Hi all,Having resolved my earlier problem of DX texture enablement I'm not getting the attached error message running AS6 across WideFS. I've had a look in the FAQ but can't see this particular problem mentioned.http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/137056.jpgI have downloaded the patch but haven't installed it yet. Any clues as to why this is happening? My FS9 folder is shared with read/write access and so is my ActiveSky6 folder with the same permissions.The error happened twice. First time whilst taxiing to the runway on departure and the second about 15 minutes after departure. No further instances after that.Any help appreciated.

Just tried FS9 after installing rhe new ASv6 and got a fatal error with weather.dll (never had this problem before). Tried restarting FS9 (alone without anything else running) after re-booting PC and this time without ASv6 running, but still getting the same error so I'm guessing it must be a co-incidence but it's a puzzle.Anyone any ideas please?Thanks.

Hello.Are there known issues with ASVE v5 and the autothrottle functioning properly? Know that I have ASVE installed it seems it is playing havoc with the autothrottle. At lower altitudes it does not want to hold speed. It will just keep increasing until the thing explodes probably (haven't let things go quite that far).I didn't know if this was a known problem or not. Nothing else new put in but I'm not sure why weather features would affect the AT.Thanks!

Howdy, Each time I go to launch the AS Graphis (ASG.exe) I get the following error message:"The applicaiton failed to initialize properly (0xc0000135). Click on OK to terminate the application."When I click on the button from within ASv6Wx, nothing happens.I have already uninstalled and reinstalled with no success. Trying to get this to run on Windows XP Professional x64 SP1.If you need any further info, let me know.ThanksMK

Is it of importance in what sequence you start FS firts or ASV 6 first .

Hello.Another question for ya...After downloading weather into ASVE, loading the flightplan, and all that jazz and then launching FS04, how do I know when all of the loading into FS04 is complete? I figured it was when the area for the weather says "User Defined Weather". But I have sat, without doing anything except launch FS04, and waited for a couple of minutes but it never changes. However, if I change an aircraft, load a flighplan, or do pretty much anything, as soon as I'm back to the main screen it will say "User Defined Weather". Is this normal? Will that not change until I click on something?Thanks!

Since upgrading to AS6, it doesn't seem to update the AI anymore. I have the 'Refresh AI at first weather set' enabled, but a few times I have had to take off with a fairly hefty tail wind. Also, I used to get a loading box come up within flight sim when the traffic was refreshed. I don't get this anymore.Also, how do I stop AS6 changing the halo size of the lights? I find the taxi lights are a bit too difficult to see now in the dark, and AI aircraft at night far more harder. AS5 had an option to disable the lights being modified, but it doesn't seem to be present in the AS6 options.Thanks for any help. Other than these two small problems, fantastic product Damian. HiI cannot seem to check the box to enable DXT clouds within AS6 & ASG.I have checked Render To Texture to on in FS9 & I have checked for mutiple entries in the fs9 cfg file. With RTT on in fs9 it only shows one entry in the fs9cfg file but it says Rendertotexture=0 even though it is on in fs9 display settings.I was able to enable DXt in ASV-enhanced no problem but I Just can't seem to enable DXT clouds in AS6/ASG?your help would be appreciated.Thanks.Mike

Hi,Main problem in my new Active Sky purchase is the Radar Screen.CTRL F12 brings up screen no problem, right button switches it on, all works fine till I click down arrow to reduce to GPS size. It does this OK but main radar screen stays on!Alt Ent to minimise and them maximise leaves me with a black screen except menu bar. Nothing will work in view changes, and only a EXIT from FS is allowed to happen. (Cant see it, but still works)Have a Nvidia 5800 that is performing superbly, and Active Sky rader screen is first display problem I have had since intallation of 5800.As far as I, a newbie to AS6 can see, everything else is fine. Any ideas/fixes as to this issue?

Everything works a 100 % it is beautiful the only hassle I have is that my clouds will appear and dissapear out of the blue I know there is a lot of info on this and I have played around but I cannot seem to solve this problem

Hello.I'm hoping someone can answer a quick question for me.I thought I read something awhile back about changing the time of day in FS9 and having that be an issue for ASVE.Is it possible to get everything setup (download weather, generate flightplan, etc.) and then change the time of day in FS9 when you are ready to fly or is this a no-no?Thanks!

Hello folksI'm having this problem with ASV6.Every time i try to start the program,i get an error from the ChillkatZip2.DLL and the program closes.I searched the forum and saw that it had something to do with the spyware cleaner deleting this file or so and that you have to run the Installer again,with the repain function.Now that doesn't work either :s When i click repair and next,the installer freezes.Any suggestions how to solve this problem?GreetzSteven

When I launch the Wx engine, it loads up and then says "Main thread processing error" or something like that...Then if I click on ASG Graphics, it says it is not a valid Win32 application.I have net 2.0 installed and tried uninstalling, rebooting, installing, the framework rebooting but that didn't work. I am logged on as administrator. If I completely uninstall AS and then reinstall it, it will work, but when I restart the computer, and launch it, I get the same result. Hi ! ive come onto a problem atleast i think so if iam not doing sumthin wrong. Well the thing is i was gona do a flight today my first with AS6 loaded flightplan put on constant route pressure. Time was like 1050 zulu when i left the gate. Looked on the update and it sayd in zulu hours 0725 for EDDF Even tho the last update was supposed to be 0650. OK i thought maybe it would update once airborne. So i took off. Maybe 2 hours in flight i looked again and it still was at 0650 zulu update time. OK Let me explain this. Over the last 3 days I have had plentyof time to do some flying on VATSIM using the Level-D 767 andthe 737 and 747 PMDG.I setup various preferences to be "weather generated" in ActiveGraphics and submitted to FS before starting the program.What happens is that say I'm at FL340 in Cruise mode in SPD-LNAV-VNAV doing Mach .85 when suddenly these aircrafts willrapidly lose speed/overspeed. I realised that this problem hadbeen only ocurring after upgrading to AS6. As soon as I closedAS6 this problem disappeared.Would appreciate any comments. It's very much appreciated.I followed the instructions and removed ASV durng the AS6 install but the one thing I didn't do was to uninstall the AS Enhanced update before the main ASV uninstall. Hello.While flying in offline mode something happened that I don't think was supposed to.I am using a machine with a dialup connection and after I had already downloaded weather and disconnted and set everything up, I went to load my current flightplan into the Active Radar and my machine wanted to dial out again.What was it trying to get and how can I stop this in the future?Thanks!
