Does AS disable the built in FS ATIS? I have the AS ATIS checked for 122.80 which works fine but the regular ATIS from FS does not work as before. Just checking if this is correct?ThanksBill

A great add on. Been on the fence for along time and finally took the plunge. Everything installed and performed as advertised. Excellent user guide. Even if I don't understand or may not remember every item, its all clearly written.Now that I have sucked up , one question LOLI notice when using the autopilot to hold altitude, the aircraft oscillates up and down a lot more than normal. I guess its sensing changes in barometric pressure, even though the pressure remained constant during my test flight. Of course I check with the B key at all times...but the AP seems to move quite a bit. Not terribly annoying but thought I would mention it...Ok again, thanks a ton...great x…

To all at HiFiI am another long standing and devoted AS fan offering thanks for your Christmas present but also reporting an error. Like many, it seems, I run AS from a laptop via wideFS and have a problem with the new ASv6 graphics. I have .NET Framework installed together with all the updates but, when I try and run ASG, I get an error message telling me it can't run because my "Process performance counter is disabled". I have no idea how to fix this. Any suggestions? As a temporary workaround I have installed ASv6 on the main flying pc, it runs from here with no problems and, to the best of my knowledge, the two pcs' setups are near identical. I have been patiently witing for the rain to start at KEWR all day :) It started raining about 1/2 hour ago in real life, weather.com is showing rain in KEWR but ASV still shows no precip. ASv6 crew, this software is fantastic! I am having one minor problem that I'm hoping you can suggest a solution for.At my hometown airport, KRSV, I get no weather. I start ASV and then FS9. If I start at KRSV, ASV detects the closest wx station as being at KLWV. It doesn't detect the station at KRSV, but that's no big deal and I would not be surprised to find that there is an issue with the real wx station at KRSV causing this. Anyway, it detects KLWV as the active wx station and downloads that weather, but does not apply it to KRSV or anywhere within a few miles of it. Afternoon all. Just back from Christmas lunch. Ate too much, and as for all the beers, well, good luck to the passengers!We'll call it....turbulence!Anyway, getting to know my AS6, and have a problem I haven't seen raised yet. I love to be original! : )During Writing Station Data, it'll start okay, then all of a sudden the four-letter codes change to $000 and go through and stop at $501. Then the process stops alotgether. And the dollar sign isn't a typo!And from my AS experiences I doubt if the full writing process is actually happening.Love some help with this one!ThanksTimNZWN

...as in 'what is the point'? What does this do? I get that it 'copies texture sets' to FS9 BEFORE you launch FS9, but how does that help? If I load a 'cirrus set' for instance, and get to FS9 and the weather is broken cumulus - what benefit did the 'Cirrus set' do me? Where are the displayed (non cirrus) textures coming from? FS9 default? Holland? I see there is an option for generating texture loads via ASv6 weather - makes sense. Except you must do this BEFORE you load FS9 - I guess you must have in mind a route or something before you load the sim, enter it into the weather (the airport id), fetch the weather, then manually load it into fs9?? HIafter updating to ASV6 i noticed in the Modules folder there is still a ASV folder with files in it..do i still need it or can i delete. thanks steve

When flying with Active Sky every so often the frame rate drops from the 30 40 to around 9 to 10 for about 15 seconds. Significant stutters then too.I assume this is an update.I have update suppression on, altitude of 20,000 feet and also disable all and local updates on the ground.I also am not enabling online updates.But I keep getting this slowdown while descending and on the ground.Is there more than one kind of update going on?Does anyone else experience this intermittent dramatic slowdown?If this is an update why is it occuring at times it should not?Thanks,Greg

Hello, can anyone tell me the best FSUIPC settings for icing? No matter what I try I cannot seem to get airframe icing. I'll take off in a Cessna 172 in a blizzard and get nothing more than pitot icing. I have tried various FSUIPC cloud settings (random icing in clouds, Maximum Icing 2,3,4, allow global changes to FS9 weather). Prevent icing is unchecked in the options window. I'll keep the 172 in autopilot in a cloud bank during a blizzard and not notice any significant problems even after about 10 minutes. Would icing take longer than this or are there certain settings I need to use? I am using FS2004 with AS2004 4.5. I am curious if the newer versions model ic…

Hey Damian and crew,I've installed AS6+G fine and it seems to be working great, however, I've noticed that the METAR strings from the AS server for all airports are pulling data from the 22nd[two days ago]. I'm running FS Realtime, my UTC is always current. First of all - thank you for the UPDATE.Will it be possible for future releases that the weather will change a little less dramatically - i.e. you see some clouds in the air and then there is an update of the weather and BOOM~!! gone are the clouds ...? Maybe a switch in the SETTINGS to choose a gradually 'fade out' of the current weather before the new weather is loaded. (Current setting is for every 10 min an update)I just did a flight into EDDH and in the FETCH a report it says: Clouds 2800 FEW, 5800 BROKEN but in FS the skies were clear with no clouds in sight. I currently use both Active Sky 2004.5 and FS Sky World. How should I proceed to upgrade to Active Sky V6? Change back to standard FS2004 cloud textures with FS Sky World, uninstall AS 2004.5, delete the AS2004.5 folders that remain, and then just install AS6? I assume that I could continue to use FS Sky World to take advantage of some of it's features, such as enhanced landing lights, snow, moon, sun and runway light textures, 'lens flare' options, FS2004 Splash Screen switcher, etc?Thanks!
