I have a question I cant solve :-)I'm departing from an airport with 7000 meters visbility.But after 10nm or 7000ft it all changed and it looks like clear skies.... what should I set ?

Damian,Is it correct that when selecting the Force Destination Weather option, all stations within 80nm are set to the destination weather?Please consider making that a variable parameter - perhaps with a maximum distance of 80 and a minimum distance of 25. Thanks.-michael

Hi all,We have had a few isolated reports of "Out of memory" errors and subsequent FS9 crash when ASG's "Keep ASG Open during auto-submit" option is enabled and some time has passed after starting the session (usually after 2-5 hours).We have been working hard to isolate and fix this problem, and believe we have done it by re-designing some of the memory/variable handling routines within ASG. Hi!I'm very new to ActiveSky, and in the read me installation standard it says in point 8: Choose "all weathersettings off" option in FSUIPC....Where can I find "all weathersettings", I've started FS2004 and looked in settings, but cant find.Shall ActiveSky always run while FS2004 runs?Kjetil

HiIve been having some weird AS behavior around this location. Looks like its on the edge of the pseudo stations that this problem happens.What happen is that once I enter Concorde SM track I get info in AS that closest station is one of the pseudo stations. AS write weather, but after a few seconds the metar info window jumps back to one of the Irish stations wich causes AS to write again. Note that the closest station indicated is still the pseudo station, it just the metar info that changes for a second. When AS start the update the metar changes back to the pseudo station.Basically this causes AS to go into a continous write loop for a few minutes. Once I get closer t…

Hi,I never had any problems before to get connected to server 1 or 2, but since yesterday I cannot download the current weather. Hi, I'm relatively new to FS9 and I just got ASV6 + ASG and have been in the process of setting up options, etc. A few issues/questions came up and I tried searching but didn't find answers to my questions (specifically, anyway).(1) AS6 will open from desktop icon, but ASG gives me an error saying that v1.1.4322mscorwks.dll can't be loaded. I'm pretty sure I have the most current .NET Framework version (1.1), but I'm not sure about this initialization error and what it means. I have a wireless network, and due to the location of my computer the network connection can break sometimes.During these times, AS6 will fail to download the latest weather. There will be a message like 'Download failed. Will attempt at next interval.' However, when this happens, stations along the route don't seem to be updated.The last two flights I've made were into Heathrow, and I got the weather through AS6 during descent. In both occasions, visibility has been low (3-4km), and the temperature has been around 0*c. When I get on the approach at Heathrow however, the temperature is 10*c and I can see the runway from 8 miles. When I minimise FS, AS6 has the message I p…

I have had ASV about a month now and everything seems fine with the program itself. The problem I'm having happened as well with FSMeteo but no one could solve it. I have the Flight1 Meridian and fly it a lot. Whenever I have ASV running and am nicely cruising along, the sim updates the weather and it's almost as if my plane is hit by something. My airspeed instantly jumps to above red line (188) and the annoying overspeed horn sounds. It eventually settles back to my normal settings, but then the whole thing starts again at the next update. Hiya,Im new to using Activesky and from what I have seen so far it looks fantastic. But I have a few questions as its quite a complex program and it will help me to understand it better.1. I understand AS6 covers real-time weather but Ive been trying to use the Custom Wx templates for extreme weather such as thunderstorms. I tried a thunderstorm at Stansted EGSS and at first I had clear skies, then after about a minute the clouds appeared? Is this right?2. Following on from point 1, in AS6 the weather template said rain etc.. but when it loaded the real weather for a thunderstorm it said no rain. Wondering if you can advise at what point "submit" actually takes place in my routine for starting, and also on importing winds to FSBuildI have a second pc for ASV6 and FSBuild1.I plan with FSBuild2.Start up ASV6 (paused) and Download Current Weather(use Wx Influenced settings)3.Import my FSBuild plan and process...all OK to here4.Back to FSBuild to import winds to my plan...PROBLEM!5.Start FS on main pc and hit Refresh on ASV6 to activate the wx in FS.The problem with 4. is I cannot get the winds to import...have set up correct path for ASV6 in Options. G'day,I was just wondering if it would be possible to download past weather using a seperate interface then AS6. I ask because I don't have direct net access now for the next few months, but would still like to download the entire weather for the last week on a seperate computer (Say at a cafe). Maybe this could be via a web page, or a seperate program. I realise that this is not the most requested new feature (if requested all), but it would greatly enhance the experience for people without a direct internet conection like myself. Today I bought Active Sky6 and of course installed it.. I did not trigger with it too much and tested it with F1 Cessna.. ok.Then I tried 3 times to fly with Boeing 737 from PMDG. Every try ended in the end of the loading the flight with that beloved black screen.. and in every case the error message named a file "737ng-main.gau" (or sth like that) to be the guilty. After this I rebooted my machine and did a good flight with your 738 without running my brand new AS (as I was in hurry to be in scheduled time in VATSIM). Now.. I had AS6 running before starting FS9.. is that the correct way?Is there (I don't believe) incompatability between these two add-ons?I will post this…

I'd like to roll back to the original AS6 from SU2 until some of the issues are resolved. I got AS6 as an upgrade from ASV and have since deleted ASV. I have the AS6 setup launcher on my hard drive. Can I just run it and overwrite the present version? Should I uninstall first? Mike

Is it possible to use these two products together??The reason why I ask is that I recently saw a video that someone made of a 777-200 flight from and to EDDF. And in the credit list he list those two products/programs together, making a wonderfull winter conditions.Anyone tryed this? I thought those two Programs where competitors, doing allmost the same thing.

I recently had to reinstall windows which wiped out a lot of my Flight sim stuff so after reinstalling everything, including Active Sky, I am unable to open Active Sky Graphics. I can open and use Active Sky 6 weather engine alright but when I try to open ASG I get this error message "The application failed to initialize properly (0xc00001235). Click on OK to terminate application." I tried reinstalling ASv6 as well as the recent update but no matter what I have done ASG never works. Any help on this would be appreciated. Thanks.Ryan
