Hi,I'm a quite new user to Walk & Follow (the program that for example with let you define wing views for a/c that don't already have them) and I noticed one strange thing - when going to any of the views you've defined...for instance a wing view...all clouds will dissapear and then slowly get repainted if you stick to the view for a couple of seconds...hmm...?My first thought was that maybe it's because you're going from internal -> external view but if that was the case wouldn't the effect be the same when going from inside view -> spot view using the 'S' key?Anyone else using Walk & Follow noticed this or have an idea what the reason for this strange beha…

When using FDC 3.x and PMDG's 747-400 I notice that some features of FDC do not function. Flap settings are not being done by FDC's VCP and also setting autobrakes and spoilers are omitted.Are there any other users of the PMDG -400/FDC combination experiencing the same? Thanks,Hans

hello alli use the file "Soft Horizons" b/c i like the effect for realistic vis. How do i prevent AS6 from overriding these textures? I'll use them for a while and then it seems that when I load up a brand new flight with AS6 the soft horizons are gone..is it b/c i have the them wx.influenced check for auto-submit?thx

I thought I'd post a few screenshots from a near dusk flight from Denver Int'l to Natrona Co Int'l (KCPR).

On the ground at KLGA tonight, ceiling OVC 1700 feet, dusk, beautiful sim of OVC while on the ground, 2-3 miles north as passing through the layer, became a scattered thin layer instead of the several thousand foot stratus layer really there. METAR in ASv6 still saying ceiling OVC 1700 feet and just refreshed 5 minutes before. Weather sliders all set at or above recommendations. Anything I am doing wrong? Thanks. Many thanks for the update. Still small problemo though.The most pressing problem for me is the Download. I have just started trying to use Active Sky in FS 2004. I have a dialup internet connection. Whenever I try to do the initial weather load, the system seems to load for about two or three mintes, then I get a message stating there has been a timeout or an error has occured. Any help would be appreciated.

Hithis could be the same for everyone,i'm not sure.i load AV6 when starting FsAutoStart.but unless i minimise Fs2004 to the taskbar,AV6 won't start processing the weather stations,is this normal to have to leave FS2004????.shouldn't it load the weather while i'm inside Fs2004.hope it makes sense to you!!:-) thanks steve

When I try to download recent (2006) archives I am getting the message "Cannot download hourly archive sets prior to April 6th 2005". HiFiDataNet says "Status OK".Can you help please?

Hi all I apologise in advance for posting here as it is a AS6 and mainly an FSB problem. I am sure someone has got FSB and AS6 working to get on route weather for there flightplans!What I am doing is building my plan in FSB exporting to fs9 file format going into AS6 doing new route then importing the plan fsb created, then when i go back into FSB rebuild and it should drag the winds in from AS6.This is driving me insane!! Ok I have now put AS6 on my main FS PC which also runs FSB.Still it is doing the same thing, ie it puts the top line into FSB which I will show below but no wind corrections etc, maybe this is normal but it does not look right to me!The only other diff…

Hi Jim and Damian,while I've not yet installed the new ASV6 (really didn't have time to spare!), I keep getting the "the download request is for an archive older than Apr 6,2006" even with the ASV Enhanced and I'm asking the Jan 02, 22Z weather...How can I get the hourly archives instead of the four-hours ones that it keeps downloading ?Thanks a lot.EDIT: sorry, didn't notice the 2 other threads on this subject !!!Hope the fix is coming soon !Thanks again.

I am using the latest build, with SU1. ASV 6 Worked great yesteday. Now I too am getting the Main Thread Process Error. Relating to downloading the weather for 2006? That is the only thing that is changed.I note that if I open up an archive for 2005, all seems to work just fine.I also get the error others are mentioning when downloading 2006 weather.This is the English version. PS presently the downloads seem way to fast for 2006.Greg

I have ASV 6 and after a fresh instll of FS2004 (Yuck) I have tweaked it to what I feel like is best for my system. I can be sitting at KSEA with PMDG 737 running and see FPS in the 30s with all weather off and ASV6 not installed. I can fly around with FPS never going below mid 20s. As soon as I install ASV5 then upgrade to ASV6 and run even with 64x64 clouds installed the sim is unflyable. I see FPS in the 5s and 6s as soon as I clear all weather it smokes back into the mid 20s and upper 30s. Geezz what is the deal with this thing. I used ASV5 and 6 before a fresh install and was able to fly at least in the 20s anybody have the same prob.?

Hello.Where can I go to get the correct download for ASV6? I have ASVE v5 and want to get the correct file. I guess there is an SU1 update as well. It says if you downloaded ASV6 before 12/28 it is needed. Is there a download that has this updated included? The only one I can find is dated 12/22.Thanks!

Since I do 99% of my flying on VATSIM, could someone please tell me the best settings for automatic weather updating during my flight. I normally don't load the Flight Plan in ActiveSky Version 5 and 6. I just make sure I'm using Online and VATSIM weather. With the new ActiveSky Graphics interface I'm sort of lost. What should I be setting in both ASV6 and AG6 to get the true weather information for my flight. ThanksDan M

My radar died! It was working a few days ago but for the last two (all year!!!) the radar has been dark.Am I the only one with this problem? (and how do I fix it or operator error? isn't it automatic?) Or is it related to the data source?TIA

I keep getting this error during various phases of flight:"Error during submit....there is a problem with this selection set.....Invalid parameter used"I then click OK, and the next error window comes up:"There was an error acessing your FS9 path.....submit failed...could not find part of the path "f:/program files/microsoft games/flight simulator 9/modules/AS Graphics/textures/environment/haze//6"I am using auto-submit, wx influenced.
