New to forum and AS. Jim Skorna recommends in his piece "Realistic Weather Settings" that under the graphic section in AS Options, Auto-Submit with Wx Influenced be selected. If it is not selected, what happens?Thanks in advanceKemoF15

The installer has been "removing files" now for around 15 minutes????I have to leave the house and cannot turn off the puter.If I cancel installation wioll I loose ASV6 ?Allen

just tried to install service update 3 but i get an error message saying asv/e is not installed-but it is and i have had no problems installing previous updates.Any ideas,thanks

Hello,SU3 installed and it seams that my FPS is back to normal, thanks for that.I "fly" with FSNav window active and I found out that from time to time the "wind direction/velocity" small window available in the bottom left corner of FSNav window disappears and comes back after 20 to 40 seconds . I never have seen this before .I made screen shoots (to big for upload ) and I did send them to your "tell-us" address. Nice product !!

First, I wanted to thank you for fixing my request back in SU 1 regarding ASv6 accessing the wx station at KRSV. I now have a related question. When I import a flightplan to AS, AS sees KRSV as it should. However, ActiveRadar does not recognize KRSV as a valid airport and defaults to KLWV. If I try to insert KRSV in Activeradar, it does not recognize it. Is this simply due to the data that the radar needs not being available from the KRSV wx station, or should it be able to get it from there?Thanks!!!KP

Hi there I wonder if someone can help. I'm using AS6 alongside a range of aircraft, and almost always during a flight the Airspeed indicator goes from the initial airspeed eg 250 knots down to zero. The same goes for the air speed shown in FS9 when you display it at the top of the screen. If you refresh the weather in AS6 the ASI comes back, (and then goes away again!)but it is a real nuisance as some aircraft are not happy with this, esp if you using auto-throttle!I have installed the latest upgrades of AS6 and use FSUIPC 3.53. Hello,newbie to ActiveSky, the other day i loaded a flight in FS and used the FS9 customized weather and loaded it up (as i dont know how to do this in Activesky yet). I was suprised to find how good the weather looked, very similar to Activesky. my question is even without AV6 loaded does FS9 use AV6 weather graphics?

Found that the NDV code after a visibility is making AS set incorrect vis.Example:EGPL 122150Z 16008KT 0900NDV OVC001/// 07/07 Q1011With this met the vis is set above 10SM wich is wrong.NDV is means No Directional Variance or something like that. Basically it means that the instrument is not capable of detecting varying vis depending on direction.Hope you can find a fix for this ;)

I just purchased Active Sky last night. I have been using the FSMetar for years, and finally decided to try AS. So far I have been impressed with the real world weather depiction. However I have a few questions for the experts out there.1. Is there anyway to get low level clouds that obscure the ground from higher altitudes. it seems that while on the ground I'm socked in and it appears the way I would expect in a storm. Example; today I placed myself at LGA, and was experiencing almost 100 ft visibility, but when I climbed to 7000 Ft AGL. I could see the groud clearly there were no lower level clouds blocking my view of the ground. Is this just a FS quirk and I will just…

Hi Guys,Small question. I want to be able to use certian sky color etc that I like but want to have the ICS clouds available in AS6 how do I go about this? At the moment I have created my own theme with the clouds set to WX Influenced and the sky, dawn, dusk etc. colors that I like. Then I have gone into AS6 and selected it under theme and wx-influenced for cirrus the auto-submit checkbox is also checked. Is this right?CheersCarmelo

While I enjoyed ASV5 very much so I upgraded to ASV6 a while ago. I fix the issue once, but now it seems to be back again. It was nice and FOGGY at KSAN and once I got to FL250 the FOG just desapeared. I didnt have this issue with ASV5...I want to know what can I do to fix the issue. At Cyul 5:00 pm local EST time the winds in real life were at 140 at 10 kts, in ASV they were 230 at 02 kts and in fetching the report in ASV it was 000 at 00 kts and in fs9 as per the tower they were 130 at 8 kts?Whats going on?

Let me say first something about the sunset and dawn colours, I believe this latest version of ASV is outstanding and no comparison could be made with other programs such FE.I used FE for the textures and the previous version of ASV6 wich was ASV enhanced for the weather only then when ASV6 came out I have finally unistalled FE.Well I am still missing FE clouds first because their shape was more realistic and also because with ASV seems like they are not focused when flying close ( I am using 256x256 the same resolution I used with FE).I mostly fly liners so I am disappointed with that pale bleu colours wich is really unnatural, using wx-influenced auto-submit both boxes …

To whom it may concern,I have been having problems getting AS6 to accurately depict the METAR string. When there is only one high altitude cloud layer being reported by the a local weather station, sometimes AS6 likes to generate at least 2 cloud layers.The other day, there was a single cirrus cloud layer being reported at 25,000 feet over Las Vegas. Upon updating AS6 and entering the simulator, there was an additional cumulus layer hanging out over the mountains at around 17,000 feet. Thinking this may be due to an error in local wx station reporting (as there was no real-world cloud layer at 17,000 feet at the time), I fetched the local KLAS metar string, which clearly …

Had to replace my hardrive and xfered all the files to the new drive.Trying to pick up the pieces and reinstal Fs9 and all the adddons. YippeeeeI reinstalled 4.5 no problem.Now trying to install the new version again I get a serror message.Wrapper requires asv/e.So its telling me active sky isnt loaded? hi there,i really dislike that reduced visibility when rolling on the ground.that shortly after takeoff changes into a clear sunny sky above (correct) and below (WHAT?!?) my aircraft, so that i can clearly whatch the airport details.but shouldn'it be foggy down there?any thoughts?Luigi ;-)

Need some information or help for ASVI have my FS9 installation setup over a LAN using WideFS, FS9 on my main PC and utilities (eg: Squawkbox, servinfo, etc) on a second PC. I have ASV installed on the second PC and active radar on the main FS9 PC as per installation instructions. What I am interested to know however concerns the weather textures that are in the "ASVModulesASVActiveEnvironment" folder if they are there on my second PC how is FltSim able to display them within the FS9 program.
