Once my weather is set for a station, I go in and manually update the weather to have some fun with it and when I click apply changes I go back into fsx and more times than not, the weather does not update to my new settings. I think it worked twice in about ten tries. Is there something I am missing. Also, what does "parsar metar" mean? I didnt see it in the documentation.

I just bought this (from Amazon.co.uk)for FS2002 and have some problems.(I know it's old software, but maybe someone can help).Firstly, I can't get any online weather. Someimes I get an error saying "METAR or TAF Report Syntax Error".I always see "METAR report not found / ID not valid"Sometimes I have this.."There is a communication problem with the Aloft server. Please use offline mode or try again later.. The problem should correct itself soon."Secondly, I found this threadhttp://forums.avsim.net/dcboard.php?az=sho...&topic_id=26279which mentions a 1.92.5 patch (my version is 1.90) however I cannot seem to find this patch on the web. The given linkhttp://www.hifisi…

Hi AllJust wanted to add my 2 cents re these 2 great programs. Since downloading the bundle I have been flying letting the weather dictate whatever textures to use in the program. I must say that the clouds and sky textures are incredible. For those complaining about no solid cloud layer I attach this photo. It sure looks solid to me. My only complaint with the program so far is that I am still getting wild shifts in wind direction at high sltitudes. I flew today from Miami to Atlanta at 32,000 ft. Winds at the 30000 and 34000 levels all showed to be coming from the west. This was the prevailing winds experienced at 55-60 knots. However without warning on numerous occass…

Hello All, Perhaps someone can tell me what I'm doing wrong. Have SP1` installed with no problems at all. Installed ASX and Xgraphics which I got from the bundle, and now when I run ASX it says it cannot connect because of a problem with sp1 simconnect?Any ideas? I'm sort of stupid on this stuff....and yes, my internet connection was up and running. Thanks in advance,Clay

I have had your programs and newer versions the last 3 yrs.Now the newest version looks breathtaking.I wonder how the programs chose among all these beautiful possibilities.Because the light, the colours of the sea, rivers and fjords are all different from country to country. The summer sky in the Nordic countries, Australia, Mediterranean countries and African countries are different all year round. Do the programs handle this? Because you see I enjoy the adventure and don

Hi guys,I hardly get any well formed thunderstorms in FS, for the past couple of days I wanted to fly in some heavy weather so I used the internet to find out where Thunderstorms were forming.Today I found that near border of Texas and Oklahoma just right of the Panhandle some strong storms were active. So I started a flight at Frederick (Oklahoma). At Groundlevel it looked alright, I got a overcast layer with rain and thunder. but I wanted to see how the CB would look from the air so I took off to take a look. But there was nothing like a CB to be seen!! I checked the Xgauge weathermap to see if the cell would be somewhere around KFDR, but it was right in front of me, a…

I'm a new user to ASX. How exactly do you get the real weather to load in FSX? I don't want to change or add anything, I just want to fly in "Real Weather" as is. I know how to import my flight plan and I know how to import the "X Graphics" textures if I want them but what do you do next? Do you just minimize the program and open FSX and do set up there as normal?I can retrieve my X Gauge by pressing "Alt + Tab" once in FSX and I can see the flight plan depicted on it but somehow I don't think the "Real Weather" has been imported. Also, The "Voice" doesn't seem to work on the Radio on 122.00 or 122.02 which believe is supposed to give me the weather details of my departin…

I have just purchased the bundle product and I have to say that I am experiencing new exciting and realistic flying experiences absolutely without any loss of performance also in really heavy bad weather conditions.I have only some questions about:1. After to have create and installed a customized theme in X Graphics, have I again to click the button 'Install X Graphics textures' in ActiveSky X to be sure to load the preferred textures?2. I have reduced the wind, turbulence and icing sliders: if I put them at maximum level could I have some loss in performances?3. Mainly for dusk, dawn and night sky textures I don't have an homogeneous sky, but i see unrealistic rectangl…

When changing resoltions in Map View from 200 to 5nm, the view never clears and stays blurry. The airport, station etc. markers are sharp but the bg terrain remains a blur. I even paused the sim for 15 minutes and it never cleared up. Seems that 30nm is about the limit for relatively crisp images.Should the image be clear through the entire range? Are there any settings that control this?System:P4/3.4/2GDDR/GF7600/512Thanx,VicVisit the Virtual Pilot's Centerwww.flightadventures.comhttp://www.hifisim.com/Active Sky V6 Proud SupporterRadar Contact Supporter: http://www.jdtllc.com/

Maybe my question was done in the wrong thread (see price offer)What I notice that when flying in actual weather and when you save the actual weather and load it the next day it's different depicted in ASX and FSX...So I end up with not the same weather (in case you will do a flight with cool archived weather ;-)) Is this a user error or something else?Other item is also already mentioned sudden changes in visibility very frustrating to say the least :(Thanks guys for the support in advance,Cheers,Andr

Hello,Overall, I'm pleased with my recent purchase of ASX. But it seems to me that the "Offline Sequence Playback" feature in AS6.5 is not implemented in ASX. But perhaps I just haven't figured out how to achieve the same results I had with AS6.5.Bassically, what I would like to do is this: Before starting FSX, download historical weather for each hour of my expected flight time. I would then set the FSX time and date to the first historical hour, and as each hour of my flight elapsed ASX would load the next hour of historical weather.Right now, I can sort of achieve this by manually synchronizing ASX's historical time with the current FSX time and then manually resyn…

I think ASX and ASG are great products, but I wish there would be some admittal to the fact that I think alot of us fly around in a donut hole. If you look around things look overcast but if you look down you can see the ground no matter how overcast it may be. I asked for screen shots of straight down shots with overcast decks underneath and got side shots, I asked again and I heard crickets chirping. I have the products and I have consistently flown around in overcast areas and have yet to truly enter the weather and lose contact with the ground. To be honest it is frustrating. Has anyone really gone into the weather, lost complete contact with the ground and flown an a…

Hi,I just want to inform the Hifi team of a problem with overcast conditions depiction.I made a flight today (TO at 1300Z) between PASX (Soldotna) and PAYA (Yakutat) with weather stations along the way reporting overcast conditions at low altitudes (003 to 030).During the flight at FL300, I had only a thin layer of clouds just above the ground: this layer was localized under the aircraft, say within a radius of 10 NM) and remained there (it was moving with respect to the ground, but remained fixed under the aircraft). The rest of the sky was clear: this is not very realistic.Just to be sure, I made the same flight just afterwards with FS9 and ASV6, and the ground was invi…

I have managed to get Activesky and Xgraphics running properly after following the advice to delete the simconnect directories, uninstall SP1 and then reinstall.Unfortunately now when I'm ready to give this new software a whirl in FSX my TIR4 has stopped being recognized when FSX starts up. I have seen some posts about changing the IP address in the simconnect.xml but I'm feeling like the dumb kid in the slow row.Could someone please help me out with some basic instructions on how I might try to fix this (what file to edit, where to find it, etc.)? Thanks,Brent
