I fly around KTPA a bit and it seems I always get a major shift in visibilty when flying around. I'm thinking that an airport nearby is reporting something less than 10 miles and causing it but I have Suppression checked and also Force Destination weather checked. I always plug in my route even if I'm flying KTPA to KTPA. Today, I departed KSRQ which is only about 30 miles south and it was unlimited visibility reported at both airports. Nearing KTPA from the south, vis drops to under 10 miles for a couple minutes, then increases back to unlimited on short final to KTPA. Seems to always happen just south of KTPA. And I have checked those post talking about the Oficial realism settings, I have had like it and works wonderful, but Im not totally sure if this option -> "Fog Layer Generation" it's so better enabled or disabld (about realism). No matter what I do everytime I decend to my destination I am enveloped by fog until I am 6-8miles out from runway. I can stop it if I go up to fsuipc and turn off all whether but I would like to know what is causing this stupid problem. I had this problem before installing Activesky but the program hasnt resolved it either. I have disabled all fog or haze related options in active sky does anyone know where else I can disable any kind of fog?

I have been trying to download the latest metar and the file I keep getting from both Server 1 and Server 2 is loaded with weather for January 12th, not January 14th. The file name is correctly labeled with today's date and time (20060114-19Z), but the metars in the file are two days old. I am using ASv6 version SU1-E. Hi All,I discover this when fs2004 was running, with or without others software running, I copied near 100 BMP manually with my mouse to a folder, when fs2004 was running, the copy process was alot slower then usual, I minimized fs2004 and the copy finish quickly, similar to the WX Download process with AS, this is means, it's related to the system, config, priority of application, especialy since fs2004 use the CPU 100%. currently I have three computers running three monitors (L.F, Front, R.F). My next purchase of a PC for FSX would give me another PC for Left view.I have been using AS6 now and love it... The need for having very similar weather has cropped up(if not the same clouds crossing multiple monitors).Any suggestions? Ideas?Manny

Guys -Got the 'file in use' error on update to halo.bmp with SU1E today. I'm not sure how you're going to fix this one if FS9 is actually using the file. Only thing that I can think of is just to eat the error rather than popping up the dialog.DJ

I am using AS6 with WideFS. On attempting to load AS6, I am getting the requests for the location for FS9 on my server machine machine and my application data folder location,which I enter and seem to be accepted, but them I get a file initialization error and a request to check the files and/or try a reinstall. I have tried several reinstalls to no avail. What is the program looking for?RG

Hi all,Has anyone got AS6 working with Enviroment Pro from flight1??I would of course want to use AS6 clouds etc, but enviroment pro does a few extra things so I have read like water etc??Has anyone done this? Hi Guys - Installed update 1E and have lost the AR dockable window. Load ASV6 as usual, CTRL F12 to bring up A/R - window displays fine. Set it up as usual and click red button - window disappears. Toggling CTRL-F12 just "blinks" the FS9 window title bar but A/R does not show up. Unable to dislpay A/R any longer unless I reload FS9.Restarted all - bring up AR window and drag it to second monitor. Hello!Unfortunately since today I also get the strange mainthread error message when downloading the actual weather.It happens after AS6 wants to "decrypt and write WXData to disc" - I've never had this problem before.I also installed the latest update but it didn't help at all.Thank you in advance for your help!Christoph

Damian/Jim,Lately I noticed that when I use time acceleration for more than 1 minute, AS6 aborts with an "error 53 File Not Found" after I hit the Fetch button to get the wx for a entered weather station.I can't rmember that this happened with ASV as well.Regards,Hans

Hi Jim,I was wondering if it were possible to remove the extra overcast in the metar report on frequency 122.00, I dont mean remove the layer but not let flightwatch say it in the report.I have overcast enhancement turned on in the options of ASV6, so I hear the first overcast, which matches the metar report if I go online to get a metar report, then I also hear the extra added overcast layer that was added to make a solid overcast in FS2004. It would be nice just to hear what is reported not added on frequency 122.00,Thanks a bunch,

Way back in the mists of time (AS2004) you very kindly added the "Ignore FS Ready Status" setting (I think after I asked about running AS2004 with FSHotSeat). This allowed me to load the weather with AS while still at the FS Menu, as FSHotSeat gathers WX info during the flight load, so loading WX only after the flight had loaded was too late! This option continued to work well throughout ASV and ASVE. However, the situation has changed with ASv6.I run ASv6 across a WideFS link (as with all previous versions), and although Ignore FS Ready Status is checked (and all other settings are as they were with ASVE), when I Refresh with FS at the Menu, no WX stations are submitt…

Just a few questions.When downloading this update should I delete the previous versions?Also although it was no problem using dxt textures before I am unable to access this feature on the new download I just get the error message that it is not enabled within FS9 (which it is) and I have checked and there are no multiple entries either.
