Hi,A quick question... I first installed ASX on the same PC as FSX and all worked well. I decided to move to a networked configuration. Although AFX and FSX are talking to each other and FSX is getting the proper info from ASX, I cannot get any WX reports on 122.0, just silence. Could somebody help me troubleshoot? Thanks.Doug

  2. HiI am enjoying using Active sky, but have noticed some strange differences between real weather and Active sky weather.I live close to the weather station at EKYT and today the weather is clear without even a single cloud in the sky. However, at the same time Active sky X says it is either overcast at 8100 feet or broken clouds and displays this in FSX too. I tried refreshing several times and it seems to switch between these two specific conditions.Am I doing something wrong or is there a problem with the weather data from this station? Another weather station at EKSN, close to EKYT, is currently also displaying overcast conditions allthough weather services report clea…

Hi AllI have me surface winds setting to 0 knots to make landing easier.I have noticed with ASX that when gust are forcast for the surface winds that there is a large shift on approach from 0 knots to anything like 16 knots just when Gust are forecast. Is there another setting that I can select to prevent the gust from showing up during my landing or T.O.Tks. for any comments.Kenny G.

I'm kinda new to FSX and saw the raves about the new HiFi bundle. Decided to purchase it and to my pleasant surprise managed to get both (ASX & X Graphics) installed and working except for one feature. For the "life-of-me" I can't seem to get the ASX screen to center on the plane in the Sim. It just stays at the initial setting location, usually the take-off airport. I can see the weather along the whole route when I expand the view, but it doesn't move when I zoom in closer with the plane location. When I click-on the box that says "Lock to FS Position" It does not stay centered on the plane location. An hour glass appears for a few seconds an disappears, no ch…

ASX is an excellent ptoduct, well done guys. For those of us that are trying to combat blurries and running tests, which frequently may mean deleting and re-building fsx.cfg; there appears to be some instruction in that file that instructs ASX graphics to it's "root folder". Are there some lines that we need to copy over to new fsx.cfg files that are pointing to the asx graphics files?Thanks- Bruce.

How can I obtain my key? It was lost in a system crash before I could back it up.The FAQ says: "Note that if you only need your license key for a reinstall, you can always receive it from your orders history!"All I could find in the orders history was my invoice. Can it be found elsewhere? Craigjjs

I have been running FSX since purchasing a new computer, with pretty good results (especially after SP1). I have a Quad core 6700 w/ 2 GB RAM, 1 TB secondary, 150 GB Raptor 10000 RPM primary, 2x 8800 GTX 768 MB cards, SLId, Vista Ultimate (only 32 bit). After installing ASX + X bundle, I was still getting really nice frame rates (20s), but now after about 1 hour of flying, the machine locks up. When I run FSX without ASX running, so far it doesn't lock up. I have gotten a couple of messages about running out of memory, but most times the machine just stops and I have to reboot. I reduced the traffic (air and ground, cut both more than in half from near 100%), and switched…

In asv6 the clouds are not high enough, there are never any thunderstorms above 33,000 and there aren't high overcast layers up into the 30's like there should be. So my questions is does asx simulate this?

Hi allGot a strange one here...about an hour ago I installed the latest DX9 update (June release) After re-booting I started ASX normally, with the intention of doing a bit of flying. During the loading process I got the error message you can see in the attached screenshot. i then did the following:Uninstalled ASX, re-boot, new install. no change :-(System rollback to before the DX9 update, re-boot. ASX uninstalled,re-boot, ASX reinstalled: no change :-(Thing is, last night it was running flawlessly, and apart from the DX9 update (thanks Bill), I haven't changed anything at all since yesterday. At the moment I'm a bit stumped, anyone got any good ideas?System specs are und…

Hello, Active Sky X recently started crshing every time I tried to start it. I've run a repair reinstall and complete uninstall and reinstall, yet the error persists. I'm not quite sure what is causing it, but any help you could give would be hugely appreciated. Attached is a picture with the windows error code and the point at which Active Sky crashes.Kind Regards,John

I have a question about the messages I receive in FSX once my free flight situation loads. First, let me say that I have both ASX and FSX running 'as administrator" on my Vista system.Okay, so once my flight loads and I am parked, I get one of two messages from ASX (I'll paraphrase): 1)Initial weather depiction complete! or 2)Weather depiction initializing. Please stand by.The first couple times I would get message #2, I would get a follow-up message a few minutes later indicating that the initial weather setup was complete, but most of the time I do not. The weather appears to match what I am seeing on the XGauge, so I am not sure there is anything wrong. But when I …

Hello Team - your worst nightmare here. I simply cannot get this prog to connect via SimConnect. Followed all the instructions but still get the unable to connect box. I use FSUIPC so I followed the instruction relating to that prog. and I uninstalled SP1 and then reinstalled it. I've jumped thro' every hoop presented but still never the twain shall meet. The issue is not network-based - I have another prog using SimC and this works fine. I suppose there could be some sort of conflict but I dont see it.I've been at this for hours now and am getting v. v. frustrated, Any ideas - which can be put into print??Bud

Hi everyone,First and foremost I'd like to congratulate HiFi for such a great product. I have the ASX-ASG bundle and the weather effects are simply amazing!Anyhow, back to my problem: Since I've installed ASX/ASG - I've had a strange problem which occurs when I'm at my cruise altitude and speed of about 20, 000 feet. I'm not sure if it is a weather effect or problem with the software, so I'd like some opinions. As my plane is flying at 0.78 MACH there are several sudden jolts throughout my flight which catapult my plane to 0.86-0.90 MACH in the blink of an eye, where I'd have to arm my spoilers or I get the message 'Aircraft Overstressed'. [my aircraft can also suddenly sw…

(great product by the way)but anyway of getting Cumulonimbus clouds looking (1) very tall and (2) Anvil like ? with "hard" sides ? you know the effect I meanwhile from below they are great - above - they seem a real no show ? Just look like tiny clouds - I'm probably doing something wrongalso over-cast - great again - in fact superb - nice dark base to it - realistic looking - but once you go above -it becomes almost completely sea-through - which spoils the effect completely.any suggestions - much appreciatedsee below for some screenies I was very impressed with :)thanks, Mark.http://www.mark-buckley.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/active0.jpghttp://www.mark-buckley.pwp.blueyonder.…
