Hi,I've recently had some troubles with ASv6 (will not connect to FS) so I decided to reinstall. Upon loading up the uninstaller I get the following error message (see attachment). I then get another error message and the program quits.Any help is greatly appreciated!http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/157836.gifEDIT: A few things I forgot to mention. Every time I go to open the main program I have to browse to my Application Data location. I also receive a weather station error message.

Gentlemen: I'm sure you have built a fine program in Active Sky v 6. I'll be darned though if I can get it to work as expected: especially in the Wx Configuration mode. Judging by the number of FAQ's in the read-me file left me quite surprised. Following the instructions as explained for the WX Configuration results in no changes. Snow? T'storms? Hurricanes? Not here! I have read and re-read the manual again and again. Change weather while en route? Nope, none of that either. Hmmmm. Makes me wonder what the "advantage" is of a program like this when Flight Sims own pre-conceived weather is just a button push away. Next Question: Can I switch back and forth between your gr…

When starting my AS6 today I was unable to connect to hifinet since. I checked all aspects and as I can connect to the web using all other software AND AS6 is communicating with FS9 via WideFS I am a tad confused or is the server down ?Carsten

I just got FSX Delux from Best Buy how would I install AS6 to work with it?Thanks,Chris

I'm behind a corporate firewall. I set the ASv6 options to use the correct firewall (and port) but I get "The weather for the specified date range was not found (or the was an error..." <- that's all I see Any ideas?Edit: Build 523

I have just installed your new Active Sky Update 5 for use with my GE Pro and when I run this program I get an error message that reads:'Error Reading ASG.INI. External component has thrown an exception'. I uninstalled Active Sky 6 re installed without the update that integrates it with GE PRO, worked fine re insatalled update same problem, mininizes FS2004 with this error each time.....Any help most appreciated

I know it is possible, but havent been able to find anything that tells me how to use them together, in other words, how to override squawkbox weather and use AS6 instead.. TIA!!

Good Sunday morning Jim, Damien, et al,Having begun my first FSX Addon Download this morning (FSGenesis North America Mesh), this AS question came to mind.I currently run ASv6-SU5-GEPro2 on my WideFS/Remote PC and plan to update that installation with v6.5 upon its release, Oct 17th,right? LOL... Like many others, I plan to install FSX alongside my current FS9 installation, at least for the short-term anyway.My question is, will ASv6.5 detect and handle both FS9 and FSX concurrant installations, locally and over WideFS? Jim what is the best way to start with asv now that i have installed GE when i press Ge on the asv opening screen i get commands do you want to use asv etc then it ask me do u want to start fs9 now.Previous to this i have been using your recomend settings .....regards robin

What is the "official" Hifi Sim position as to whether we should allow the archive weather file to grow continually, or should we occasiionally delete old files? Or is there even an official position at all? Thanks for a great program that really enhances the FS experience.

Hi !When flying my FS together with active Sky 2004, I've some problems with enroute winds. The first 30minutes it works fine but after a while the winds don't change anymore. When I look to the active sky window and look to the winds at the different flight levels it's something whole different then I get in my FS :S Some help ?Regards, Jochem

I hope someone can help me with this one.I'm running ASV6 on a networked pc and i've been getting these active radar.dll errors about once every 5 flights that causes fs9 to crash.This problem started not long after i moved ASV6 to the network pc.I'm also running ASV6 along with Ground Environment Pro,but the active radar errors began before installing GEP.I followed the instructions for installing active radar over the network to the fs9 box and had no problems and can't figure whats causing these errors.An help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Jim i have just purchased ASV6 also upgraded suv5.On start i get no thunder sound also when i tune in on 122.00 no sound report at all. In options the open theme is ticked.What is my problem.............regards robin:(

Lastnight I got my AS6 to finally load , ran it for 8hrs, restarted my pc this morning now it ownt work again. Any Ideas?Joe

I have recently bought Active Sky6. Congrats on your recent award it is truly well deserved. With FE in combination with AS6 using 32 bit clouds it looks awesome. I have a question which has been bothering me slightly - small niggle.On many quietish days the lower 5000' or so of the atmoshere is relatively polluted and hazy. Above that it generally clears progressively regardless of cloud cover. I have seen some entries on the forum about changing visibility layers and I have re-enabled the FS9 Fog layer as a result which improved things somewhat (eg rapid visibility changes).My question however is that if and when an aircraft flies above the lower haze layer why does th…

Hi, How do I obtain my reg no etc to re-install after computer failure, Active sky has been on my system from the beginning and all I did was update. This is a lesson in "why did'nt u have hard copies", instead of relying on the HDD. Sent an e-mial to support but was returned.Many thanks - gret program

On almost every second update AS autogenerates a metar, and the weather changes a lot every 10 minutes. I have not been using AS for the last few days because of this problem.I guess this is a server problem since my AS has been working just fine for about a year.

I have a strange problem. For the last couple of days, all I am getting in AS6 B523 is clear weather, not a single cloud in the sky, despite the uncoded metar on the left side saying it is in various states of overcast. On the right side in the decoded area it says Vis 9999 meters, 10 sm, Clouds: None, Precip: None.Gepro lists the correct cloud cover when it downloads the AS6 metar.I have tried many airports large and small, and this happens everywhere. Hi,I have been having dreadful problems with spy/adware in the last few days, and am physically tired after spending hours eradicating it all! Sadly ActiveSky appears to be the first (and probably not the last!) victim of my unrelenting and somewhat over-zealous deleting of all suspicious files.Upon running AS6, I am given an error message saying 'Run-time error 339: Component 'ChilkatZip2.dll' or one of its dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid.'Is there an easy solution for this problem, or is the easiest solution to reinstall ActiveSky?If the answer is yes, could I please enquire as to the procedure for downloading AS6 again, and retrievi…

Hi,I have a problem with the metar of lsgs, it's wrong "LSGS 221220Z 13004KT 4000 BR FEW040 24/15 Q1016" and the real weather is sky clear,I take it in internet "LSGS 221220Z 221319 07007KT CAVOK " you see beautiful day no clouds today.. why? and if I fetch lsgs it's lszb instead of lsgs why?
