Is it possible, doable? Should be simple afaik... Possibility to minimize completely into tray and just let it run there. More space on the taskbar :)

ok, I am the next one I guess. today upgraded to SU3 and cannoz fly anymore, FS9 crashing almost at once. Tried FS9 w/o AS6 and had no problems to fly from EDDF to EDDM. however, as soon as I started AS6 my FS9 crashed without a warning. will try to go back to AS6 SU2 which ran just fine before....phil

Jim,I was messing around flying with ASV6 and flashed up my old FSFlightmax ( no longer supported) display which brought back some fond memories of using it with an older version of Active Sky wxre I think it was. Are you aware of anyone having any sucess with this new version of AS? No harm in asking :-) Gary

When creating a flight after you have installed and activated ASv6,is it still necessary to activate real world weather in Fs2004 when creating a flight.Mitch

Do we need to delete weather files somewhere or do they even build up as we use the Asv6 program?Do the new weather files just replace the old ones in the same file?Mitch

Hi,"In slew mode the clouds displayed normally. "In slew mode this wont happend, because in slew mode fs2004 does not use impostor clouds. When Fs2004 is running, they use clouds impostor for performance, make sur your 3d clouds percentage is at 100%. Hi team, Apologies for two posts in the same day! I have always liked Dawn Dusk FX textures for FS 2004 By Thomas Grillo. Prior to update 3 I simple used to place the textures By Thomas Grillo (available in Avsim)in my texture folder in FS9 and overwrite the others. However, since update 3 they no longer seem to appear. How can I make it possible so that I can have these textures as my dawn and dusk textures? regardsPaul

I am just learning how to use the Active Radar. I would like to lower the "Date Update Interval" in Options from 20 to 5. Also, what is the "Commit" button for and when should I use it? How is it different from "Reset"?Flyhigh

When I'm setting up a weather scenario using the Wx Configurator,is there a way to estimate or even calculate the dew point for the METAR string if I know the temp and relative humidity? Hello :-wave,currently I am still using ActiveSky 2004.5 and I am thinking of upgrading to version 6 but I am not sure if it's really the correct decision to purchase version 6.My main interest is to get the actual weather data for the area I am flying in and to plan my flights. I can perfectly live without the new changable cloud and sky textures which come with version 6, so my main question is, is it worth to pay the price, which isn't rather cheap for me, only to get the current weather data and simulation?Or to be more precise are there any major changes in the weather simulation between 2004.5 and v6, which would justify purchasing it?Thanks in advance and to Hifisi…

I emailed the address that was given to me, with the post I made on here. While waiting for my response (haven't gotten one) I just decided it would be better to start from scratch once again. However I have a HUGE problem now. I had AS 4.5,V and VE installed on my computer. However when I was uninstalling things I have been unable to uninstall the older versions. No big deal to me if there are still in the registery or not. The problem is, any time I open certian programs, say Atis Maker (for ASRC), or other install programs, I keep getting an install for ASV... Is there a way I can get rid of this? After installing ActiveSky 6, I constantly get assigned the wrong runways by fs9atc -- exactly 180 degrees (or close enough). Is this an fs bug or did I make a mistake installing? I removed ActiveSKy and all is back to normal, reinstalled it, and I am taking off with tail wind again ;)))

I updated to SU3 and just now got to try it out. I still have the issue of FS minimizing once AS is done with setting everything up. It only happens once, and once I restore FS to a normal size window it never happens again I also still have very low frame rates (10-11) in overcast conditions. So, at least for me, SU3 has not solved any of my previous problems. Just letting the AS people know. The fps is obviously the more important issue. Mike

I just bought and downloaded v6, doing a full install (build 470). I also have a ASv6 Upgrade (unwrap ASv6.exe). Do I need to run the "upgrade" as well?One other question. I have ASv4.5 installed in FS9. Can I uninstall v4.5 to free up hd space, or should I leave it as well? Thanks.

Hi All,I'm a new user to ASV6 and am enjoying its use with PMDG's 744. I have a question about the ASG auto-submit options, I usually set the auto-submit to wx-influenced graphics, but am wondering what other people select or would suggest for me to get the best out of my flight experience? There are so many theme possibilities that I'm not sure which to choose, or if one theme over another for a particular flight destination/condition is better to use than the wx-influenced theme.Thanks,Dr. Foo

this is for the FSBuild users in this group.I used to get the upper winds in my FSBuild prior to the latest ASV mod. which I installed. However, it seems like it does not see them anymore, any ideas?I have toggled the pause for FS box

Sorry for the newbie question that I researched before posting. I installed AS6 FULL yesterday on my FS9 PC. The performance hit is dramatic so I am now considering moving it to my networked PC to 1) improve FS9 performance and 2) to be able to interface with the AS control panel during flight.1) Will my FS9 performance improve with AS6 running on WideFS?2) Will AS run on my network PC that uses WIN2K?3) What is the best way of moving AS at this point in my installation process?Thank you,Terry Eshenour
