Hi All,NET users having problems with ASG errors need to:(1)Uninstall .Net(2)Reboot the computer(3)Re-install .NET Framework (1.1 or later)=====================================================================Microsoft .Net v1.1 or later (i.e. 2.0) is required for ActiveSky Graphics. Without it, it will not run and will provide an error message. You can get either version easily from http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com or see these direct links:.Net 1.1:http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com.Net 2.0:http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details...&DisplayLang=enThanksChris WillisHiFi Simulation Software Team Developerhttp://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_dev_team.jpg http://www.hi…

I downloaded and installed ASv6 on my remote widefs computer and despite allowing sharing and allow modifying files for my main PC FS9 folder, and usernameapplication data folder, every time I restart asv6 I get asked to browse to my application data folder, it then says wx stations updated restart FS9. I restart FS9. Later when I restart FS9 and then asv6 on remote with registered widefs, I get the same request again to browse to the application data folder! Also when I try to send new graphics it says the FS9 path not found, access denied despite FS9 folder being shared and no problem launching the main interface page. When I look at the asv6 config file the proper p…

Hi, I couldn't find a straight answer to this question in the manuals so thought I'd ask on here. When I choose the settings I want in Activesky Graphics, they load in FS initially. However, the next time I load up ASv6 and FS I find that the settings have no longer been depicted in FS. Is it normal that I must load these settings everytime I load up FS? If not is there any reason why they're not loading up each launch of FS?Cheers,James

Hi All,First off, great product & fantastic support. Now, I am a bit confused on a couple of things so I hope you can help me out.1) I have ASV-Enhanced installed on my pc into FS9 & now I have installed the new Asv6 & graphics also. What i would like to know is do i need to UN-insatall ASV-Enhanced completely?2) I always fly with Active sky dowmloading the weather every ten minutes on-line, but it is here that I am confused. In the graphics section what clouds do I need to select? At the moment it says Random All, will this show the correct clouds to match the weather that it is downloading from the servers? It just seems there are too many options now. All I w…

First time user but it looks like a great program for real weather once you master all the options.Questions - I have both ASV6 and fs9 set to use system time but when I start the simulator the (aircraft) time clock is 2 hours fast. What is causing this time difference? If I move from the East coast to the West, same problem, 2 hours fast.I've read the documentation but I'm not certain I understand how/why to use ActiveSky Graphics.TIAJim

Hi all,This topic pertains to WideFS users only.If you have been experiencing any problem with ActiveRadarConnector properly detecting files/folders and throwing error messages without successful completion, please download this test interim ARConnector which should solve the problem: http://sales.hifisim.com/pub-download/Acti...arConnector.zip.If you are having problems with "FS9 Path not found" or "Application Data Path not found" please check the following:1) Your are properly sharing your APPLICATION DATA folder on the FS machine (not the FS Plans folder). If you can't see this folder, check your Windows Explorer, View, Folder Options settings which may be hiding sy…

Hi,I am upgrading ASV to ASv6 and I'd like to ask for a confirmation. After running the wrapper I got the full install folder with the setup.exe file. Since I have ActiveSky 2004.5 plus ASV and its patches on my hard disk, is it ok if I:1.Uninstall AS 2004.5, ASV and everything concerning ActiveSky, including folders left out by uninstallation process, so that my hard disk is ABSOLUTELY CLEARED of ANYTHING dealing with ActiveSky.2.Install ASv6 through the full install setup.exePlease, AS team, could you confirm these operations are correct?Thank you and best regards,James

Hi all- fantastic ASV6! Thanks for all your hard work and dedication to this fine program. Now on to my question, and I did read through the ASV manual and looked a bit through these forums, but couldn't find what I was looking for.I just need clarification as to how the WX Influenced setting "works". Since FS/ASV cannot update cloud textures once FS is running (must change textures THEN open FS to see them), what steps do I take to properly "enable" the WX influenced settings? My guess is - (but this is why I'm asking because I may be wrong!)1. Open ASV6, load a flight plan. (press "New Route" button)2. If I haven't already, open ASV graphics program and send "WX Influence…

IS AS6 compatable with World Environment Pro. I ask as someone has asked me if I would like the CD version of World Environment Pro for a late Christmas present and I don`t want to say yes or no until I know if they will work together.Keith.

I'm using the "Blue" theme with some customization. I noticed on Jim's suggested settings the "influnced by WX" were both to be checked. I've seen them previously, but now I can't find the suckers. '-)

Hey Merry Christmast to everyone here!!!I love the new turbulence in ASV6. The shaking to the sides and vertical turbulence are extremely good.I have found a problem with it though. I have lot of turbulence at very low altitude, while taking off and landing. I have my supression set at 7k feet. When taking off, I start getting some wind shear while rolling for take off and the speed needle goes up and down, and I start shaking as soon as the wheels leave the ground. Same with landing, normally the turbulence goes away below 500 agl, but I can have very nasty one above that and below 1k ft. Should I expect that? Fortunately I never got any of that turbulence in RW (and I h…

After changing the turbulance option to 70% it appears that I never experience any turbulance. I think the turbulance was more prevalent at the default setting, when the option box was blank.Am I missing a setting somewhere? Thanks a lot,

Hi,Just got ASv6. I used to use the original freeware AS long time ago, it sure has evolved over the years. This new one works nice, the weather graphics is cool, and it works flawlessly with FSBuild so I'm happy.Just couple questions on FS9 setup: Do I just set the FSIUPC 'clear weather' just once? Do I change the FS weather setting to 'user defined weather' or does AS take care of it? Setting visibility to 60nm seems to make the night-time stars appear below the horizon so I had to keep this setting at 110nm.Also, since I don't use active radar, I moved the .dll file to another location to prevent it from being loaded to free up some resources.Presently flying from…
