to get rid of it! How can I configure ActiveSky so that more natural colors return? I dabbled in FS Skyworld 2004 and perhaps overwrote my default colors, then began using ActiveSky, and when I restored my original files of course it brought back in colors that perhaps came from FS Skyworld. Any help in getting color schemes that look more like FS default would be much appreciated. This looks terribly fake, like I'm taking off on Mercury!Noel

Quick question, and if this has been mentioned before I apologize for bringing it up again.In ASv6, I have limited my visibility to 30 miles. ASv6 does it, but the visibility layer appears blocky, or the boundary is square and not smooth or blended, it moves along with the aircraft. Basically a large circle (with square edges) around the aircraft. Not sure if this is FS9 related or ASv6.I'll do a further search for any information. Bought a new rig yesterday despite the inherent risk of hardware before software release (Vista and FSX). I figured I'd be pretty safe and really wanted to max out FS9 with ASv6, Ultimate Terrain, BEV, max resolutions etc in the interim--besides it was compliments of the IRS! Hi,I have read all the threads and FAQ about the issue and have tried every ways but still cannot get activeradar installed. The same message "Program Error...Exiting (Verigy proper file locations and Mapped Drive to the ROOT of the WideFS/ASv6 Machine)" still occurred.My setups are :In WideFS PC, ASv6 installed to C: drive. ASv6 folder shared. C:drive shared.In FS PC, FS9 folder shared, application data folder shared, flight simulator files folder shared, C: drive in WideFS PC mapped as Z:.Use registered FSUIPC.I have network and WideFS properly connected. ASv6 worked perfect in submitting weather data to FS, just cannot install the active radar.DanielVHHH

Why is it that with probe heat on the speed still freezes up? And is iceing actually simulated, if I fly into ice without anti ice on can the plane eventually stall?

I am quite new to Active Sky, so maybe I ask stupid questions.1. When I am flying in FS2004 for example ActiveSky gives an outside temprature of -50 C, my aircraft (PMDG 737) gives -22. Also the winds given by ActiveSKy are different than the winds shown on the displays in the cockpit and FMC.2. A question about the wheatersettings in FS2004. Hello,I observed that the fog display is sometimes not realistic.I am on the ground at the airport with a lot of fog (airport almost closed) ; I take off in the thick fog; at XXXX feet I come out of the fog (nice sky) BUT when I look back (spot view) I can see the details of the airport and there is no more fog....Did mis something in the options of ASv6?Thanks in advance.

When I choose ActiveSky random settings (for all options) do I need to "update" the file in order for a different random selection, or is it automatically different each time I start FS2004?

I have noticed that my clouds flicker on the edges when using Active Sky. It almost seems like portions of them disappear and reappear very quickly. Is it my graphics card issue, simulator issue, or a setup problem somewhere. I have a fairly high-end machine, so I am running 512x512 textures. CheersSKPS: MY BAD! is there any way to make the water color matching my recent sky color theme ? im using the water enhancement guide with Vilk's Water. id like activesky to update my water color according to the sky colors, sometimes on sunsets i have like bright blue water and dark brownisch orange sky. that looks too wierd.regards, tom.

Hi allim having trouble submitting weather from ASG to FS. I load up my theme lets say "winter wonderland" i click send to fsi get a message after a minute saying the theme will be loaded once fs is loaded or restarted. so i boot up FS and click fly now and its not a winter wonderland lol am i missing something here or a setting i havent clicked?thanks

Hi all. I have finally given in and purchased Active sky 6. Well worth it. But at the moment I'm not sure what textures are in use. I have tried to run Active graphics, but recieve an error message 'The application failed to intialize properly (0x0000135). Click ok to terminate the application.'. I have uninstalled and reinstalled, but the same error appears. Any suggestions. Kind regardsPaul Edwards

Hi,I had ASV6 working perfectly on a widefs PC. Then for other reasons, I had to reinstall FS2004. It was installed to the same location as before (after I uninstalled the old install completely). I also uninstalled ASV6 on the widefs PC.All mapped network paths were untouched. I reinstalled ASV6 successfully and ran the activeradar connector from the fs2004 PC successfully. However when I start ASV6, it asks me to browse to the path for some files (which I do, successfully) but it then quits with the error "Initializing Error Reading Files"I have even reinstalled the .net framework and verified all paths and permissions.Any help appreciated.Thanks,Pesi

Hi allI'm sorry but I still can't get the winds to insert in my FSBuild flight plans. I was able to do this on previous versions so I am reasonably informed of the requirements.I have checked there is a current weather txt file in my Modules folder and path is correct in Options for FSBuild.Would someone who has this working mind giving me a step by step procedure.Any help appreciated...I've run out of ideas

HI everyone, I don't know about you but I always have pet hates in FS9 and although after years of tweaking I am narrowing them all down I still have afew left. One of them concerns that horrible straight line you can see when the sun sets on horizon Please refer to my screen shot attached to see what I mean. I thought just the precip was too light, but now even under what the tracking screen calls heavy rain, nothing appears in active radar, only wind heading.This may be since the update but Im not really certainI cant seem to find anything in the manual to helpMike

I have FS9 and Squakbox 3.x loaded. Everything worked fine. The pop up windows still allow me to see the panel and outside view. However, ever since loading AV6, the pop screens, SB and Jeppeson SimChart, the panel and outside view is "blanked" from the top of the window to the bottom of the screen.Obsouvly, something got set that should not have and I don't know which "knobs" to adjust.Anybody seen this before or have some ideas of what changed?Greg.

Hello team, After years of tweaking....I would like to congratulate you on helping me obtain the sim I have wanted to achieve. As you can see from the picture , and it isn't a real plane, Activesky's quality is in the flying so to speak. I have one final issue I have and that concerns the straight line which appears under the sun when it is setting.Please see my other post Straight line on horizon sunset where i elaborate about this issue.RegardsPaul

When taking off for KSEA the other day, my IAS quit reading as I climbed above 4000 ft.
