What AS6 is showing me, and what is actually occuring in the sim are often times two different things for me.For example, I just updated AS6 and this is what it is showing me for winds aloft:FL030: 310/07 (11.30) FL060: 319/13 (8.30) FL090: 345/18 (5.90)FL120: 053/08 (-1.60) FL180: 346/15 (-16.80) FL240: 320/13 (-29.30)FL300: 344/27 (-45.10) FL340: 353/44 (-52.10) FL390: 000/64 (-56.90)Right now, O am cruising at FL390, and the weather in FS is reading winds 343

Hello.So I've seen the suggestion/necessity point here regarding the "Render to Texture" check box in FS9 both ways here. I've seen where people/HIFI say that it should be checked and I have also seen where people/HIFI say that it should not be checked.Which way is it?Thanks!

I searched the forum and didn't find anything that appeared to apply to this situation. Frankly, I'm not completely sure anything is actually wrong.Here's the situation. The last two weeks I've been doing some computer cleaning and general tweakerizing. All of this resulted in a pretty radical improvement in both framerates and more importantly fluidity. Hi,just to be sure, is this the correct procedure I'm following? I want to do a flight from EHAM to ZSPD - about 11 hours flight time - on January 14th. I've downloaded dat files (20070114_15Z_archive.dat) plus 13 consecutive hours - as I'm starting with a cold & dark situation. Hey Guy's! Somehow I lost the Lead-In Strobes for the Runways!! Don't know If I messed up a setting in Activesky that Deactivated this or what! But I Can't Get Them Back! I want to do some Night Flying, and I can't see the Runways because it's all Dark, Only thing Working on the Runway's are the Edge Light's and Center Line Light's. So It's veryhard when coming in for the Approach at Night! Can Anyone Plase Help me to get this Back? Hate to do a Reinstall of my FS! MIKE:(

Jim,I have installed ASv6 ASG GEpro FE and Ultimate terrain.The Weather Influenced Themes work ok, as do the WX Configurator themes.I need some help...I can't get Active Sky Graphics to change conditions in FS9.In ASG I choose quick select ENVIRNMENT / SHOWERS. I send this to FS and it responds that it loaded it ok.I have tried various combinations of ASv6 GRAPHICS Options, the last being NO options being selected at all under GRAPHICS.I have tried running the AS Graphics program along without ASv6 running and I still can't get Shower conditions to show up in FS9.I have tried Enabling ASG auto-submit with full sky theme and cirrus theme left blank, and them running …

Hi folksI'm using Windows Vista and I'm having some problems with AS 6.5 for FSX:* First: I always receive this mesage: "AS was unable to properly detect your personal Application Data folder (for FS wx mapping entries). Please browse to it in the next screen... It is located in the FS9 machine as Documents and Settings[usernameApplicatino Data. This Folder must be shared for read/write access* During fly, I'm also receiving a lot of messages that recommend me to reinstall the application, but once re-installed again the errors appears.Is AS full compatible with Windows Vista? Hi Alljust had to reformat and reinstall and when I run AS6.5 then select GEpro I get runtime error 53 message - file not found. Never had this problem before in any set up and find it wierd - especially as I have lates version of GEpro II.Not life threatening in any way as I can install textures direct from the GEpro interface but just wondering why this is suddenly happening?ThanksJohn

Just the last few days this is, everytime I start AS (6.5) I get an installation window for Microsoft Access 2000 SR-1 runtime, this blasted thing keeps on opening for three to five times before it finally gives in and AS can sometimes then run, at other times I have to go through the whole process again as Activesky will crash out completely. I am sure that this is an error on my machine, what I don't know, but I wanted to make certain that AS is not looking for the Access files (perhaps they are missing?) and that is what is causing this.I get a similar error with FS9 itself, if I have an excel file open when fs9 is run, it wants to install speech recognition files!So, …

Hi,I have had a strange problem yesterday with AS6.5 B536. Error accessing internal componets ( Unencrypt step 1-. Please run "Repair" option via the ASv6 setup to replace required files.I get this message all the time and have to run the reapair mode, but now I have done it so many times I have no more left. It might be caused by either Windows Washer or My Registry Repair program I am not sure. My Registry Repair program always finds at least 150 erros every few days and I am wondering what you think. Hi,I've been having random CTD's where FS2004 just shuts itself down, without any warning or error message, it just....disappears, leaving me sitting there bemused. Today I was tracking my AI aircraft and had 3 of these random CTD's after about 10-20 mins of me starting the sim.I have Render to Texture ticked in the FS2004 settings however the text line RenderToTexture=1 didn't appear in the FS9.cfg file. I have now added it under my display device setting and currently testing my system and so far so good.Could the fact that the line RenderToTexture=1 wasn't in my FS9.cfg file have anything to do with the random CTD's?

There is something not quite right with my AS6 setup, but I can't fathom quite what: I have the same config options ticked as you recommended (Jim); I can post a screenshot of course ...When I start a flight the weather (using Beijing Intl, ZBAA, from where I am flying as I write this, as an example) is foggy. Hi there,I wasn't sure where to post this but thought you'd guys would probably be the best people to ask.My problem is i can't get rid of that hard horizon, the line that splits the ground and the sky. I've attached a screenshot below. I have seen many a screen shot where the ground and the horizon blend really nicely with one another but i can't seem to get that no matter what i try. I've tried reducing the visibility to 30 in AS but at 30000ft it looks like i'm flying through thick fog and its awful!I'm using FS9, AS6.5, and GEII. FSX and AS. I installed AS when I had FS2004 and FSX on my computer. No problems. I have now deleted FS2004. Now, when I Run AS I always have the Window "AS has updated your FS wx station list file. Please restart FS if already running so new stations can be assessed appropriately". FS is running when I Run AS. When I restart FSX, the same message comes up. Any help please. Many thanks.Delta.

I am using AS6.5 for both FSX and FS9. I have only one installation of AS6.5. I've disabled a lot of the options for FSX due to the limitations of FSUIPC v4.06 thus far. Everything seems to be going well with FSX & AS6.5, though.Now my question: Prior to firing up FS9 again, do I have to go back and check all of the options I was using previously for FS9? (fog layer, etc). Is there any way I could have two installations of AS6.5?
