I looked on the website and searched this forum but could not find any instructions reagarding dealing with FSX SP1. I apologize if I'm just not looking in the right place or searching incorrectly.I currently have ASV6.5 installed to operate with FSX and FS9.What do I have to do with my current installation of ASV6.5 in FSX, if anything before I install SP1?While I wait for ASX, is ASV6.5 compatible with FSX SP1. If so what do I need to do get it going? Thanks,Ted

Hi, I apologize if this has been asked before. I was wondering if ASX will be able to associate turbulence with certain types of clouds, as you usually catch a few bumps in real life when you fly through some clouds.Thanks,JeffP.S. Though very expensive, I can't wait!

So also happens when i load FS real wheather. Here's a picture for better information.http://img175.imageshack.us/img175/181/activeskyvy6.jpgGreets!.

I have AS 6.5 build 552 and only have FSX installed (NO FS 2004)and keep getting this message when I load up the game:" AS has updated your FS Wx station list. Please restart FS if already running so new stations can be accessed appropriately."Also the banner won't disappear automatically. I had to switch it off in the options. One last question ...should active radar work with FSX ?Any advice would be much appreciated.

Hallo HiFiSim Team,I am right now in the air flying Palma-Duesseldorf. Made my preflights with Flight Operation center and used real life Wind charts. We have a Jetatream right now over Europe with winds up to 100kt form the North. In the air with AS 6.5 and FS2004, I have a TAILWIND of more than 70kt. I will have to enter the hold at DUS, to burn off fuel to get below Landing Weight. I bought AS 6.5 because of very realistic upper winds, also over the ocean regions. Haven`t tried the North Atlantic now, but I am very disappointed waht I see already here, over Mid-Europe. Is it a today only problem ? Maybe wrong wind data ?Pushing Tin

You know that issue I've complained about on many occasions in which visibility changes so suddenly ( 10sm bug i think ) - well are they fixed or improved using ASX ?Thanks

Can anyone verify that the abrupt wind direction and speed change issues have been fixed with SP1.Regards,Richard

Hey guys. I reinstalled ASv6.5 after restoring my computer. I remeber I used to be able to turn on ASv6.5 and turn on flight simulator and go to for instance EDDF airport and within a minute or so real world weather from active sky would be activated. This is not the case this time. I even turned on "Online" mode but still no weather is being loaded from Active Sky into Flight simulator. Instead I get the Active Sky box in the bottom toolbar saying ASv6.5-FS Disconnect. Any help would be awsome. Thanks.

Hi,In anticipation of the release of the new version for FSX, am I correct in saying that I do NOT require a registered copy of FSUIPC and WIDEFS to use it across 2 PC's, and therefore use Simconnect instead. If this is the case, then will you be supplying details of how to connect this way when you release the new version.thanksKeith

In setting up my flight from Salt Lake City to Atlanta, FS9 shows the wind to be 190/13 kts. Active Sky is giving at 350/7 and I'm directed to the northbound runway which would put me into a strong tailwind for t/o. Not a good idea.Any idea why the discrepency? Maybe to do with FSUIPC settings? I have most of that turned off so as not to interfere with Active Sky.Also, I guess this has been addressed, but I'd really like to limit my 'winds aloft' without shutting them off. Anything I can do to maybe limit to 70 kts? Thanks for the help!

Great surprise Hifi on introducing your two new upcoming products and wow it blew me away surely on my buying list. But i have a couple of questions before i hit the buy button.Question 1:So i know that ASX downloads real weather data and loads them into FSX, does it also changes how the clouds look too? like custom made clouds? Or its the job for FSXE? In short, ASX only maps where the clouds should be and FSXE changes the way how the clouds should look?Question 2:I know that FSXE enhancers the environment in FSX like clouds,water,sky,etc.... what about night lighting from autogen buildings and city areas?

Hi JimI want to reinstall AS. Just did a search on reinstalling and all your answers are to email you. Can you point me to the procedure for doing a fresh install.I'm still having problems getting the my preferred airport to load on startup (still get DGTK) and still not getting FSbuild to load the winds. I'm confident I have all relevant paths etc as they should be, so I'm at the point of trying a fresh install. Have all the updates etc since AS2004.Thanks in advance

Good day. I have a small problem that I'm unable to rectify. When I'm flying my Concorde, the winds are doing some strange things between FL530 and FL550. They'll be blowing along just fine, then somewhere in between, they'll drop to like 4kts. This causes my Concorde to lose airspeed and descend to get back to mach 2.0. Then, somewhere between FL550 and FL530, winds will kick back up and my Concorde will climb. This takes place over both the Atlantic and Pacific. Any tips? Thanx!-Rick Schaefer

Guys, can anyone, please, point me to the thread with the discussion/ example of the current (intermediate) recommended settings of ASv6.5 for FSX.I've learnt a lot and seriously improved ASv6.5 interactin with FS9 reading the posts here on the board. I've created a separate ini for FSX and need the advise from the experienced users or devs for standard ASv/FSUIPC settings. Many thanks.

Hi Jim and TeamI run both FS9 and FSX (on separate deicated drives) and have AS6.5 running in both (not at the same time). If I buy the FSX version of AS (&FE) will I need to reinstall or reconfigure AS6.5 to run only in FS9? Is this covered in the installation manual? Any pitfalls?ThanksPeterH

Been having some issues with ASV6.5 just not displaying visability correctly. I configured my own weather to have 3 miles vis with and overcast layer of 200'. The problem is that I get the field at about 4 miles out (not really an issue) but I am in a haze layer. I can see the ground at 1000'. Do I have a configuration problem? Overcast should be just that - in the clouds (zero vis) until breaking out at 200'. Here a copy of my config file. Thanks for any help - this is a great program.//ASv6.5 configuration file Build 552[General]WindowPosX = 495WindowPosY = 495DefaultWeatherFolder = E:Flight Simulator 9ModulesASv6SuppressionCeiling = 10000SurfaceWindLimit = 10FS9…

The ASX product features indicate the weather radar can be integrated into any cockpit. However, there are no screenshots that show this. Can you expand on this integration? Can it be integrated into a MPD or any space in the cockpit panel? Is it also possible to display the radar indepedently (undocked), say, on another PC via simconnect? Thanks,

Have had AS6 (6.5) for over a year and it is superb--I recently loaded both Ground Environment PRO and Flight Environment to the mix--my order of load is--AS--import flight plan--build the weather--hit GE PRO button--load ground textures for given weather--close GE PRO--open FE and install cloud/sky/water preferences--close--then open FS9 (Jim S. recommended the above sequence). My question is this--whatever cloud coverage there is, is typically limited to a fairly close area around the flight path of the aircraft--my vis is set to 59 in the options--how do you increase the coverage of the overall weather without dropping your max vis down to where the horizon is so murky?…

I am one of the morons who only own FSX and unfortunately bought AS 6.5 as the hifisim-webtsite promised me "AS now compatible with FSX!".I thought "great, let's have it".How big was my disappointment when I realized more than half of the features were not working with FSX (AS graphics, radar)! Hifisim played some trick on me and sold me crippleware, period! x( And now I shall pay again as you say "no update"?! I feel totally pi**ed!Thank you hifisim for stealing my money and spoiling the fun.I'm through with hifisim and even with flightsimulation as I will become angry from now on each time I will start FSX.Once again thank you! x(
