Gentlemen:I have installed two (2) add-on's for FS9. The well-received "Flight Environment" Program and "Active Sky v 6" with its Graphics addition.Will these two programs conflict with each other? (I am presently ignoring the AS Graphics add-on until I evaluate it better.)Any advice?Captain Dad

i have used asv on several flights tonight fromm three different airports egph lemg and lfpg all the airports had broken clouds but after climbing thru 5000ft i had this effect it doesnt look right see screenshot i have full sky and wx weather selected and also online updates can anyone tell me if this is correct i havent noticed this before.

I have tried several times today to start a flight and use activesky (v6) but each time i get the following error message:"main thread process error.....retrying at next interval"What does that mean? Is there something wrong with my program? I used it a few days ago and it worked just fine. HEEELPP.Anthony

Hi,SO foggy at high altitudes doesn't quite sound right! At a maximum of 59 you should get a distant haze, but not around your plane. Are you limiting visibility through registered FSUIPC also? Might want to reset FSUIPC and click on the weather settings Off button. Could it be that you are flying in a cloud layer? I was one of those accidental converts to AV. I bought AVWXre, which I think is version 5, at a discount in a local shop. I have enjoyed it, although never really understanding its operation. I have just acquired AV6 at full price and have a significant difficulty. It will not connect to the web. I still have the previous version loaded and it connects to the internet, but not AV6. It is not a firewall problem, as it does tell me it is connecting, and then tells me a connection is not available but wait until the next update. Is there an internet setting that may be a problem? Should I uninstall AV5 first, or is there some obvious step that I have missed?There is also on…

I'm sorry guys but I just purchased ASV6 and have read the manual several times and I'm still having a hard time figuring out the instructions- I'm new to flight simming also. Can some please answer a few questions about loading ASV6 . Let's say I just want to fly out of meigs and I have not used a flight plan. I just want to set up weather at random and fly offline. I also want to pick the season to fly in. Can you just give me a simple step by step outline to follow to load in the proper order? Thanks for the help.

hello folks out there im just wondering if there is a solution on using activesky thru a network, so far people are saying that it does not work well, im running nine monitors and four coms, five for views and four for instrumentation.the only solution i can come up with is to load activesky on all four coms and hope that they get the weather as close as possible.im wondering if you will have the same problem if you load the default weather engine from FS9.thanks.............Robert

After downloading and installed SU4 beta, I noticed a serious problem.Active Sky will download data on schedule, but it will freeze at the Decypting Data to DISK screen. When I minimize FS2004 is when it starts processing and writing stations. If FS2004 is maximized and running as the main window, the update will lock up at this stage.Also, when FS2004 is minimized, the writing station data operation goes much faster.I can not leave AS6 unattended anymore as it will be frozen on the same weather data if I don't minimize FS2004 long enough to get through the decryption phase.AMD64 XP3500+2 GIG PC3200 Corsair XMS memory.

Visual in FS2004 shows blue skys with scattered low clouds and a few high cirrus clouds. All stations in the area reporting conditions similar to KBKL with overcast. AV6 is NOT showing disconnected. Weather in FS has "User defined" checked. Actually, the window on the right side of Weather tab in FS is accurately showing the same conditions from the METAR above -- but FS is not painting anything close to these conditions on the screen.Thanks.

Hello there,I have reinstalled Window XP operating system and copied all FS9 and active sky back in the hard drive from my backup drive.Unfortunally now Active sky v6 doesn't work.If I try to install the ASv6 update it says: No installation of Active Sky found in the system.What do I do to re-use your wonderful program? Jim, I just had to mention this to you. A couple of weeks back I posted about some runway direction/wind issues I am having. Well, I just realized yesterday how much stuff I still have not explored in ASV6. I downloaded some real weather, made a flight plan, then went into weather maker (or whatever it is called) and fetched KORD, then slightly tweaked the wind direction in the taf/metar, saved it and flew into KORD from KSFO and all of the correct runways were operating as should be. I know that if I left the wind as the weather originally posted it, it would have shifted some of the operations off a bit to what was really happening at KORD yesterday. COOL!!! Just f…

For example around LDRI I have clouds around me acc mETAR, after message Weather at LDRI updated, suddenly weather changes to clear sky without any clouds (acc METAR clouds on 3000ft OVC and so on..Check METAR for 21.03. 17:00Z LDRI). Hi, I've found in ASv6 a directory called Voice with a large number of wav files about weather but I never hear it in FS2004; why? There is a special method to hear it?

There were Thunderstorms all throughout the Phoenix approach with heavy rain. I was flying during the afternoon when these storms were occuring, and it made me think there was "something wrong with this picture". I am running the Active Sky cloud series, and what I perceived as wrong was that the "bad weather" clouds are always so white! This past week I've used the AS Radar with the abv mentioned a/c (I've never used the AS Radar with any other a/c). My figures may not be exactly correct, but with 3 flights fs9 closed, immediately with no warning, anywhere from 25 minutes to 1 hour after connecting. I did make one complete flight with AS Radar and PMDG744(the first time I used it). Any ideas as to what may be causing this?thnaks,

i have a question about the suppression range. I fly jets on atlantic/domestic flights in europe and usa. My suppression range is set to 120. You say on atlantic flights this should be set to 200 nm (because of the staions are more spread). Will then my arrival airport be used as destination wether. for example passing EHRD to EHAM which is seperated about roughly 60 nm. Will asv use EHAM or EHRD as weather? Hi folks,After installing SU4, I now find that ASG doesn't load automatically - at least its icon doesn't show on the task bar nor does the program show as running when the Task Manager is checked. I'm wondering if in fact ASG is running and if so, should its icon show on the Task Bar next to the AS6 icon which does show. Thanks for helping. JJM

I just entered a flight plan from RCTP to RKSI from fsbuild, saved it as RCTP-RKSI from fsbuild and tried loading it on the flight plan entry menu. my destination was rksi and my departure was rctp, my flight plan was at 33000 ft and 330 knotsI will restart the program and try it again. This is with the latest beta build at the top, version 4. I never saw this before. Thanks
