I did not succeed regarding the discussion to buy a new computer (although he is an airline pilot and earns enough money - my opinion), so I have to install things like AS to another computer.My father was already using FSUIPC, I updated it to be 3.7.0.9 and installed widefs 6.7 according to the corresponding thread (WideFS / ASv6 - HOW TO) in this forum. hey guys pls help me after i installed activesky, i did one flight to test it out, very satisfied and impressed by the new weather. today when i wanted to fly again i started up active sky, i cheked the online updates option in the options menu(had it off the first time), started fs9 and then all of a sudden my screen turned all crazy, from balck and white to all diff colors and all crazy looking, and it just froze and i had to restart the system. restarted it then i opened up fs9 once again without starting activesky first this time and the error occured once again. finally started again did a system restore, started fs9 and it worked perfectly fine, (without activesky …

OK I love ActiveSky but the graphics automatically reset themselves to these "themes" whenever I start up ASky.Sky Themes - "Last Custom Submit"3D Clouds - Cloud9Cirrus Clouds - CirriusSky Color - Arctic HueEnvironment - Brisk WinterI would like them all to be "Weather Influenced" but after setting these to that every flight they reset to those others next time I start it up.I have in the ASky graphics options Enable ASG Auto-Submit checked and under that both sky themes set to weather influenced.Any ideas on how to keep my graphics from resetting to those I suppose "Default" ones? Hi,I run FS9 on a intel core2duo 6700 / 7900gtx machine.All the configuration sliders are on the right and i have a very bice fps.I use ASV6 without any problem except....The trouble comes when i use active radar ( ctrl F12 )When I use it for the weather radar and when there are thunderstorms my FS9 get really slowed down and fps are bumpy. Even if i close active radar or ASV6 it is impossible to come back to a normal state except by closing FS9 and restarting it. any idea ?

i realize there are several threads dealing with these issues but i would appreciate clarification of 1 point. i am getting ready to reinstall a copy of asv6-upgrade followed by installation of asv65 update. do i also need to install all 5 of the service updates for as6, or are the later updates inclusive of earlier updates?thanks.steve chavin

HiI'm setting up a WidsFS PC and I'm having some problems with launching GE Pro on the WideFS PC I have tested AS6 over the network (WideFS) (no flightplan) and it writes the weather on the FS PC with no problems. When I launch a flightplan and AS6 is starting up GE pro I get a Graound environment error as; "no path found" and after accepting the error message twice I get "processing complete, you can now start the flightsim on the server"in the AS6 option menu ; I've enabled GE Pro Submit on new FP, force sky GE Pro, use fetched station for GE Pro AS6 using build 533, and GE Pro v 2.13Any ideas on where the problem is?AS6.INI//ASv6.5 configuration file Build 533[General…

JimI have been using ASV6 and WideFS with FS9 for some time and have loved every minute of it. Not really any problems in a networked setup what so ever. I have had FSX installed for several weeks now and even with all the tweaks I can't stand the performance on FSX so I have pretty much been using FS9 since I do 90% of my time doing online Vatsim flights. Both FS9 and FSX are installed on the same PC and ASV6.5 is on another networked PC.The issue I have is that I recently pulled up ACtive Radar in FS9 while enroute as there were some storms up ahead. Hi all.I have browsed through the manual available online and I have some questions before buying, just to make sure I have understood correct. I use FS9.1.I understand that I can use ACTIVESKY, like the default real-time weather generator without having to go through all the route processing. Is this correct?2.I read a while ago on a forum that the METAR within ACTIVESKY always differs from the real-world ones (ex NOAA and Jeppesen). Is there a way to have real weather data? I'm a newbie here and want to say at once how much I love Active Sky, which has transformed the way I fly. Thanks, guys! I do, however, have one problem. No matter what I do, I cannot get the Options page to accept a checkmark against TAF Processing. It isn't greyed out, but it won't accept any input. Every other option works just fine except that one.I've un/re-installed without success.Everything else works fine. Jim, I confused with the graphics area in Active sky. This is what Im looking for, I want Active sky to "randomly" choose textures but be weather influenced. Is this possible? Hi,I have been using Active Sky since ASV. Initially it was installed in FS9. I have made a number of upgrades to ASV and more recently ASV6 upto VersionASV6.5. The upgrade to ASV6 was initially on top of ASV rather than uninstalling first. I have now aquired FSX (and FSUIPC 4) but have been forced to remove FS9 from my computer (against my better judgement but FSX would not load fast enough or run without continual stuttering having been installed on my second hard drive so I had to make space on my C drive). I copied the folders ASV, ASv6, Active radar and ASGraphics into a separate folder (Active Sky) on my C drive before deleting FS9. I did not formally uninstall AS. …

Are there still two dimensional clouds in FSX with AS6.5? When flying and looking out the side windows, I occusionally see clouds that are flat vertical lines. Other clouds are three dimensional, but the flat white vertical line is visible. Regards,SD

I have followed the instructions in the userguide and successfully completed the ActiveRadar connector wizard with no errors. I've had this problem off and on with a variety of aircraft, but I've never been able to pinpoint the problem. However, I thought I'd try in here to see if it might be weather related. I always use AS6 for real weather whenever I fly.Here's the problem in a nutshell: I'm on final approach, and as soon as I get to about a 1/4 mile from the threshold, wham! My plane (always commercial jets, payware, freeware, you name it) seems to get hit by some sort of invisible force (wind?) and pitches nose forward. Hello, I am using ActiveSky 5 with FS2004. The problem that I have is that the PC I use is not, and will not be, connected to the internet. I use my old PC for the internet and then use a LAN to transfer useful downloads to my gaming PC. Therefore I am unable to download Metar data directly using AS5.How can I download Metar data from my internet PC and install it into AS5 on my gaming PC ?Thanks

Hi guys - Don't know if this is a 'me too' on the thread re personal application data folder but:I uninstalled ASV6. Uninstalled FS9. Installed ASV6 to C:Active Sky 6. Updated to 6.5. Installed FSX to C:Microsoft Flight Simulator X.Run asV6.5 & browse to FSX folder.Run FSX & AS6.5 - get application data folder error re FS9 - etc.Have second system with both fs9 & fsx installed for testing - all ok there.Any hints?Vic

Tried applying the update again over what was left in the FSXModulesAS6 folder but alas looks like all is lost.
