as expected, but once the update is completed, AS performs another new update.The problem currently occurs with AS6 + ASG, but it was the same with the previous version (ASV enhanced)Any clue? I need some help.... I still get FOG appearing and desappearing. Whats going on. I didnt really have the issue with ASV5. Today at KDFW it was nice and VFR, but with a bit of fog and then I went down 200ft and it was all gone. I was not in a cloud or anything. I have the same issues at KSAN which is almost all the time doing it...Alex

I'm a new user to ActiveSky V1.9 wxRE. When I start up FS2002 and ActiveSky I get this message that never goes away:Winds Aloft Initializing...I am running Online/Live with cable internet.ActiveSky 1.5 also did much the same thing only I got a download error for Winds Aloft.The rest of the weather seems to be ok a realistic compared to what is outside my window.Any suggestions would be welcome.Thanks,

First, I apologize if you already read this in another forum, alot of us frequent many forums some of us only one or two and I am trying to get as much visibility to this post as possible.Everyone, I really hope this is the final fix. This could get long because it has been almost a year long struggle and I tired everything as you can see below but I think I finally found an issue that might affect a lot of others. If you want the quick fix skip right to the end but trust me it is worth the read. Hello to the Active Sky Crew.....For the past few weeks I have been noticing a strange tendency for AS6 to place cirrus layers UNDER mid level Cumulus clouds. In real life I don't believe this occurs, and this seems very unrealistic to me. To be honest, I don't know when this started because I haven't changed anything with AS since build 470. I am running Build 470 with an Athlon 3200/1.5 gig RAM/ATI 9800 pro dual Seagate Barracuda HDs in RAID 0 config.Anybody else seeing this and can this be fixed?Thanks........J Swier

Hi.I'm an ASv6 "Newbe" and I like it alot.When I fly with online real weather updates at areas where there is cludinnes, I get BIG beautifull comulus clouds (if indeed these conditions exist at that time in that area)However - when I try to duplicate this situation manually for off-line(by using the Wx configurator) I get much smaller comulus - no matter what coverege I set on the METAR sintax (I.E 2/8 - 7/8).I must say that other than turning on-line updated off, I don't change any of the settings for ASV and ASG and they stay the same as they was for on-line updates.My question: how can I control the size of the clouds manually?Is there any other way to control the WX o…

Hi, While downloaded weather is obviously the greatest way to make your skies look incredible, sometimes I just don't get the right runways open for arrivals/departures in FS9, due to FS9's inherent quirks. So, often I like to just pick the appropriate looking cloud parameters in ASG to match the sky in my area, and go flying. When I get in the sim, I go to advanced weather and add the layers, temps, vis, etc.. This gives me better control in matching real world runway operations for the given day....but it seems I am having problems setting multiple wind layers. I can set them in the weather options, but they never are active past the first layer in the sim. Is there an…

I have the software installed and have checked all my settings with a friend whose ASV6 works perfectly. My FSUIPC is the latest version and registered however try as I might I cannot get the weather to load in FS2004. I wait for the blue sky to change and nothing happens - when I toggle to ASV6 it tells me that "AS is paused - refresh to start processing". If I refresh it loads the weather for KSEA which used to be my default flight. I have been through my FS2004 and FSUIPC settings and these are both as they should be.Can someone help please - after 2 hours of trying I am getting nowhere?ThanksNigel

Hi guys! I've been using ActiveSky for the past 6 months and just love it. However, I'm having a problem I hope you can help me with. I recently installed SP3. After doing so, Active Sky Graphics gives me a CTD within a few seconds of launch. Any ideas other than re-installing? :)Matt Zagoren

This issue is a little vague to me but I want to run it by others to see if there are any other similar reports.Im not even sure it active sky related but i have a strong senserecently with my pdmg I have had rpoblems with fs9 crashing on long flights with a sky. Obviously very frustrating on a long flight.I fairly sure it post service update. and I have never had it happen without act sky running. I also have a vague idea it may do with fs9 when fs9 pauses for some reason ( it is set to do so at top of decent) I know this is vague but wonder if anyone else has had similar probs.Mike

I had this same same problem with ASV 5 so I thought if I bought the version 6 it would go away, my problem is every time I click the ASV6 icon it says please wait while windows configures ASV6 graphics and ASV6. Then it says "The feature you are tyring to use is on a network resource that is unavailable." Then, "Click OK to try again or enter an alternate path to a folder containing the installation package "Active Sky version 6 and ACTIVESKY Graphics.msi in the box below."" If i choose to start my flight from Active Runway I most likely will not be in that position when FS has loaded?!I start up ASV6 and let it finish loading, then I fire up FS and creates a flight where I want to start at the Active Runway but most of the times I will be positioned in the wrong direction (according to the actual winds)...?Could this be solved somehow?I have the Auto refresh AI option ticked.
