For some reason the ground textures appear too dark when there is no haze. I'm not getting any haze, and I have the FS2004 default haze turned off. What settings do I need to tweak?

Yesterday I was flying from TNCM. The reported temperature was 20 and the reported dew point was 24. After a short while the visibility started going down to zero, and the ground looked a bit strange (like a cloud was trying to be drawn.. it was an off shade of blue).Does ASV handle cases where the dewpoint is reported to be greater than the actual temperature? I should have saved the weather that was in effect if that would help.Thanks!

I bought and used Active Sky for about three weeks with no problems, and then all of a sudden my FS won't boot up. It either shows the splashscreen and then closes and goes back to windows, or it loads the choose flight screen, and then when I click ok it goes back to desktop...I know I haven't installed any addons between Active Sky and the CRD problem, and after deleting and installing FS again, it worked fine without Active Sky, and then when I reinstalled Active Sky it happened again...Now I am running FS without AS6, but I'd like to have it fixed as itis a great program...

Hello,Is is not possible to "stabilize" or avoid these low level clouds ? They rotate when we approach.I know it is not due to ASv6 but due to FS9.Possible to include this in a new version of ASv7?Thanks in advance.

I own FE and thinking about purchase ASv6.I know this is a old topic but I cannot find the answer through search. Your help is appreciated. Here are my questions:(1) I know both add-on's have cloud textures (may be I should say "sky textures"), I can only use one set at a time. What are the procedures to use either one?(2) I heard both developers agreed to talk to each other so one add-on can compatible with the other, does this realized in some fashion likes push a bottom in the set-up menu then the switch is made?Thanks again if somebody can answer these questions.~ Charles

Hi,Lately FS has been freezing and just hangs, which forces me to reboot my system. Using trial and error I've found that if I clear all weather and have absolutely no weather FS does not hang. To help combat this I bought Activesky 6 as I thought it would improve performance over the default, but I am still having problems with my system just freezing after 10 mins or so of flying with weather. As I say it has only been happening for the last month or so and I can't think of anything I have installed that would have caused this. Can anyone help me? Any suggestions?ThanksSteve

Hello,I've a problem with ActiveSky 5 and 6:I've a Computer with Windows xp (professionel) installed FS2004 and ActiveSky 6. Two person use the computer with 2 seperate accounts, both admins.ActiveSky runs only with user A, never with user B. I try to install ActiveSky logged in as user A and next time I installed it as user B. Everytime it only runs under user A, never user B. The message appears is AVS.exe unable to initial. (Hope to translate correctly)It's the same problem with ActiveSky 5 or 6.What can I do?

I recently installed ActiveSky 6 and it worked fine for about a week, showing green weather patterns in rainy areas. For the last several days, I have been in thunderstorm areas and there is plenty of lightning, but no rain... The first time this happened I thought maybe it was just one of those weather related things where there is just lightning, but today I was in the Nashville area and when I started getting T-Storm weather forecasts on 122.00, I checked with www.weather.com and there was plenty of moisture related thunderstorm activity around Nasville, yet even with the Radar Situation zoomed out to 200 miles, there was no sign of moisture.So what gives with Active …

Hi,First I want to say that av6 is a wonderful program and I love the effects it creates. I purchased it yesterday and installed it. Every time I use it about halfway through the flight (sometimes on approach) AS6 and FS9 freezes. So I try to end the programs and both say "no response". Hi all. I got ASv6 a while ago, and it served me faithfuly for many months. but then one day, it crashed while i was modifying settings, with fs disconnected. Now, the WX engine window refuses to show up. no matter what i do. the ASv6 graphics window shows up fine. Any ideas on what to do?thx

Hi, I have experienced rapid visiblity reductions when flying into certain airports. After reading a bit in this forum, it seems that they are caused by military observations and a "max 7 mile visibilty" rule they have. Is there any way currently, or perhaps a plan for the future, to be able to disable the military weather reports from being loaded...or maybe at least ignore the visibility information they provide? It is very annoying to be on a visual final and then all of the sudden be in a thick soup and not be able to see the airport.Thanks,Keith
