Hello,When I close FSX, FSAutostart closes the started applications .This generates an error for ASX.Recommendations?

Hello Gang!As an FYI, some of you may have been aware of the issues I have been facing in trying to install ASX and GraphicsX since yesterday morning. I'm going to make this ver short, but Damian, Carl, and I have been working very hard in troubleshooting why in the world this program would not install in my machine. At the end of the day it came down to Windows Fonts. My Arial fonts must have been corrupted or something and the installation would not go through pat the XGauge thing. Apparently the font corruption prevented the installer from witing to my registry, causing the installation to fail. As soon as Carl sent me some good fonts, life was good. I've never b…

Looks like I may have a problem post installation of the two parts of the HiFiSim bundle...The install processes appeared to go OK with no error or warning messages.After making various config changes in the configurators, I attempted to start FSX...On start I get the following window... ___________________________________________________________________Security Warning - The publisher could not be verified. In the FSX forum, someone asked if thermals and ridge lift is modeled in ASX... are they? If not, I assume FSX's modeling of these is surpressed?

I'm getting back into flight simming after a long break, and I'm trying to update all my add-ons. I don't have FSX yet, so I'm still on Active Sky version 6. As I recall there were 4 or 5 service releases after AS6 was released. I noticed on the HiFi site that there is now an AS 6.5 update. What I'm wondering is, is this the only download I need to update my original version 6, or do I still need all the version 6 service releases before applying the 6.5 update?Thanks,Dan

;( Hi,I purchased, downloaded and ran the setup for the bundle. The setup seemed normal but did not install ASX, just X Graphics.What have I done wrong? I'm running ASX across a network using simconnect. I just started using ASX and it's working ok and seems to load the weather fine. However in the ASX log when it gets to "Starting Depiction Output to FSX" I get "Exception Received: 14" and it keeps repeating over and over.What does "Exception Received: 14" mean? I suspect it's some kind of error but I'm not sure what it is or how to fix it.Appreciate your help on this. Thanks.Ken

Will the graphics package work alone in X?.I have the deluxe version but dont use the SDK or multiplayer in the sim.Have AS6.5 loaded on the other HD,will it work with new package in X?

Hi, Damian, Chris, and the rest of the team:I "had" installed FSX SP1, but didn't install the SDK when I installed FSX originally.I installed the SDK, then installed SP1 for the SDK.Get SimConnect(SP-1) error saying it can't be used.According to Damian's Locked Thread I was to uninstall SDK SP-1 via Add/Remove Programs. Well, it's not listed there. So I uninstalled it using it's own uninstaller in its setup program, but there is no check box as was mentioned to check.Now I'm running the original FSX install and telling it to fix any errors, thinking that I'll reinstall SP-1 over the top of it once finished.But how can I verify that the right version of SimConnect IS insta…

Hi,It seems when the station reports CAVOK and don't have the usual 9999 visibility (maybe it never have in CAVOK?), then the station defaults to 10sm ~16000m which I think is too low. When reporting 9999 without CAVOK it creates a realisticly higher value (9999 meaning anything above 10km). Or is there any other factor that sets it so low in CAVOK?Also, is there a suppression range for stations changing weather as in ASV? In ASV when landing it changed directly to the "real" weather, now I haven't seen that.Overall it's a much smoother weather now. Only thing is I need to minimize the ASX interface, otherwise I see a big drop in frames. /Mats

HiCould some one please tell me what is the best way of selecting the AS graphics and saving them.At the moment I make a choice in the quick selection and save afterI have clicked through all the choices.I save it by choosing 'send to fs'Is this right or do I have to save each selection as I go through them.How do I save as theme and reload?Many thanks Qas

I am fairly new to FS9 and ActiveSky.As I understand from the instructions, I do the following1) Start activesky & configure it2) Enter or import a flight plan3) Start FS9 and position aircraft4) Wait a few minutes for the weather to update5) Take to the skiesSo far, so good?OK. My question is do I touch the weather settings inside of FS9, eg set it to realweather updates? Or do I just leave it all alone?Sorry if this is obvious, but I'm not 100% sure.

I have just installed Active Sky 6.5 on my system, and cant download the weather updates. I have Win XP SP2, with F-secure, and a D-Link DI-524 Router, I believe the problem to be related to either one or a combination of these applications/hardware. If anyone knows how to allow to configure these to allow downloading of the weather updates, it would be greatly appreciated.

I don't seem to be able to limit windshear. Flying at FL380 reaching the Australian continent over Broom, I get these winds all within 2 minutes, and of course MASSIVE windshear, regardless of the setting (tried 50,36,25 and 0%)249@61188220203330337197224063046053230020335020175all around magnitude 60-70 knots. This is hardly realistic. Hi all,I'm sticking with Active Sky since the first releases and, of course, yesterday I bought the X one (bundle version).a few things:- the weather and graphics (not only the cloud ones) are spectacular as always....- the new interface is easy and pleasant to the eyes....- and, believe me, this one is the most important: almost no fps losses, unlike Active Sky 6 with fs2004...and that's quite unbelievable....I've tried many different situations and the fps was quite solid.Thanks again! Today (while I probably should have been working) I finished the last 150mile leg of a single prop trip from Western Australia to South Australia (Cessna 172).With ASX and X Graphics running this was easily the most immersive flight *ever*. Descending from 9000 feet to intersect the landing approach was truly amazing - moving down through the different cloud layers to settle about 500 feet above ground and under a low, late afternoon overcast sky (as per the METAR) was an almost real experience.You've done a great job - this is *the* add on for FSX imho.
