Using Build 523, the processing weather parameters window does not go away almost all the time when first started. I have to quit active sky, load it up again, then load the flight plan again and it almost always works after that. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

I have, I hope, attached an image of the problem I have of parts of clouds being drawn visibly. As you can see the cloud edge is being drawn as a straight line, and it normally takes around 3 or 4 seconds to complete the drawing process. It only happens with the type of dark clouds shown here. It is not every cloud (by any means) that is drawn in this fasion, it's only the odd one or two.Can I thank you both for the program itself, and for the support that you give your customers. I've been fiddling with the settings of AS6 to try to get rid of the effect below - much complained and written about I think. Nothing seems to help. I laso get sudden changes in visibility as I descen/ascend (but that may be unavoidable in FS9?).What AS settings, if any, might help with this? Thanks.Martin

Hi Everyone!Now that the NDA for FSX beta has been lifted, we are free to let everyone know what the situtation is between ASv6 and FSX.In short, things are already working with ASv6 SU5 and FSX Beta 3+ coupled with FSUIPC 4 beta.Note that this does not include the original FSX Beta 3 (non updated to "3+"). So those who have FSX Beta may or may not have access to this "3+" update, depending on which Beta program you are in.The great news here is that by all indications ASv6 will be compatible with FSX upon release. I have developed a real problem with both programs. Unless I change FS 9 weather to clear weather prior to loading I will get a crash to desktop each time.This will occur even if AS6 and GE pro are not open. If AS6 is active and I clear weather As6 will load all settings into FS9 but will leave the sky clear regardless of what weather is loading. The weather indication bar is active and the altimeter setting will change but that is all. GE Pro has installed a texture set to FS9 per the opening screen but that is all we see.I have tried to uninstall GE pro but the loaded texture remain.Both programs are on a wide client.Thanks,Tom

Greetings.I bought AS6 a few days ago, but I'm having some problems while using it while flying Freight Dogs missions (which uses the FSCargo module, so I guess they are similar).Somewhere in mid flight Freight Dogs quits with the message 'The FS time has been altered. I thought I posted this but I don't see it. If it is a dupe, sorry.Anyway, I loaded up a new computer with all my flight stuff but I can't see to get AS to recognize flight plans created in FS Navigator. I was able to before with no problem, so I'm sure it's something in the initial setup. I can see the flight plan when I use the 'import' feature, but AS only now recognizes the departure point and the arrival point. I did read in the instructions that it's not necessary to load a flight plan to get the weather but wouldn't it produce a more realistic effect if I did?Thanks

I bought a new computer and got everything loaded. Only thing is, I can't seem to load FS Navigator flightplans into AS like I could before. I'm sure it's something in the initial setup. Right now, I'm just inputting the departure/arrival points and flying with 'online updates'. Can somebody help me load the flight plan?Thanks

Hi all,We all know those jagged edges at the limits of the FS9 visibility engine, all the more pronounced at high altitudes?I use Ge pro and activesky (most recent updates).Well, my solution is to set max visibility in the activesky settings to 29nm. Then, the fs9 max visibility setting in the display category to 60nm. Also, before loading a flight, I set the visibility in the FS9 WEATHER menu under advanced weather settings to around 30-40 miles and the top of the visibility layer to around 35-40,000 feet. I had not thought to ask about this, but when setting up weather with a flight with ASV 6 and then saving the flight midway through, what happens when one resumes the flight to the weather? Should one reopen ASV with same weather time and date first and then FS9 or ignore ASV altogether and just open the flight in FS9?Greg

ASv6 starts up automatically with Windows and then goes through an offline loading process (I do not use online mode). Which Wx file is it loading up by default? The main screen shows "Active wx: 1511502" at the top - but this doesn't relate to any wx foile I can find. What does that number signify?More importantly, how do I get AS to load up the offline weather data that I choose, as default at startup. As it is, when it has finished loading whatever it is loading at start-up, I then have to click 'Load Wx' and choose my own offline weather file. Hello,I wonder if there is a way to unclutter the amount of weather stations. I know that a high number of weather stations makes for smoother transitions between wx conditions en route, but in some areas (Washington D.C. for example) there are so many weather stations that updates take forever. When you start out on Ronald Reagan Intl it can take 5 minutes or more until the proper weather shows up at all. In that time I could be be well over the Atlantic Ocean already. That's why I'd like to sacrifice some transtion smoothness for quicker weather display in such areas. Is that possible?

Hey GuysI can't think of anything other than to say ASV6 has got to be the best thing since sliced bread and since the integration with GE Pro it's like having your bread baked frssh AND then having it sliced, buttered and served to ya at a moments notice.My question:I run two PC's main one has FS2004 and GE Pro the secondary runs ASV6, Sqauwkox, Servinfo via Widefs. The reason is the main one is a 3.8GHZ with 2 GB ram and a Raid 1 300 GB Sata array,the secondary is 1.3 GHZ wth 512 ram so I run GE PRo II on the primary so when I add/create additional textures it is much faster processing textures My question is there anyway I can get ASV6 to launch GE Pro in auto subm…

hello,A short while ago i became a member here because i purchased one active sky by credit card from justflight and sent cash to germany to simmmarket for the module and everything worked out fine.This weeck i received about 5 envelopes all the same from a company in the US claiming payment for the same transactions asking me to pay to which i did not reply and disposed of all 5 invoices.Today i received from the same company an email asking me to pay to which i replied saying i do not owe them anything and to refrain fron sending any more notices.has anyone been receiving same and what is the best way to terminate this new harassment,regardsamingaz

When I click on (GE Pro) on the ASV6 interface I get the following message. " Ground Environment Pro was not found which is required to use this feature " If anyone has had this problem I would like to know how to resolve it. It doesn't matter, if I am at my departure airport, airborne or at my destination.How's that possible? Keywords: windshifts wind ASv6After battling with constantly shifting winds during my Atlantic crossings, I finally found a solution.Disable Automatic Global Weather WriteApparently the pseudo stations are a bit to far apart and Global wx influence is confusing FS. The wind will therefore be going between GLOB wx and closest pseudo station, causing these constant shifts.You may also want to set Suppression Range to something over 200nm.Hope this will help someone enjoy their long haul flights across the pond.

Hi Damian. I am using FSAutostart and also using networked computers with widefs for AS6. Now i am having problems when using FSAutostart because the computers arent networking very well. Seems to work with FSInn on the remote computer but does like AS6. What service do you reckon that is shut down using FSAutostart that is required for AS6 to work properly in a networked configuration. ThxJack

Hi GuyS!I have changed the hard disk so i am installing everything again..I have installed ASV5 FULL PACK then soon after ASV6 but while active sky works i am not able to work ASV graphic.. When i click on it i have the following error:" application not correctly inizialized (0x0000135). Click on OK to close the application"...I tried to Un Install everything and install again but with the same result.. How can i solve the problem?Thank YouAlfredo
