Since installing SU5 my flights have become very smooth...too smooth ;-) Previously I had tweaked the fs config file to get a turbulence setting I liked and I would get on almost every flight, weather dependent of course, some mild turbulence. Installtion of SU5 didn't change my AS settings. Is there something I missed, or need to change, to bring back the turbuluence. I don't have auto generated VAS on, but didn't before either, just left it to be weather dependent. Mike

I am not having success when I try to use a weather theme avaiable in the Graphic Interface. I choose the weather theme, then I submit to FS2004 and nothing happens. I tryed to follow all the instructions that are provided in the user manual. The online update works properly. I'd like to know what are the exactly procedures (step by step) that I have to follow to see the wonderfull weather themes provided by the Active Sky. Please, help me. Hello:When using GE Pro with AS 6 do I use the AS6 import flight plan function or the GE Pro import flight plan function?TIA

Hello,First, I love this product. However, when I click on "WX Configurator" and chose a theme from the list on the left (e.g. Blizzard or Low Overcast), the weather selected does not appear in FS. I do click on apply and update, choose my options for the station for which I want the WX applied, but to no avail. Please help!It appears that even though I have selected a theme, the WX from the real metar is loaded anyway.Thanks for any help.David Brown

Having gone through the pain threshold and avoided making any changes to the AS6 configuration other than ensuring that AS6 and GE Pro are talking to each other as it were, I now find that my baro settings are not being recognised in FS9. I'm using FS2Crew and as part of that program the FO sets the altimeter to the current setting as determined by AS6 Prior to GE Pro instllation this worked perfectly). Now my ATC has the correct setting (using Radar Contact 4) but nothing from the previously working FO in FS2Crew. As GE Pro is the only recent addition I'm pointing the finger there. Trouble is I don't want to go and start messing around inside AS6 as I'm really not su…

Is it possible for me customise more than one weather station? I mean, if I'm flying from A to B, I would like AS to show me whatever weather is there, but I want to customise the weather around airport A and B, without changing whatever the weather is between these to airports. In the weather configurator, it looks like I can only choose one weather station to customise. Hope you understand my problem :).

When I try to start up the ASv6 Engine, an outline of the startup pops up and goes away. framworks 1.1 and 2 are installed aswell as vbrun6, and sp2. Fsuipc is installed, up to date and registered. The ASG does work fine. Anyone have an Idea on how to fix this?Joe

As soon as I check the box the program closes, I have to restart it and the box is not checked.2nd. First of all I would like to thank you for this great program, It has served its purpose as advertised without any problems for me. I would like to offer a suggestion. For overcast situations, which are not very well produced in FS9, is there a way to use the visibility features as a way of limiting your view while in an overcast layer. If your program could determine when an aircraft is within an overcast layer it could send a message to reduce visibility to 0 until you emerge and restore to reported visibitity values. Example: if the clouds are reported to be 300ft ovc and the tops are 5000ft, when descending through 5000 feet the visibility would drop to 0 or ne…

Good morning StaffI've just bought a new pc as my main flying pc. I run ASV6 off a second pc via widefs. Obviously the paths are wrong in the asv6.ini and this will be just one of the things I have to update on the ASV6 installation. Do you have an FAQ answer somewhere to tell me what I need to do, or can you tell me here? Is it a re-install on the asv6 pc or just a modification of a couple of things? Hi,A question about the integration between these two programs, when I start GEPro II and then go to the Wx Control it downloads the METAR from ASv6 which then submits the textures to FS but at that time I haven't had the chance yet to enter my dep and arrival ICAO in GEPro II which means ASv6 will submit appropriate cloud textures for the present weather at KSEA rather than at my actual dep airport.Am I missing something here or what is the best way to start these two programs when you don't have a preconfigured flightplan to feed them with but still want accurate weather for your dep and arrival airports?

Hi Everyone:)Like some I am going to bite the bullet and upgrade to a new computer upon the arrival of FSX.When I install FSX on the new computer will I be able to download the exe. file for Active sky or should I copy the files from my old computer to the new one.I have not visited this forum often because the program has worked as advertised and I have experienced no problems.Personally I would like to install from a new Exe. file to avoid bringing over any files from my old computer.Tks. for any advise Kenny G.

I have recently noticed that the destination weather (although available) is replaced by weather from a source nearby.For example: Today I flew from ESMS to ESSA (Stockholm).I imported the flightplan, but in the destination box the top line said: 180820Z EFMA 9000 BR ................180820Z ESSA 0200 FG ...................When airborne in the cruise I tuned into 122.0 and it gave me the weather for EFMA.This is quite annoying as I was looking forward to a LVP landing.I have also noticed this for LOWI (gives a weather for a location nearby in Germany) and other stations.It never used to do this?Thanks for your help,Neil

hello everybody,first time posting here(never had problems with AS) and couldnt find anything regarding my question.since the last two or three weeks i cant get the true weather information for LOWW (home base).mostly it shows at the end RMK AUTOGEN.1 or 2 times out of ten it shows the correct weather at the beginning and at the next update it shows again autogen rmk.yesterday i asked another activesky user online (at loww) about his weather and he replyed that he is wondering too becausehe got the same problems. he also mentioned that sometimes he receives the weather from LOAN instead of LOWW.any idea if i possibly made a mistake or is it a server problem..as far as i f…

Hi I've been an ActiveSky user since its initial release. I've always loved the program. And I've recently upgraded to AS6 Build470. However I have one problem (both with ASVe & ASv6): My FS shutters on clouds draw. First thing first, my computer. I have a AMD64 3200+, 1GB ram, 7800GT PCIe and Maxtor 7200 rpm with 8mb cache. I use this computer exclusively for FS9. I have about 6 addon aircrafts all together and FSGlobal2005, Flight Environment and ASv6 plus a nice blend of AI using the best models like AIA, CDAI, FSP, etc. AI at 40%. Nothing else, not a single addon airport. And I don't go crazy on vcard and FS settings. This is my third computer for FS and…

Can anyone tell me why in FS2004 a plane can't be partially engulfed in fog, or disappear into a cloud from tower view or spot view? I have broused a lot of the screenshots from FS2004 and have yet to find a pic where the aircraft is partially visible through the fog or through a cloud. You always see all of the aircraft all of the time. Even in the replays in FS 2004, the entire aircraft is always visible. I remember in FS 2002 watching replays of landings I made in a low cloud cover with the fog very thick and watching my plane slowly become visible as it came down through the cloud and fog. It was really impressive. If anyone can duplicate this in FS 2004, I'd love to …

Hi,i run FS9 and GEProII on main PC and ASv6 on a client.Now my question is:i usually first start ASv6, download latest metar plus 5-6 additional hours, import and process a FS9 flightplan; after that i refresh weather (i start paused).then i start GEPro on the FS9 machine and check Wx Control tab where i am asked: do you wish GE import and decode the latest metar cycle from Active Sky.Well, what does "latest metar cycle" mean in this case? the one that has just been processed by ASv6? i have plenty of METAR's into Active Sky folder, how can i check if this is true?thanks in advance for helpingLuigi ;-)
