Hello, I was able to purchase Active Sky, got the confirmation from PayPal, but no download link appeared or is appearing when I log into "My Account". Is there a way to confirm it went through and the server is just too stressed to handle the number of requests. Does the link appear just when you get fortunate? I realize one "has to wait in line" but sure would appreciate some advise what to expect to ensure I am actually waiting in line. Dear support guys:ASky6 is running fine, and I'm getting weather. WideFS networking is also running OK. The first time (as I pointed out in my last post) that I tried to load AS6 Graphics I had a CTD. I appear to be past that now, but I'm not able to load the Graphics software from the AS6 menu to configure clouds.AI. In this case meaning "Any Ideas?"

Hi everyone,With the release of ActiveSky Version 6 and the associated interest this has generated, our servers are getting hit very hard right now and this will only get worse as the actual release occurs and everyone starts downloading a 45MB file at once. We have multiple servers in place (both website and wx), but as always during new releases sometimes the system just can't quite keep up. Q#1. When installing ver. 6 last evening, I was completing the install and following the readme for "Installation Standard." At step 6 where I was to "Start ActiveSky Graphics..." I had a CTD and it took me some time to get the PC to boot again. Don't ask me what happened, but eventually after going through SAFE mode a couple of times, the system came back online. Hey, first of all thanks for another great release, and it was a very nice surprise to get it for free as an ASV owner.My question, that for sure must have been answered before (if someone point the post, I'll be grateful too), is how do I use different textures than the ones offered in ASV6 (or ASV).I use a set of F1 Flight Environment and FS Atmosphere, that I chose as my favourite textures, but I understand that every time I enter a FP in ASV, it installs a new set of textures (Intelligent cloud selection), which means, that before I open FS, I have to reinstall the Flight environment and FS Atmosphere.Considering I fly every day, this process is starting to feel tedio…

ASV6 runs fine, but if I try to run ASG I get an Application Error Pop Up screen with: "The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000135). I cannot for the life of me get ASv6 to find the FS9 folder in a WideFS setup. I have tried to use the mapped drive to it and I have browsed to it and both times it comes back with "FS9 path not currently available - unable to check wx station list. ..."Steve

Does this effect any wind "effects" like wake effects or vertical air or for instance, when flying near mountains, the sharp gusts? Any reason why one would turn this off? Why on - will the winds then use really sharp unrealistical changes?Thanks!

I purchased Active Sky 2004.5 in February 2005, for 29.95 euros. Is there a discount for version 6 ? It looks like the upgrade is only available for ASV users. I don't think is right that I have to pay full price for an upgrade only 10 months after the original purchase. I took off from KSBA and it's very hazy. I noticed that it seemed like I had turbulence on the ground, as in little wind gusts. I assume this is very realistic, but of course I don't fly in real life. Anyhow, should I have been getting shifted around on the ground so much or no? Never had this with any previous version (ASV, ASVE). Otherwise, it's great though. I hope I'm doing the ASG right for random textures! :-lol Climb out in the soup. Great haze all the way out! I have unistalled AS2004.5 and ASVe according to your instructions and "repaired" ASV6, etc. 1)One pointer to the forum uninstall all of the upgrades in order Latest first and so on, BEFORE you uninstall the main AS2004/ASVe program otherwise it doesn't work. 2) In the FS9/Modules folder I still have 2 folders a) ActiveSky 2004 (docs and voice sub folders) and :( ASV (Active environment, templates and voice sub folders) -(as well as ASV6).
