Greetings,for three days now AS2004.5 doesn't download the weather anymore. Furthermore, I can access the Hifisim site only temporarily. All of my other internet functions including online weather work fine.What can be wrong?Boris

Hi All:I have a registered version of FSUIPC 4.02 and also Active Sky with FSX.I have noticed that frequently, the Main Instrument Panel will disappear and I am left with a black screen, replacing where the panel was.I have been trying to track the cause and it appears to happen during the times I have initiated the weather programs whether it be the default or active sky.Sometimes I can get the panel back in its place if I change views several time.I do not believe it is a problem with FSUIPC because I don't believe it touches the actually graphics for the program.I even left the aircraft stationary without starting it and after several minutes it went from the 2D panel …

I recently re-installed Flight Sim and am having a problem. I have uninstalled Active Sky but am Unable to Remove Active Sky 2004.5 from my Add Remove Programs list because it claims it's dependant on another version of Active Sky which is no longer there.With that said, When I start Flight Sim and start FS Copilot Active Sky tries to open and install on it's own. I have to hit cancel 7 or 8 times till it finally stops and then Copilot starts. I have to go through that same procedure when I start FS Inn on the computer before I connect to VATSIM. Also, When I select to get the Weather report (METAR) from FS Inn it again tries to open Active Sky.I have uninstalled evertyin…

I wonder what is the overall FPS advantage on FS9 or X when running ActiveSky via another PC using WideFS? I am designing a sim running multiple screens and want to shed the load as much as possible. I'm using ASV6.5 in a wideserver/client environment. I also use Navigraph 2.0. When I start ASV6 with the 'ASv6 Wx Engine' icon the windows installer is started to configure the Navigraph application. When I cancel this it is started another time. hello, ive been having a problem with real time weather, everytime i sign on i always get a diff weather then whats currently on vatsim, for example, this was the weather on active sky for my home airport KSJC ..KSJC 160853Z 00000KT 10SM CLR 12/10 A3003 RMK ..time now. 2150Z.... i went to vatsim and looked up the current weather and this is what i got. Hi -I was playing around with the weather finder feature (which is cool, BTW!)and it returned KGDP as one the locations meeting my search criteria.I closed that window and entered 'KGDP' into 'fetch' and it said 'no matching ID'. (also tried 'copy and paste')I then went into FSX and found that although KGDP was not listed, therewas a KGDB(among other KGD_ listings) and so I went back to active skyand entered 'KGDB' into the 'fetch' box and again it said 'no matching ID'.I went ahead and went to KGDB in FSX and saw a really nice cloud frontand so I'm hoping Active sky was influencing the weather there anyway.I thought you would want to know about these database discrepanci…

Is there any point in enabling 'Vertical Air Simulation' if you don't have 'Auto Generate VAS Points' enabled?Are the defaults for VAS points a good number (30%)??Thanks!

I'm using the lastest AS6.5 build 533 with FSUIPC version 3.70 and I'm noticing a problem with winds aloft updating. After a few hours of flight the wind speed seems to drop and then freeze (even in high station density areas), on occasions it has become the surface wind of the closest station despite being at FL390. Initially refreshing the weather or restarting AS6 will unfreeze it and it will return to the appropriate value but even this stops fixing it after a while. The FS2004 weather dialog shows the wind to be what AS6 should be commanding but the simulator itself does not seem to apply that value. Hi,I have only a long series of upgrades all the way from 4.5. With no fs9 present I get all sorts of problems when I try installing AS. One update is dependent of another that is dependent of another that refuses to install because ...Is there some full 6.5 available somewhere?Eagle

Hi,During flight I experience severe pressure changes, causing the altitude to drop/rise between 100-400 feet instantly.I have enabled pressure smoothing in FSUIPC but appearantly that doesn't help.Any cause, or better any resolution for this?

Guys,I have a problem. When I load a FS2004 flightplan in active radar I do not see the waypoints in the Planning screen and I do not see the flightplan line (when turned on) in the Situation screen. Dear Support-Guys,I just bought and downloaded the new 6.5 full version for FSX.When I run setup.exe I get the following error and the setup aborted:"Error 1714. The older version of ActiveSky Version 6.5 and ActiveSky Graphics cannot be removed.Contact your technical support group."So, I guess thats you.Some more info:I had previous FS9 with ASV6.0 on that system and tried to backup with ASV6.5 with no succsess. Ever since installing the 6.5 upgrade, I get no more than 10 SM visibility whereever I fly. When visibility is unlimited, AV6.5 reports Vis: 9999 Meters, 10 SM (which is probably the 10km or more METAR), and that is EXACTLY how far I can see. The effect is not bad, but a bit unrealistic in some regions, to say the least :)Max visibility is set to 50I am using FS9.

Hi EveryoneJust installed Beta 536 and did my first flight in FSX, didn't realize how easy it was to use and clouds look fantastic.The only wrinkle I found was that every several minutes the Cessna 172 would veer violently to the right then after several seconds return to its original line of track.Possilby I have either a setting in my registered version of FUIPC 4.02 or a setting in the option page of Active Sky which is causing this problem.Any assistance would be appreciated.Kenny G.

Love the product - haven't flown without it in 4 months. Really makes FS9 a new sim!Couple questions:Vertical Air Simulation: When you set the % of VAS, is it a random amount of vertical air? Seems every gust is about the same. Here in AZ we get incredible up and downdrafts, that vary from 200fpm effect up to 2000fpm.Wake Turbulence: is this related in any way to AI traffic? Okay, I've spent a couple hours trying to find the answer to my question throughout the AVSIM forums - and everyone seems to be most knowledgable about FS Weather here.I usually use ASV, but for today's flight (UAL900 SFO-FRA - EDDF 080850Z 21005KT 0400 R25L/0600U R25R/0600N FG OVC001 04/04 Q1024 BECMG FM0950 0500 BKN002) I used FS Default Real-World-Weather; the 15-minute thing.
