Hellow folksI'm having a problem with ASV6 and FE.I tried to use the textures from FE and unchecked the auto-submit option in the ASV6 menu.After this i started FE and submitted the textures i chose.Now when i run ASV6 and start up FS2004 (in cockpit on the tarmac),i get a CTD.I tried to look where the problem was and i think it has something to do with the textures as my FS crashes as it loads the local weather...Now i don't know if this is an ASV6 issue or a FE issue.I also tried with the ASvG textures and everything is working fine...(nice textures btw ;) ).But i want to try out the FE textures now to see the differences.Any ideas how i can solve this?GreetzSteven

Hi!I have now re-installed ASv6 into my pc, but when i start the program a message pop-up:AS was unable to properly detect you personal Application Data folder (for FS9 wx mapping entries). Please browse to it in the next screen... It is located in the FS9 machine as Documents and Settings[usernameApplication Data. Hi, -Active Sky generate the weather. -Active Graphics are texture, include superior clouds, sky, moon, sun rain etc.Both are related to weather for the weather generation and the visual.Ultimate Terrain will remain like before, since AS AND ASG are not related with the terrain. Trying to install FS9.1 upgrade. Hangs on the Weather.dll Then gives error dialog box. Can't install 9.1 upgrade. No other explanation. I gather ASV changes the original Weather.dll file? Any one know off hand where and what disc that weather.dll file is located so I can install the original. Then what? Do I have to reinstall ASV6? or can I save the Weather.dll file now and re-install it after upgrade? Also I have FSMetar. Can't remember, but I don't think it had to be installed.John

Hello,Since I installed the latest update I have the ASG screen popping up when going out of FS (while it's stille running)and it's in the bar under in my screen. I've chosen the themes already, but still comming back. What to do to avoid this? Never had this before.Thx in advance,John

I have Active Sky and am trying to download the free upgrade to ASv6.However, when I click on ActiveSky's download link to Avsim I get a message saying there is no such file in the library.I have also tried searching the Avsim library using other prompts such as ASv6, ActiveSky and Damian Clark but there is no sign of the upgrade.Can anyone help please?Many thanks.Frank

Chris,Sorry to post this again, but I may have confused you with a previous post by asking about 16 bit clouds. I am not able to check the box for DXT clouds in the ASG. Any suggestions? I did check to make sure Render totexture is selected in FS. Thanks Scott

I am a bit confused now. Anyway, in FS2004 do you set the weather as real world updates or not. It seems that sometimes after starting AciveSky6 then FS I see it set to user defined under weather. Thanks all

This thread is not to discredit you guys....I love the product. Personally though, I prefer the default runway light textures. I always use the the Wx-Influenced themes, and I was able to go and uncheck the runway lights, in the texture properties window, and they wouldn't show up, it worked great. After one of the recent updates however, texture 4b started showing up in the sim. I went back again and again to verify that the box "use this item in random/IGS selections" was unchecked and it is.....but it still submits the texture anyway. I've tried unchecking the runway lights category in the main selection details menu, but it never seems to stay, and becomes checke…

I installed ASV and ASG. I understand that this ought not to have altered my fs9/texture folder. I believe it just created a backup of this folder in my ASGraphics folder in the Modules folder. I then did a Quick Select and installed a Sky Color. I ran fs9 and then shut it down. I then tried to use the ASG Options button "Restore Original Pre-ASG FS9 Texture Folder" and I got the following error message:Unable to restore texture folder...Access to the path "C:Flight Simulator 2004Flight Simulator 9Texture000b2su1.bmp" is denied.This is the correct path for my fs9/texture folder. Hi again,I seem to have a permanent snowstorm NW of San Antonio Tx. Although other conditions seem to change, there seems to be a persistant snowstorm in FS2004 for several days now. Living in this area, I can be sure that there are no snow conditions. Hello and I hope you guys can help.First I love as6, But ever since I got it my frame rate has drop greatly, and now fs2004 just keeps crashing. What I'm doing wrong? do I need to upgrade my graphic card or do you have any suggestion before I start throwing away money?I my graphic card is a radeon 9200 and it work great with asv.Any input????

I was wondering how, by looking at the weather enroute and at destination, how one determines if there will be turbulance? Is there somewhere that describes how to read the print out METAR? This would be helpful when choosing my flight level.Also, how is turbulance detected in FS? I have AS6, registered FSUIPC and all sliders maxed. However, I never seem to have turbulance. How is it shown in FS? ThanksBrad

I hope this is not a stupid question. We had a pretty bad storm here in the Memphis area a couple nights ago and I was sitting at KMEM. I had ASV6 loaded and I got heavy rain and thunder but I did not see a lot of lightning as was the case with the actual storm.Does ASV6 reproduce the lightning from the METAR report or is lightning reproduced by the sim in some random way?I wanted to try out the extreme lightning add-on to see how it compares to the default lightning.Thanks and a fantastic product. I am trying to help a friend set up his FS9 and was bragging about asv6 which he is ready to buy. Before he does anything though his sim gives him awful low vis realism! With his setup this is a shot of what we get with 1/2 mile vis 1000 foot ceiling and we are 2000 agl using stock fs9 weather.Compaq presario, amd xp 2600, Radeon 9200, RAM 1 gb, FS9.1, antialiasing off in game, 4x in ATI setup, trilinear filtering on in FS9. Several times now I have attempted to download arcived files in jauray 2006, and received a warning that this file is older than April 2005, and therefore has limited time resolution (every 6 hours?) and lacks some wind functionality. I also don't (usually) get a download, and an error message indicating that the "folder" is incorrect. I have purchased ASV, and upgraded to AS6.Thanks for any help, it appears OK when I download current weather files (I want the archived ones for simulated IMC flight).Bruce.

How do you randomize all features sky color and environment, 3d clouds all tabs etc....And whats the difference between sky color theme and sky color sets and random environment theme and/or random all under the environment category?Edit also when would one want to use weather influence instead of random, is this to be selected on the options menu with auto submit on?
