Hello,FSX SP1 .Installing the new ASv I receive an error popup .What do I need to do to correct this panel?

Hi everyone,I just dl'ed ASX, ran the install and the first thing I get when I try to start the program is an error message "Simconnect (SP1) was not able to be laoded..." I thought this was only necessary if you run ASX on a different PC??the message box claims that further information can be found in the documentation, be great if, for starters, i could find any kind of information on simconnect in the documentation.Plus I get a constant stream of "Receive problem:Object varaible or with Block variable not set" in the ASX log.ThanksMarco

Hello,I just purchased ASX standalone and loaded a familiar route for me in the real world from Palo Alto to Salinas airport. Enroute I noticed a weird visibility layer like we used to see in FS9. If you descend into it, everything is white soup and IFR. Flying above it, it looks rather silly but you can still see through it somewhat to the ground. I was hoping ASX would fix this but I assume this would be more in XGraphics domain. Does xGraphics fix this ugly layer or is this just a fault with FSX?This layer also seems to appear and disappear a lot as well. Thanks for the help.Ryan

Hi, I was just wondering if it is necessary to shut FSX completely down in order to install textures from X graphics, or is it sufficient just to exit to the setup screen?

I have a problem when i start ASX, each time i have this error message.Simconnect (SP1 version) was not able to be loaded...this is required for operation with FSX. ASX will continue to operate but will not update FSX weather. First of all, this is a great add-on, love it; I purchased the bundle, X Graphics and X Engine together and am running them successfully on a client PC (actually I have X Graphics installed on both client and server computers, X Engine is only on the client computer). Hi guys - First, been playing with the new product and at firest blush, I love it! Seems very intuitive and very robust - nice job!!Two questions come to mind right away though - The Wx Influenced theme seems to indicate that it must be done each time you fly and want real wx themes. Is there a setting that will have ASX do that automatically each time I fly.The randomize themes - if this is selected, does this mean that X Graphics must be run first for each flight or can ASG be set to automatically pull random wx influenced themes.Last - since ASX no longer uses FSUIPC is it safe to assume that any weather related settings in FSUIPC will have no effect on ASX?Thanx for …

John,I have both FS9 and FSX installed and currently use AS6.5 with both. I can no longer find the installation instructions for using AS6.5 with FSX and don't rememeber what I did to get it working. My question is do I have to deactivate or do anything else with AS6.5 or FSX before I install ASX? Don't want to chance buggering things up.Thanks,Ted.

Hello,First, thank you so much, the talented guys from Hifisim who provide us with such quality products.I am not sure if that issue adressed on the FAQ or elsewhere, could it be possible to install both versions (Asv6 and Asx) on a same pc. I am using both Fs9 and Fsx without a problem and still wanna fly my beautiful Level-d until the Fsx version comes out. And it is not so nice to fly without Asv6, in fact, I can't lol. At the same time I love to do some flights with Fsx and now Asx ans XGraphics!Merci Messieurs!!ChristianPS: I just bought it and waiting your answer to install it. I wanna try it before going to bed. Can X Graphics be used with ASv6.5 in FSX?

While attempting to install ASX on my wideclient, it prompts me twice for the share-path across my network to my FSXsp1 partition. Upon pressin the OK button for the path on second attempt, I get the following JIT error. The main install program then procedes to "Aircraft Scan" page. If I hit the previous button back to the "XGuage" dialog, the path scan error repeats.The wideclient is WinXPsp2 and FSXsp1 is on Vista-U with UAC turned off. I can manually naviage the share using Windows explorer. ASv6.5 on this wideclient currently works with both FS9 and FSX. Hello,I have a problem to import a flight plan from the briefing screen.I can choose a plan from my FSX (my documents) folder, but just after, I have no info of departure & destination etc...in the briefing screen, so i cant process any routes.I use a French FSX, but maybe it's me which have not understood something.PS: The flight plan are made with FSX.

Call me an idiot. The Client machine is what I am having a problem with. I run the SimConnect.msi it seems to install and I assuming from the documentation that it should give me a config file in My Documents folder. I don't have one, I've tried copying the sapmple config over and testing it with the Ai Traffic program with now luck.Where am I going wrong here?? Or, where is it installing the .cfg file.

Just purchased the combo package and installed which went without a hitch!! Ran across a problem though, in cases that dialog boxes are generated when installing textures the box gets hidden behind the main application, giving the impression the app is hung. In some cases the box won't come to the front forcing me to terminate the app in the task manager!! The other thing, is it took me a little while to figure out Xgraphic default is not the same as FSX default. This means to go back to default textures you have to use the restore backup function. The problem here is it's all or nothing. There is a myriad of choices for sky textures, so I was going to use the default tex…

I'd like to pick up on a query posted in the "2 new videos" thread, which I think was never fully answered -- Steve's question about overcast.Living in Scotland, the scene I see more often than any other after reaching 10-20,000 feet in a passenger jet is a sea of white -- but of course it's not just plain white, it has undulating waves, gullies, cliffs, whorls, all sorts of things that I guess would be really hard to draw at 20+ frames per second... :) The important thing though being that in real life you can't see any ground anywhere whether you're 10 feet or 10,000 feet above the overcast layer. HiMy pc had a major problem and I had to format it over the weekend.When I tried to reinstall the As6.5 from my backup external hard drivethe AS6.5 installs ok but when I run it I get an error message.Could you please help and suggest what do I need to do.Many thank.Qas.sorry I can't remember the error message-I have removed AS6.5 form the system.
