I have ASv6.5 for fs9. A great addition to my 'realism' arsenal. For some obscure reason I am no longer able to access the fs9 'real world weather' site or have not been able to for a day or so (it could be the site) but a question springs to mind. If I have ASv6.5 configured to give me online updates, is it necessary to have fs9 obtaining them as well?Jon S.

The current and immediate previous builds of ASG are (or causing something) to read my A drive during auto updates. Doesn't happen when auto updates are disabled/ASG is shut down. Soon as I start ASG the drive seeking starts.I haven't been able to capture this with file monitor. While there is another thread in the forum on this topic, it appears nothing was resloved. This happens only when ASG is active. No, antivirus is not running.Anyone have a brilliant solution?Jim Harnes

I have been noticing recently that FSnavigator is showing the winds correctly per the ASV interface but FS9 itself is a few degrees - up to 20 - out. The speeds are always correct.Finding it very strange but not life threatening!! Just wondering if anyone else is getting this and whther its an issue with my FSUPIC settings. I do not understand how FSnavigator can show correct settings and the main sim not. Interesting to get some feedbackThanksJohn

JimIf for trouble shooting reasons I run the ASV6 setup and choose the repair option, do I need to run the SU5 again?I did the repair option and my interface screen still says it's Build 523 and ASG screen says it's V1.1 build 187. Even though I think it gets that info from the respective .cfg files. I'm running ASV6 SU5 and GE Pro II, on a wideFS setup (FS9). I have started ASV normally and loaded the sim and everything seems to load as normal as always (ASG and GE Pro, etc.)Just wondering if the ASV6 repair option could have overwrote any files from the original SU5 installation. After running the repair option all the .cfg files are still the same as before running it.…

Quick question: I've finally managed to figure out how to get rid of that sharp horizon issue, using wx influenced seasonal day textures (smooth horizon). Provided I now want to use a fixed day sky textures set instead, can I still get a smooth horizon? Can somebody explain what is actually triggering the horizon smoothing? Thanks for the help!Roland

Hello Jim or DamienA couple of questions regarding ASV6 (SU5) with GE Pro (FS9)1. In my ASGWorkTexture folder there is nothing in it. In my ASG root folder there was a Text file named (Submit) and In that file was a bunch of lines that said "error submitting final copy" C:BasefoldermodulesASG GraphicsWorkTextures- then the name of the texture- Network path not found. There were a lot of lines in the file and each one named a different texture. The last time that file was modified was before I figured out that my FS path in the ASG cfg file was wrong (not the right share name for my FS9 folder. I never got an error when ASG was submitting the textures when starting activesky…

Hello.I was hoping you would answer a question for me regarding the Auto-Submit feature of ASV v6.After reading through the manual my understanding is that with the Auto-Submit feature checked the proper textures will be copied to the sim depending on the weather conditions.Going with the assumption that the above is correct, what needs to be done with the "Full Sky" and "Cirrus" Theme area? Anything? It seems as though if you have something in either of these fields those are the textures that will be used all of the time and not change if the weather changes.Am I missing something completely obvious here? Thanks!

Was wondering how wind changes affect aircraft indicated speed in FSX?Is it like FS9, where the IAS will jump instantly by large amounts when you enter a new area with a different wind? I understand that there is currently no way of 'smoothing' the wind transitions yet with FSX.I am hoping this is fixed somewhat, as it can get frustrating being told off by ATC for leveling off because the speed starts falling away due to wind changes. Thanks for any info.

I know that weather settings in FSUIPC should be cleared when running AS. I was hoping to restrict outside winds aloft and I do have that set in FSUIPC. However the winds continue at 100+. I guess the two don't work together at all. Am I correct?

I installed 6.5, which seemed to work in FSX, but then I came to run the game this moring, and a strange message came up in FSX when I tried to use realworld weather. It said there was an error with the internet connection. THere wasn't, I could still collect to the internet.I then tried FS9, same problem with realworld weather.I then tried Activesky, and it never completes downloading weather from hifi net. It says FS9 is active, and gives time and date, and the sky is clear in FS9, like it's waiting for the weather to be imported.I tried reinstalling (back to version 6), and reinstalling FSUIPC (I'm on 3.1, but tried later versions, all to no avail), but it hasn;t done …

Hi everybody,I have heard many different opinions on it, anyway I'm asking you which is the most correct procedure to get the best performance from AS6. I mean, I'm planning a flight (whatever flight) what I have to do? Opening first AS6 and import the flight plan, or open first FS2004 and load the flight plane and then run AS6?Hope it's clear.
