Hi,This morning I was flying in the LDS 767, and noticed this:http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/169037.jpghttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/169038.jpgThe wind reported by ASRadar is different to that reported by the 767, and I can't see why this would be so. This is above my suppression altitude by the way.It's probably not a big deal, but it stuck out as odd this morning!Cheers,Mark

Does Activesky Graphics work in FSX yet?

When I check the TAFs in the open sky window while playing flight sim I get the current weather with no TAfs. I hit update and get nothing..How do I fix that

I use AS with GEP.I'm quite happy with the appearnce of clouds and skies in FS9. Looks very realistic.Two things bother me.1.I open up AS. Wait until METARS are done loading. I hit the GEP button, and wait for textures to be installed. My default airport in the top window of AS is EGKK. GEP loads textures for EGKK weather.But what if I later to fly out a place with clear weather. There's no turning back. It seems that if I open up GEP first, only then do I have a choice which textures to install(dest/arr airports,cloudcover etc).2. I find that after activating As and GEP, it takes forever for the weather to appear in FS9. Sometimes nothing appears. I have to minimize FS, …

I have been using Active Sky 6.5 and have had constant thunderstorms whenever I get rain or snow.For example this morning flying from Leeds Bradford to Aldergrove, Active Sky said light snow but had thunderstorms and no snow????.Any help would be much appreciated.ThanksMark Oxley

When I fly on VATSIM with a buddy, both of us with ActiveSky 6.5, both apparently using the same options and FSUIPC settings, both using FS9, we see fairly different winds aloft. For example, just now near Buffalo, he was seeing something like 324/60 and I 215/27. Refreshing makes no difference. The winds indicated under the nearest station do not agree, even if the METAR and timestamp do agree.What could be causing this? It is happening almost every flight for us. Hello AS-Team,my FS9 crashes if i use AS with RadarContact. It happens when RadarContact wants to report the destination weather. Everything is fine, from takeoff to cruise.I loaded a flightplan into ASv6.5. First two times i entered an alternate airport to the dialouge and FS crashed. After that i loaded a FP without an alternate and managed to land with RadarContact reporting the destination weather.But unfortunately today FS crashed again without an alternate.I had FSMeteo before ActiveSky and never had such a problem.Please help me! Hi,I have ASV6 for FS9 with FSUIPC 3.71. When flying (online or offline, that doesn't matter), AS keeps giving me what I think is cloud layers at cruise flight level.I don't like that - all of a sudden everything turns grey and visibility goes down to minimum. I already tried all kinds of settings with FSUIPC and AS - to no avail.I cannot say if this is realistic (I don't fly that much in RL; however, I have never noticed this) but I want to get rid of it. No clouds, haze, fog, low vis or whatever above FL280. How can I accomplish this?Thanks and Best WishesBoris

Hi,I've pretty much got my new install of ActiveSky sorted and I have to say it's a great improvement over the default FS2004 cloudscape. At last I can fly VFR to a gap in the clouds and not find myself suddenly immersed within a cloud. I wish I'd bought AS years ago.I have experienced a couple of anomalies I'd like to ask about, though.First I had a flight in scattered cloud to 10000 ft at about 9 am FS-time, and shortly after I took off the orange post-sunrise colour of the sky and clouds suddenly changed to a bluish cast. Always get message: 'download failed or cancel'Funny thing is just before updating, ASv6.5 was working great. Hello all,I'm new to AS and absolutely loving it.It's doing everything I want it to do and I have no complaints, except...Every so often my screen would flash, and then a green tape would scroll across the top announcing the latest acquired metar from the nearest station....Is there some way to suppress this? Is there any way to modify the keyboard shortcut ctrl+f12 to activate the weather radar? I am using ctrl+f12 for loading active camera views and would like to keep it that way if possible, and reassign the new radar gauge to a different button.. If it is not available, how easy would it be to add this into the MR2 patch?Ruahrc

Just have a quick question...Running 6.5 with build 552 here, after download of Wx data, my floppy drive 3.5" tries to read for a disk when ASG updates the graphics etc, during "Updating ALL ASG graphics" regardless if i'm running FS or not.Any solution?Randy

Anyone any ideas as to why I am getting the effect in the screenshot? I get it whether I use Flight Environment Clouds, or the AS Graphics - though only in some flights. I get odd clouds, whiter than the rest and moving faster. They appear suddenly in mid-distance to close up and even though they are clearly meant to appear to be closer to the aircraft than the other clouds, they always move behind other clouds, even ones on the horizon. The effect is very weird - it would be appreciated if anyone can help clear this up.My ini settings as below. Hi, I'm a new user and don't yet have the big picture. I read that AS uses the flight plan to track the weather from waypoint to waypoint giving me the impression that AS downloads only the weather. But surely AS downloads world-wide weather, so why does it need a flight plan. You're all aware that no question is a stupid question, right?Geoff

Hello. Love the product by the way. So, i've decided to network my computer to free up some resources and followed (or tried to at least) the sticky on how to do it to the tee. I've mapped the drives and according to the instructions, said that once I install AS6 that it will ask me where FS9 is installed and ask for application data files, none of which happened. AS6 connects to FS through WideFS but not sure if my textures are installed on the main. Any help?Thanks
