Hi Everyone,If you discover that FSX and ASv6.5 are not sharing weather data, plase check the following:1. That you have FSUIPC4 correctly installed into FSX.2. That if you move traffic files from FS04 to FSX, that none of your AI folders generate a "same folder name" error. Since the update, it seems that I'm not getting ceilings set properly anymore.I run AS6.5 on my laptop, with FSUIPC 3.70 and WideFS 6.70. Today I was flying into KMCI and the METAR was:KMCI 261953Z 03010KT 7SM OVC005 12/10 A2983 RMK AO2 SLP099 T01220100What I got coming in was ceilings around 1200 feet OVC. Other nearby stations were reporting 500-600 OVC, so I don't think it was a problem with that.I'm attaching my configuration settings, maybe you'll spot something I'm doing wrong. Hi all, just purchased Active Sky 6.5 for FS9. Question regrading the textures. I want all the textures minus the runway light textures to be random every time I start FS9. Do I just choose Theme Random, or just choose random for each catagory? Plus is it more realistic to choose the textures for "weather influenced", plus how does that work? I have read the PDFs and text domcuments but want more info.Thanks,Bill

My FSX runs OK, about 20-25 FPS.Intel Pentium D 840 3.2 Ghz Dual CoreNVidia GeForce 6800 256 MB Video Ram2GB DDR2 RAMWindows XP with SP2Latest DriversAll is well except for if you look at the attached picture you will see the lower cloud layer is right up against the mountains and as I fly along the border where the clouds meet the mountains they are very "twitchy" (for lack of a better word). I have tried maxing weather settings to lowering them to minimal and the same problem still occurs. I have not yet installed ActiveSky into FSX yet, but I was wondering if that might cure the problem or is it a driver problem? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks,Darren

Please assist!I removed Active sky, reloaded FSX, and re installed Active Sky 6.5 again. The ActiveSky 6.5 install goes fine. When I start the Wx engine program for the first time, I get some path browse windows, the program loads up and appears to work. I then close Active sky and FSX, then get these errors everysingle time I open Active Sky 6.5. Despite my browsing to my applicationdata folder.(And yes, it's shared).I can't be the only one having this issue.I have Windows XP SP2FSX Deluxe retailWhat do I need to do to get this working?

HiCould somebody please tell me exactly what I have to do to set AS to work in FSX.I have both Fs9 and FSX on the same machine.I have read the guidelines on setting AS in FSX-but I am a little confused !!do I have to add the FSX path to the ini. file underneath the FS9 pathway????And how do I get the AS clouds to appear in FSX.I have added the FSX path underneath the fs9 but I haven't noticed any improvement in the clouds.Looking forward to all the help.rwy12

Hi,I recently purchased AS 6.5 and installed it on a wideclient pc.AS is working fine but I can't get ASG to work. When I start it, I get a taskbar icon but no window or error message. The only way I can get the taskbar icon to close is by using the task manager.The wideclient is running XP pro and has .net 1.1 installed.Am I doing something wrong here ?Hopefully someone has a solution for this ?cheers Martin

HiI have recently returned to flightsimming and am having problems with the weather not updating. I am using FS 2004 and AS 4.5 B193. When I flew two days ago (Oct 23) everything seemed fine. Yesterday I was still getting the previous days weather (home airport is in UK EGSY). I thought it was a server problem. Today I still appear to be getting Monday's weather (231050Z). Certainly the rain outside is not being represented (I'm getting blue sky with broken clouds.) I am using Norton Internet Security 2005 but it is configured to allow AS to connect. HiIs there a full version ASV 6.5 for FSX i can download??? i'm trying to use the ASV6 upgrade and ASV6.5 upgrade files,but i'm getting these errors.1. can't find FS folder..i browse and save..then2. I would like to purchase AS v6.5 as long as there is no reason I should wait.I am a happy ASV customer on FS9. I also now have FSX but it does not run very well for me and I'm probably going to mostly shelve it for a few months while my favorite payware aircraft and other fixes are being developed. I would be happy to purchase AS v6.5 now for use in both FS9 and FSX (a little bit), but I am in no hurry. I seem to be having problems with FSUIPC & AS6: I get a 'FSUIPC not accredited' message box popping up - though only intermittently, and the FSUIPC.log points to AS6.Pete Dowson has said the following - "... Hi,I understand that ASV 6.5 is OK with FSUIPC 3.7 on FS9. When I upgrade to FSX I understand the need to go to ASV 6.5 and FSUIPC 4.0.Also, my question does not concern the obvious benefits of adding Ground Environment Pro. Could you tell me what does ASV 6.5 do beyond what version 6 does in FS9? Does it add anything or fix anything for FS9? Or is there no change as far as FS9 is concerned? This Sunday (Oct 21) around 21:00Z, OITT-Tabriz Intl (Iran) was reported by AS6.5 to suffer 150KT winds. On final, my PC-12 was 'stopped' in air like a chopper :-0. Going around, the ATIS confirmed the situation, which was below 2000ft above the field.Pausing FS, I looked for the real OITT Metar and it said the winds were calm.Refreshing AI6.5, the 150KT winds were still there.But I noted that some part of the Metar format was a bit different than the ordinary format. The date/time string digits were correctly 212150Z (day 21 time 21:50) and the remaining digits were somewhat confused (wind speed in mph).
