The wind is fluctuating from 286/135, to almost 320/1 when there is an update of weather, what can I do for it??

Sorry if this has already been covered but I haven't come across it. I am having trouble loading weather themes - when I'm activating Fs9 I get the following:-"FSpathE:Program FilesFlight Simulator 9not currently available - unable to check wx station list. This may cause problems with stationweather. Please enable FS9 machine/path then restart AS to ensure proper operation". When I first checked the configuration settings in ASv6 folder, within Modules/fs9, it did indicate "D" drive in stead of the correct one "E". I changed the "D" to "E" in both the ASv6 and ASGraphics folder but it is still giving me the above message. Also, when Fs9 is starting up I get a message t…

I have ASv6.5 but don't see the active radar in the Flight menu. How do I go about correcting this ?

May I most humbly suggest that future versions of AS include a Pause button in the interface (there is unused space between "Create" and "Refresh AI" begging to be used.There are lots of reasons why one would want one's Pause button, the most obvious being that in one's FSX, when one updates one's weather, one tends to suffer stutters, which, as one happens to enter a critical phase of flight, can be quite annoying. It would be an added convenience, if one had one's Pause button :)

Hi,I can't seem to find an answer to my question in the forum or faq.Question:I wiped FS9 and everything with it off my harddisk. Now i only have FSX installed and i have the ASv6 file.So how do i go about to get ASv6.5 into FSX.Because my understanding is that i can't install ASv6 directly into FSX and i can't install ASv6.5 without ASv6. Hope someone can answer this for me, since i'm kinda lost here.

Are the sudden visibility changes, fog popping in and out and sky flickering when looking upwards at high altitudes issues that AS6 can and will resolve or are they part of the buggy FSX release?Much obliged.

I'm a relatively new (1 month) Active Sky user (ASAv6 Build 533). Great program, but I have been encountering one repeated problem. My home airport is CYLW (ATIS 127.50). With some downloaded weather sets (example 20070113_17Z) the ATIS does not work (no "answer" when 127.50 is set on Com1) while for other sets (example 20070116_03Z) the ATIS is fine. Other airports ATIS (example CYVR) seem to work for all ASv6 weather sets. CYLW works for all the FS9 sets I have used, but I can't say I have used an FS9 set corresponding to an ASv6 set that had a missing CYLW ATIS.ASv6 has the CYLW weather in all cases. Hi all,I've recently been doing some flying from AFB's and NAS's in the Florida/Georgia area. I get some weird looking graphics (due to weather) at such places - see attachment. The scenery will load fine, but then it gradually changes to what you see in the pics. After I take off, climb out and get some distance away, everything will change back to normal. I am using WideFS for my FSBuild and ActiveSky installations. I am having no trouble with them working with FS9, the only problem that I am having is when I want to import a Flight Plan into ACtiveSky. FSBuild is using the default directory "k:micorsoft gamesflight simulator 9" for the FS9 export. How can I tell FSBuild to send a flight plan to my "c:documents and settingsjohnmy documentsflight simulator files" directory? Thanks, John

Hey folks,Using the newest B536, I get the weather from 11JAN06 here in Norway. Also noticed that server 1 is very slow.. it takes like 2 minutes to load the 400kbs..Anyone else?

Lately I have had a problem where the Altimiter will revert back to 29.92 after the program sets the correct setting for the airport I am starting at. After takeoff it works just fine thru landing and shutdown. I figure it is one of the settings I have but this is the first time I noticed it. I am not sure why it is doing this. Help please.

I looked in my FS9/Modules/ASv6 folder and found an old version of FSUIPC (version 3.52). I am using v3.71 for FS9 and v4.02 for FSX. Should a copy of FSUIPC be located in the ASv6 folder?

During approach and landing, there is no need for refreshing the weather data of FS9. Refreshing weather data is useless during approach, just want to keep the data at this instant and don't refresh it as it kills performance. However, when approaching, I close the ActiveSky, it uses back the FS9 default clearWhat can I do :-hmmm :-hmmm :-hmmm

Guys, anyone knows how to check the status of ASV6.5 and GEPro integration? (wia WideFS). ASV6.5 is on the client PC and GEPro is on the main FS9PC. When I was installing GEPro on the main FS9 PC, the Client PC was down, and GEPro installer warned that it could not find ASV (or something like that). I completed the installation and all seemed fine. How do I know yet that integration between ASVe and GEPro (via WideFS) is running and it is OK?Thanks.

I just did a flight from WSSS to VIDP... well, I tried to. Right before hitting the Indian ocean, turbulance got bad, there were lots of thunderstorms below me, and a few clouds almost to my level of 32k feet. Well I got through that, but halfway between the shores of Singapore and India, it came again. Not only was my airplane bouncing up and down, but I could not hold a speed to save my life. I was flying the PMDG 747-400 freighter, at max throttle, even go-around thrust. and it would not hold any altitude at any speed without the stick shaker coming on. By the time I hit the Indian coastline, it was beyond belief. I even dove down at 3k feet a minute and my speed would…

I've been having some problems with ASv6.5 and my X1950 Pro. Last night I was flying and everything seemed fine until I hit overcast clouds and my frames went from 30 to 15 within seconds. Prior to my X1950 I owned a 7900GS which was installed on a AMD 4000+ and I had no problems with clouds. My current computer is a X6700 with a X1950 Pro and I can barely go through heavy clouds without dropping my frames. As a benchmark I used the 'low overcast' WX to see if the changes made any difference in frames. I've tried using smaller sized textures, lowering my AA and AAF settings, lowering the settings within FS9 and lowering the layers in ASv6.5 without any difference. I'm cur…

Hi,I use Active Sky for all my flights, and I absolutely love it! If my internet connection happens to be down, I almost don't feel like using my sim anymore...One question though:I observed on days with heavy cloud cover, that at startup (as soon as clouds and weather are drawn in FS9), an overcast day really looks overcast, with heavy and dark clouds. After 20 seconds or so, the weather changes apruptly. The clouds are still there, but the sky does not look as dark anymore. There are even some places where I can see blue sky now.The first weather depiction is so much more realistic, but it's gone after 20 seconds!Who knows why that happens and how to give back the mean …

I am playing FS9, PSS A333, online with IVAOI get FPS of 7~8 when cruising, but after I close the Activesky, I get back my FPS to above 20. Is that true that ActiveSky draw resources a lot, or I get some mistake in the config.

Hello, Got a situation that has never occured before. I have an AGP 7800 GSOC graphics card... Well I decided to do some changes and set my graphics to the max for FS2004 by making a profile and not letting the graphics be application controlled.. Work's great! One problem I started to get ready for a flight setting up everything and ActiveSky cooking etc.. As soon as I popped up the Weather Radar I noticed anywhere I moved it on the screen from the bottom of the box down was a blank black screen. In other words I could cut the screen in half etc. And when I shut it off everything back to normal I could see my full Cockpit panel again etc. …
