Hello,When I start ASv6 with WideFS I get a message saying " Your FS9 folder is not located on this machine. Please browse to it on the next screen" I click OK to go to the next screen where I do browse to it. I then get another message saying that I should "now save your options to apply this new location to your settings" However, I do not see anywhere where I can save these settings. Consequently, every time I start ASv6, I have to browse to the FS9 folder again.I have attached screen shots of the two messages.I would appreciate any help. Thanks :)sbd4

OK, don't think I've come across this one before but having MS Internet Explorer open seems to greatly improve my ASv6 weather download speed. I've noted that ever since ASv6 came out, ASv6 downloads from either server1 or 2 took a minute or two to complete. I always thought Damien must have throttle the servers again. But today, I happened to be using MS IE to surf when I started ASV6 and the download only took 5 or 10 seconds. The kind of broadband rate you would expect. This is still true after updateding to SU4. I can even start ASv6 first with slow downloads, then start IE and watch it drastically speed-up as soon as IE is done loading. I do have ASv6 on a Wid…

Hi all, I'm not sure I'm using AS6 right, because I loaded up FS and went to OKC where I'm looking out my window and it's completely dark and rainy, but when AS loads the weather, it is giving me like almost scattered skies, while the green weather information bar at the top reads actual weather, it just doesn't seem to want to load the actual weather. I don't remmber having this problem before, is it my graphics settings. I think I have all my settings on "Wx-influenced" thinking that that will give me the most realistic conditions? I used the FSGS with Michael and he is running Activesky on his FS machine and he says he starts Activesky before FS. He indicated when using autosubmit with themes for Activesky that Activesky graphics load together.With a widefs setup FS needs to be running first so that the client can connect. Is this going to be a problem?Does ASG have to be setup differently on a WideFS setup?Thanks,

HiI've used the AS6 and ASG since its release with all the latest patches, but in the ASG option menu for cloud sets the option for DXT cloud set is blanked out. In other words, I can't set it on.Render to texture is set on in FS9I thought all cloud sets was wrapped in the installer or is this a separat download file?ThanksReid

I have a question for the ActiveSky guys:In the future, are you going to incorporate some routines that will make FS coordinate precipitation type with altitude air temperature/snow level/forecast info.? I am always real dissappointed to get rain all the way up through 15,000 ft. cloud tops when the snow level is way down around 3,000ft. MSL., or less.Or is my ActiveSky not working correctly? Should it be setting these variables and isn't?Thanks,SK

I have seen that using ASV6 the change of the weather it's not so smooth like I believed! When I fly from a zone to another zone I see clouds appears or disappears, pass through blu sky into foggy skies... I believe that is not completely right so I ask if I have forgotten to click some option.Thanks

Hi,When loading route from PHNL to RJAA (or LAX) to ASV6 b470, I'm getting an "error during process..." when the wxReport and Nav Log comes back.Then wx station K2L7 shows up as the nearest station, and shows "temporary data issue PHIK...skipping station...", and starts loading FS graphics over and over and over.... When PHNL is the destination, seems to work fine. Hey guys... haven't had any problems as of yet and I have had this product since the beginning. But now I am afraid I do have one now...I sometimes leave my flight sim while in flight to go to my desktop and I hit control+alt+delete to do this. Everything is still ok in FS but I have noticed at times that I have anywhere from 1-10 different ASVG loaded in my taskbar. Usually there is supposed to be only 1. I have been seeing sluggish performance when I look and there are about 10 of them running. What do you think is causing this? Multiple ASG running. Hmmm.Anyone?Thanks in advance. I've been using ASV6 since its release with no problems until now. Here's what's going on:I start the sim (I run in windowed mode) and then minimize it. I then launch ASV6 and load my route. When it all initializes and finishes updating, I minimize it and restore the sim. Everything seems to be working fine for the entire flight. When the flight is over, I exit the sim but when I try to close ASV6, it says "Program Not Responding" and I have to click the End Now button to exit.It never did this until about two weeks ago. I've tried re-installing and re-applying the SU3 but no change. Anyone have any ideas?Thanks,....Noell

Hi Jim,This afternoon a fellow flightsimmer reported that something is wrong with ASv6 downloaded weather. He spoke about a problem for LGAV weather. I did not talk to him, but I tried this out myself.My finding was : Either in online or offline mode the ASv6 is unable to apply the downloaded weather to FS showing a message "Main Thread Process Error, Retrying at next interval".I have installed all updates and SPs.Sotiris.

As I often get error messages when starting AS6 via WideFS I uninstalled AS6 on the client PC and consider to reinstall from scratch. However, I would like to ask if you really recommend to run AS6 via WideFS. Is there a difference in FPS or does it make sense in other terms?Thank you very much!Sam

Hi guys, I am curious. Reading through various threads over time I have seen some of you respond howe on some systems/set-ups non-DXT may give better performance compared to DXT textures. I have tried both using 256 sets. It's hard for me to tell, because the weather, or clouds actually have been different due to the metars. Sometimes I think "non" is better, sometimes "dxt" seems better. Not sure what my literal question is, but thought maybe you can give me some insight to why you think your default non-DXT textures could actually perform better under certain circumstances. Hi Am I doing this correctly : If i want weather-influenced textures, I select wx-influenced in ASGraphics..;then tick the auto-submit checkbox in AS-options, and select wx influenced textures in the drop-down box directly beneath it, together with wx-influenced cirrus. ?I then keep ASG open in addition to AS when i run FS9 ?Thanks Peter

I'm an happy user (from only two days) of ASV6, but I have a little and strange problem. When I click on ASG program it opens the default and immediately the program close itself :-(; I click a second time and the program run without problem :) Not a big problem but I don't know why I have to click two times to run ASG! HiI am new to ASV6 (yesterday) and just want to make sure i am setting my registered/paid copy of FSUIPC properly to get the best out of ASV6.I clicked "weather settings off" as advised and could see afterwards some "greyed-in" checked boxes which tells me that FSUIPC and ASV6 are working together nicely.Can I use the following settings in FSUIPC withou getting a conflict: 1. Technical settings: "smooth pressure changes"2. Visability settings: "apply visibility limits"3. Hi, I need some advise please. Up till now ASV6 has been fine, but today when it loaded it updated at KSEA and gave all the conditions however FS9 is shown as beeing diconnected even though it is. I have checked the options and it is set for download and i have cleared all weather in FSUIPC 3(Registered)so i am at a loss as to why it has suddenly gone. I have tried reinstalling asv 6 to no avail:-mad . Sorry if this is a silly question, but......I use Ground Environment textures in FS9. If I use AS6 as my weather engine, and it is snowing...... will the ground be white ?Peter

HelloJimi would love that!Situation: Nice dramatic fixed sunset, nice clouds colour but when descending to the arrival destination even when landed with visibility less than 1 miles the fog has a purple or yellow colour depends on the sky set that has been installed.Is there any way to avoid this unreal situation?Fog is whiteish unless there are no clouds at all above it and in this case only it got some colour from the sun. Sorry if this threat might be already discussed.
