Hello again. I have previously posted on this forum before regarding a missing Radar Module.Thanks to Jim (ActiveSky Developer and Supporter),this is now been rectified. Does anyone recommend or know any decent Lightening textures and sound files that works well with ASv6 program?.Because the default ones looks pretty dire along side the excellent ASv6 Clouds and Sky Graphics. Any feedback will be much appreciated. David

Did something change in the last build that stops AS6 from loading weather if FS9 is not started first. I use AS6 over FSwide and before I could start AS6 and FS9 at the same time. Then press the refresh button after FS9 finished loading and all went fine. Now if I start AS6 anytime before FS9 finish loading, nothing loads into FS9 when I press the refresh button. I have to completely shut down AS and restart it. To get it to load.Bill M

Hi, Enjoy these program much. I usually spend lot of time around Male the islands are beautiful(using Lago scenery) have had this since first released. I use Active sky real weather download and now all I get is gray, dreary weather, no sun at all. I try different months and still the same. This just start recently where as before, weather was beautiful. Any suggestins? Thank you.

Hello,I am a VERY happy user of ASV6, after having used AS5SE. I have been carrying out some tidying up of FS9 and have spotted in the Windows Add & Remove Programmes utility that the AS5SE cloud textures are still installed and are taking up nearly a Gb of space.I am unable to remove them as an error message appears stating that the removal process cannot go ahead as AS5 is no longer installed.Is there a way of manually removing the textures?Thanks in advance, all advice gratefully received.BestDave

Hi.I am having a problem with auto-submit. When checked, and ASv6 updates the weather it gives me the error: Auto-Submit step 9 - Could not launch ASG with command: D:Flight Simulator 9ModulesASGraphicsASG.exe -AUTO "Wx-Influenced" - Please run ASG Manually to enable auto-submits.Naturally there are no problem when auto-submits isn't checked, but it still give me this error, even if I run ASG manually though... Sorry to raise this again.I know there has been a lot of discussion about this already and I too have experienced the lack of display in the past.A reinstall worked but the fault came back.Every few weeks or so.It's happened again! This time with a new PC which is of good spec for FS9.I have been running AS6 for about a month now with no problems and all of a sudden yesterday and today-no precip-and there has been a lot about in UK.Are you any nearer finding out what is going on?I have read a lot of the previous posts on this topic and certainly the uninstall worked for me but it's a nuisance.I have the latest FSUIPC.

Hello!After I've seen all the high ratings of AS v6 I would like to purchase it. My only problem is that the pc i am running my FS on is not internet connected yet. I wanted to ask experienced users whether I can still use the AS v6 to customize my weather without downloading reqalworld weather from the internet or is internet connection absolutely essential.Thank you for your help!

After I installed ActiveSky 6, FS2004 fails to load. I uninstalled everything thinking it was a FS2004 issue, but after reinstalling ActiveSky the issue was back.I uninstalled ActiveSky and FS2004 works fine. What am i doing wrong?On a side note, does anyone else have issues with how slow this program runs?

I'm using ASv6 and I have read a while ago that you don't recommend using time acceleration together with AS. That makes sense if using realtime weather. If you set time acceleration to 4x then after one hour realtime your virtual flight is three hour in the future and of course you can't get realtime wether.But if I'm using archived weather and downloads the weather for four hours then AS have knowledge of the weather four hours in advance. Then could it not correctly update the weather in FS with time acceleration?

Hi,Forgive me for my impatience but I'm just curious to know if FSX yields any new features to be able to improve future versions of active sky? I think FSX now implements thermals and better visibility *layers* .. not transitions. I am still surprised to see no dynamic weather system that has been claimed since FS9. There's a #### of alot more to it than just changing cloud formations. I love active sky and for me, it's saved my interest in flight simulation.Steve

I've had AS6 for a while, and all was fine until recently when some of the graphics on the Active Radar interface have been corrupted somehow (see attached pictures).What should I do about this?

If I am using a stored database file to load the weather (i.e. I am not online), once I have loaded up this weather file and imported/processed a flight plan, can I then shut down AS6 (it takes up a fair bit of memory) or must I leave it running, minimised, whilst I fly?Thanks,Martin

Hi Hifisim team,I am unable to get ASVv6 build 503 to write it's weather files somewhere else than at the default location.I have a Wideserver/Wideclient setup and I use FSBuild for fuelplanning. Currently I run ASv6 on the Wideclient and FSbuild on the Wideserver. So to have ASv6 on the Wideclient write it's weather files to a location where FSbuild can find them, I changed the path in the "Default Weather File Folder" to point to the networkdrive on the Wideserver.But ASv6 still writes it's weather files in the same default location.Also changing this option to a non networkdrive, like c:temp, doesn't make a difference.What am I doing wrong?Thanks!Best regards,Robert-Ja…

I just recently upgraded to a shiny new dual core AMD 4800+ CPU and X1900GT GPU and was revisiting some of my performance and quality settings in FS, in order to maximize my new hardware.Do you guys use auto-submit of new cirrus textures for ASv6? I found that even on my system I got some stutters while it auto-updated, even though I have both throttling options disabled and am running on a dual core.Do you find this happeneing to you as well? ASv6 Updates very quickly and there is no performance hit at all during any of the update processes except for the auto-submit of new cirrus textures.Ruahrc

Hi, Just a quick question, is it possible to download weather for the whole globe in one download then turn off your internet connection and manage to see cloudsfor the whole route. Thanks to the pinned article at the top and Jim setting me straight when the brain faltered I have got all my applications/addons onto the laptop except one - ASv6 :-bang In the extremely useful article (would have got nowhere without that) it says 'During the installation in the ASv6 setup window that asks you to navigate to the FGS9 installation folder.....' but I don't get that window. I have bought all versions of AS and now I have a huuge dilemma. I had a massive crash of all my hard drives the other day and have lost all my backup stuff that was stored on a separate hard drive that was installed specifically to back up all my software.Is there any way I can download AS6. I went to my account on Hifisim but all it had listed there was ASV upgrade.Any help would be appreciated.Goran

A newbie question...How does one apend weather data into the FS build flight plan?

First I would like to say how great asv6 is and thank all of the talented professionals for bringing this product to us and providing some of the best support around. I have some constructive criticism for you guys to ponder. :) One thing I have noticed about asv6 is that there is room for improvement as far as turbulence is concerned. For example when flying below the cloud tops on a day with broken clouds and no severe weather the air should feel rather smooth, but when approaching the clouds and passing thorough the altitude at which the cloud forms (not neccisarilly even going through the cloud) there should be a few light bumps depending on aircraft size. Hello all,i got a problem with ASV6 and FSINN. I use ASV6 on a client PC and FSINN on the FS9 PC. The problem is, that the METAR is correct in both ASV6 and FSINN, but the QNH is different. For example, in ASV6 it shows QNH995, but in FSINN it shows QNH998 or something else.So, is it just me, who got this problem, and if so, how can i fix it? Hi, I am using the fantastic Tongas Fjords from Holger and the gang. I have a flight starting in Sitka. Temp. is listed as 14c. I hope this does'nt sound stupid: How does one know what temp is in everyday speak? 14c is actually 70 degrees? I am confused by this. Thanks.
