Hello,I have read the document ""ASv6 and GE Pro Integration" and followed the steps. Everything seems to be working. GEPro (on FS machine) was able to read the METAR data from (ASV6 which is on the client machine).I did not install+save because the install button on GEPro said install and start FS.This may sound like a stupid question but I already had FS running (minimized). I started FS because I needed Wideclient to connect so the other programs, ASV, radar contact, etc could start.Per instructions I understand with WIDEFS setup you start ASV then GEPro afterwards. Can someone tell me after GEPro grabs METAR what is the next step AND should FS be running?

Hi everybody,I would like to have more inofmration about the setting "Force Sky" in ASV6 options.I undestood the difference between the two choice (GEPRO o ASG) but... in terms of visual results which one gives the best? Dear reader,I just bought ASV6 and am still trying to get my flight preparation flow correct. The first bits I saw so far are very promising.I have, however, encountered a first annoying problem.I start ASV6 and process a flight plan to get the local, intermediate and destination weather. ASG then submits the weather influenced textures to FS9.If I start FS, the splash screen is shown and FS exits.The work around I found, is to restore the original FS9 textures, start FS and only after this process my flight plan and have the textures submitted.As I think there should be another way to have FS correctly load without having to restore the textures first, I would like to as…

Hi all,I am using both AS6 and GE Pro, both installed on my main FS-PC. I am very happy with both programs - my flight sim experience is more ralisitic than ever.In the forums, I keep reading about putting both programs on a second PC.My question: Why should I do this? Does such a setup improve performance? If yes, how much? My first PC is an Athlon 3.700 with 2 GB Ram, the second would be an Athlon 3.500 with 1 GB.Thanks in advance for your comments.Hans

Hello,For any given reason the SU5 is not installing completely, whan comes the AS graphic part, as soon as it starts I have an error message saying: impossible to open peripheric or specified file. I am using active sky 6 and download the updates and now my build is 503...Is this the latest by the way?Anyway the question us i typed VTBD in "fetch a report" box and instead it starts showing wx for wrong location such as VTPH..VTUU etc...Basically the first row is wrong? Hey fellas,Ok i'm a little confused or it just might be me being stupid buti've just got GE PRO 2 and updated my Activesky. But i'm not sure how to go about what this integration is supposed to do.Heres what i think i should be doing and you tell me if i'm wrong.1) I install copious amounts of ground textures in GE Pro for all the weather conditions.2) I set the option 'Enable GE Pro Submit on new FP' in AS. Then3) I import a flightplan and load weather as usual in AS.4) I then press the GE Pro button in AS.5) Ge Pro does its thing and I load my saved flight.Is that correct? I don't have GE Pro in the default directory but it works properly. AV6 cannot find it though. BTW, GE Pro doesn't find Activesky either. I have only one PC, no WideFS installation. FS9 resides in D:FS9, GEpro in D:GEPROI presume this is a path problem, but in the registry all paths are properly registered. Any ideas?

I looked out my window today and saw that some thunder heads where rolling in and I said to myself that it would be a nice challenge to fly thought them.So I launched ASv6 and loaded a flight plan that would take me thought the brewing storm. I loaded ASGraphics and set it to WX influenced skies. Imagine my surprised when FS2004 launched and no clouds could be seen. What am I doing wrong? I've noticed that FS2004 automatically switches to 'user-defined' weather when in AS is running. Am I missing a setting?

Damian, once again I have to thank you and the entire developement team from AS and GE Pro for an outstanding update. You guys are making it harder and harder for me to give up FS9 when FSX is released. :-smile12

I had problems with ActiveSky 6 when it got stuck at calculating closest WX stations after I imported a flight plan.I tried reinstalling the latest service pack to no avail. What fixed it was deleting the INI file. However, since then, every time I start ASV6 either before FS starts or after FS starts I always get the following message:"AS has updated your FS wx station list file. Please restart FS if already running so new stations can be accessed appropriately."Is there any way I can fix this? Do I need to delete ASv6 and start over?Thanks.

Hi,I have in my setup my FS PC and a laptop with ASV6 installed using Widefs. My usual way of starting is run FS on main PC, then run ASV 6 on the laptop which then installs the correct weather.Now my question regarding the integration with GEPRO is this. If my FS and ASV6 is already running and I submit the textures for GEPRO to install into FS, these textures will not appear until I restart FS!!!This seems a little confusing, or am I not seeing the correct way to run the new version.Keith

GE Pro and FS are installed on a WideFS server machine. I have AS6 installed on the WideFS client machine. I have "Enable WideFS Integration Mode" checked in the AS options however AS cannot find the GE Pro installation on the server machine in order for GE Pro to submit the textures.What do I have to do to get AS to be able to find GE Pro? GE Pro is installed in the default directory. Do I have to create a Network path?Sorry if I miss the instructions for this somewhere.KenEdit: Never mind, posted too quickly as I found the instructions.

Hello Jim or DamienI have ASV6 on my widefs client and GE ver1.04 with Korbygen on my FS PC. I want to upgrade to GE Pro, but put it on my widefs client as recommended. My question is, The GE website from the link provided says that existing GE users can get the upgrade for $19.95. However if I go to upgrade and am on the widefs machine, it won't be able to see an existing version of GE when I go to install it if I purchase the upgrade version. Also should I uninstall the version of GE that is currently on my FS PC?Pretty confusing post I know. Thanks in advance

If I want to use Flight Environment for my sky textures, and I enable the GE Pro Submit on New FP, as long as the ASG Auto-Submit is turned off, the Force Sky option for ASG or GE Pro will be disabled, correct? That's how I read the doc for integration.

I have been using and enjoying Active Sky 6 for about six months and recently purchased the new Matrox Triple Head2Go box with an extra LCD monitor so I can spread MSF 2004 over 3 screens unfortunately all is working well except when I open Active Sky I receive an error message saying Microsoft Runtime C++ Error please contact program support etc so decided to unistall and re install Active Sky but to no avail it has returned, I wonder if it is due to running the program over 3 screens..... any help most appreciated

Hi all. If you decide to start the flight over and lets say change planes or such, do you refresh AS or not. It seems when I restart a flight from within the FS the AS weather does not come up.ThanksFlygirl
