Hi all!! I'm a new user of this fantastic weather program, but I've a little question:in the ASv6 folder (into fs9/modules) there is a copy of FSUIPC 3.5; in the modules folder I have the FSUIPC 3.71: can I put the FSUIPC 3.71 also in the ASv6 folder and delete the 3.5?Thank you all!!!

Hello again, just another quick question about our wonderful software, Is mountain weather simulated besides vas, such as mountain waves, mountain turbulence (such as rotors and other things caused by winds blowing off the side of a ridge) and just the other up-down side-to-side caused by the mountains obstructing the normal flow of air? The reason I ask is because mountain weather adds alot of complexity and excitement to a flightsim.

I just bought ASG today. I'm still kind of new with FS9.Anyway....when I load my flight plan in ASG...the top box has the weather from my departure point & the bottom box has my destination.In the bottom box this is what it has....FS is not yet connected - Flight Plan Departure coordinates have been loaded.KSAT 061725Z 061818 02015G22KT P6SM OVC018 FM0000 35008KT P6SM OVC022 FM0800 35005KT P6SM BKN035 FM1500 34005KT P6SM SCT250What do you do next? When AS gives a metar report and on the front page it shows the visibility as 0nm and 405meters but that is not the way it is in the sim, the visibility was much higher, any idea what this is about?

Good day.If I were to buy ASv6 CD, from Simmarket, does the program need any internet activation process or can I run the CD, innstall and start to enjoy???? I'm asking, because if I had any problems with my PC, that required me to set it up again, innstalling all my add-on's etc.....that my purchase was'nt lost??I dont have access to the internet on my FS9 PC, at home so I am planning to haul my machine over to work and download lots of archived weather.Thanks in advance.Golli.

Hi,Often after connecting ASV with FS9, the FS clock will be reset. For example, this morning I had the FS time set to 11:50. I then started WideFS, and ASV proceeded to load the current weather. After the weather was loaded, the FS time was now 11:03.This behavior does not happen all of the time, but I would say more than 50% of the time it does.Any ideas?Thanks!

when I try to connect.It recognize's where I'm at. I can use the fetch a report option and it will give me a report. I have AS6.5 installed in a stand alone folder ( C:Program files/AS6.5)I tried reinstalling and running the repair option.I don't if this is related, but, I am not able to download real word weather in Fs9 either. I had this problem before but a reinstall worked it out. Thanks Bob

A search didn't turn up much on this particular problem.I'm running AS 6.5 Build533 over WideFS. I just tried to submit some 128x128 clouds instead of 256x256, and when I press the 'Send to FS' button ASG does it's thing then eventually comes up with the following error....http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/164156.jpgI've attached the submit.log as well.http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/164155.txtI run FS9.1 and have WideFS setup exactly as shown in the stick thread at the top of this forum. All drives are mapped correctly and I can access them properly through windows explorer.Any ideas?

I positioned myself in Dallas. Denton Muni. (KDTO)The weather from AS6 is not real. While I get the latest Metar from FSX Real weather. Its raining here in Dallas area. I have never used it and dont plan on doing so. My question is:will removing it save ram, reduce loading or impact framerates?if so, how can I get it off my PC?

Hi,I have upgraded to a new Dual Core E6400.FsFx with AS6 is now stunning!!!However, I am getting message that my peronal application data folder cannot be found.I click on OK, and all seems to work fine!I have deleted Fs9, so is this a shared folder that its looking for?How can I work around this?Any advice gratefully received.

Hello.I was wondering if it was possible to get the Active Radar feature of ASV 6.5 to work with FSX?The weather seems to be working okay but no Active Radar. Is this just a function that doesn't work in FSX yet?Thanks!

I am having problems getting the Active Radar to work. I have tried Control and F12 keys.. but nothing.. i tried looking for it when you click File-Flights again nothing. I have reinstalled still nothing.. If anyone can lead me in the right direction I would be most pleased!Cheers,John

I want to reduce my visibility limit, it appears at the moment to be unlimited. I have set 20 miles in options and the 'enforce visibilty' box is checked but there is no change. Any help would be apreciated.

1)Hi, Im quite alarmed when watching the online mode below the download button, you see the script completing the update, the just before it finishes you can see $ and numbers racing up to around $524.Just wanting to know if this is normal or is someone cleaning out my bank account. A little concerned.2)Active sky graphics when pressed on desktop icon, advises ERor - not a Win32 application. Hi all, Just wondered if their are any tweaks for Ground Enviroment. I just read a review about blurries the effect when the textures are not fully loaded, therefore having a blurred appearance. Also it seems their is no support forum at all for GE Pro? Is this correct?ANyway back to my intial question... Is their any tweaks for optimizing the realism and getting rid of any blurries??Any help would be much appreciated guys....Ben

Hi,During all my flights I use the setting 'Force Constant Route Pressure'.This causes the QNE at the departure airport to be the same as the QNE on the arrival airport. This is a bit confusing and also 'dangerous' because all other pilots have the correct QNE at the departure airport.Therefore isn't it possible to set the 'Constant Route Pressure' during climb when passing 10.000ft (or something). This way the correct QNE at the departure airport always is used and there will be only 1 pressure change.

Hi,During the last flights I have a weird issue.When loading the weather (real & vatsim) AS reports for example 1019 pressure at the departing airport.However when pressing B to calibrate my altimeter, the pressure in FS2004 is much higher: 1034. Hi guys - Have a slight problem with FSX that only happens when ASV6.5 is loaded.Setup is P4 2.4/2G/NVidia 7600GT/512 w/ 9689 drivers - dual monitor no Wideview - latest FSUIPC.Start ASV - Start FSX - Flynow - Alt Enter to fullscreen - Shift 2 and Shift 3 to open Comm & GPS windows - drag Comm & GPS to second monitor - all is well.ASV reloads AI - dialog displays Processing Complete! - GPS and Comm on second monitor begin to flicker ( very much like old Render to Texture problem) - only way to stop is ALT ENTER to windowed mode.Doesn't happen until the dialog appears.Didn't see any mention of this in prior posts - any thoughts?Thanx!VicVisit the Virtual Pilot's Ce…

Hi all and Happy Holidays -Just purchased Active Sky yesterday 6.5 and iam impressed. However when i try and load Active Sky Graphics it appears with an error message 'THE APPLICATION FAILED TO INITIALIZE PROPERLY (Oxc0000135)CLICK ON OK TO TERMINATE THE APPLICATION'Im really lost at what to do :( It seems Active Sky is working correctly, just cannot open Active Sky Graphics.Also what would you reccomend the Display settings to be for best graphics yet a no frame rate hit. I know it probally depends on a specific CPU specs, just an average that people have found useful.Any help would be greatly appreciatedBen
