I have done everything I can think of. I have shared every single file I can find. Sim connect is running because when I pull up xguages I can control it from the client computer. The only prob I have is the FS Station database error. Active sky is basically not interacting with FSX at all.I am running FSX on a vista machine and I am networked to a xp professional. Ok this has happened to me like 5 or 6 times now. I'll be flying along in FSX SP2 with ASX SP3 on. It doesn't matter where I fly, what I fly, or when I fly. After about 15-30 min my aircraft is all of a sudden sent blasting skyward spinning towards the heavens. I get up to 120,000 feet in a matter of seconds, and the acceleration doesn't stop. It's like a someone strapped some rockets on to the aircraft. This started happening probably about 3 months ago. Before then I never had any problems like this.So how did I come to the conclusion that it is ASX? I always fly with ASX for one. Hello,I am using FS9.1. I have the original download of XPAX and the new SP.I had to reinsall my system - it was working. I have FS9.1 on my D: drive and I installed XPAX in the HIFI folder on my C: drive.I rteinstalled the XPAX after uninstalling it. When I start up the program, I cannot get around the FSX directory location portion. It will only terminate the program after it flashes the main menu on the screen. Up until yesterday I thought this was a hardware problem. Through a fluke I just realized that the freezing behavior does not occur when I forget to start active-sky.When this lock-up occurs the sound keeps playing (probably a loop) but the mouse, keyboard and display are frozen. The freeze lasts anywhere from a couple of minutes to ten minutes. Then the system just comes back to life right where I left off and runs for a time, maybe fifteen minutes before the freeze repeats. I'm not sure about the timing on these cycles, this is just a SWAG.How can I trouble-shoot/debug this for you? I'm running build 1160 of Active Sky X. I also have X Graphics build 298 installed…

For years I heard pilots sing the praises of ActiveSky but stuck with default FS9 weather.So I finally took the plunge and I'm not impressed and I'm hoping it is a settings issue.The biggest annoyance I am finding are the innaccuracy of its interpretation of METARS. Example:When flying at 8,000 AGL in an area with a METAR that reports OVC060, I would expect to see an overcast layer below me. Instead I see the ground plain as day.When flying in 10,000AGL in an area with SCT060 and OVC120 I would expect to see a scattered layer below me and a ceiling above me. Instead I see a nearly 7/8 broken layer below me and blue skies above.And right now I'm flying through an area with…

Hello Everyobdy I recently purchased the ASX ang The X Graphics For FSX. I have SP2 installed and im on a E8500 3.16ghz 2GB RAM NVIDIA 9500GT. I have Xpax, Captain sim 757-200 and the Level D 767-300 also I have FSInn Installed. The problem is that when I am on the simulator and ASX has chosen the graphics from XGraphics I get shimmering of the Sky Texture, Some times I get Shimmering Of Foggy to Cloudy. Also as I ascend Altitude the tempature raises from ground tempature to when i get to fl360 at +70 C when the shimmering occurs the tempature also changes from +70 to +54 or random.If theres is any Solution to this problem Please Tell Me.P>S I have updted all my progra…

Sometimes I marvel at Active Sky...I flew a GA flight just now, and ASX really made it challenging. A nice 550 nm flight in a Piper Twin Comanche at 7,000 over African desert was what I had planned. The weather briefing seemed OK, although I noticed an area of storm activity east of a point roughly halfway along my route, blowing west.Well, as I neared that portion of my route, I could see dense clouds building at my altitude, and that's when the turbulence began. It quickly worsened, and rain and lightning commenced. Good morning.I've been searching the forum for a solution to my problem, but have turned up empty handed. My problem is that I am simply unable to get any reduced visibility or any fog at all, no matter what METAR I enter. I only get a low cloud layer. Hey guys,Well I thought I had everything set up correctly with the simconnect and ASX but apparently I don't. When I launch ASX FSX says that ASX is connected and everything, however in the ASX says "Exception Recieved: 16" then it says "Problem writing weather values: Access to the path ...is denied" I have all the folders that says need to be shared, set up to be shared. Hi,after installing X Graphics yesterday evening and choosing default profiles for everything ALL airport buildings vanished, nothing left, lots of buildings outside the airports, but none inside, no single hangar and so on.Any ideas??Greetings Martin

I'll try and get a photo up to illustrate what I am getting.But in the meantime......at high altitude I get a thin, see-through "halo" cloud below the aircraft that travels at the same speed as the aircraft I am flying no matter what weather is loaded.The cloud is circular and only just bigger than the aircraft.Any ideas?

I'm getting this unatural looking haze layer that gradually dissapears as I gain altitude. Problem is this happens on every flight no matter what weather is being depicted. Any tips on how to minimise this effect? I'm also using FEX. Thankshttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/192820.jpg

When I refresh the ASv6.5, the weather should be most updated, but it's not the case. This is the METAR of VHHH (Hong Kong International Airport) from ASv6.5VHHH 281430Z 04006KT CAVOK 28/20 Q1007 NOSIGbut the time now is 1545Z now, it the update is more that 1 hour lateThe METAR of HK observation is updated asVHHH 1530 07007KT 9999 FEW035 SCT080 28/19 Q1008 NOSIG, which is most updated. Good day,I am running FSX on Vista.I recently purchased ActiveskyX,XGraphics and XPax. I have them all installed. No problems found yet.My question is this:Am I able to use all 3 programs at the same time? probably a stupid question, but, what I do not understand is this which program do use I to start FSX and have all 3 work as I fly?Is there an oeder in which I should open the programs to get then to all work at the same time?I hope my questions make some sense. Why are there options to refresh AI, etc.? What to the AI-related options affect in a weather utility?Very nice s/w, btw. One of the best FS9 investments out there. Really makes the program shine!

I get the SimConnect SP1 error when trying to run ASX on the same machine as FSX. I have uninstalled ASX and all of FSX SP's. I re-installed FSX SP1 and then SP2 and finally ASX. I still get the same error.Please Help! Thanks

I'm running a "border line" system for FSX along with RC, Active Sky and XTraffic and Flight Tracker. When I add in XPax it appears that my frame rates are impacted pretty dramatically. It helps somewhat if I turn off the XPax video.Am I correct in assuming that XPax is causing the frame rate drop? Is anyone else experiencing this?

Hello,I continue to have difficulties with ActiveSky on my new system. I load ActiveskyX normally. However, once I click on WX Config, ASX stops responding. It never recovers. I am running ASX on the same computer that FSX is running on.System Specs:Windows Vista 64bit, 2.4ghz dual core, 4gb ram, GTX9800 w/512 memory.The problem also appears when I try to load a flight plan. It takes an extremely long time to load (if it loads without an error). I also downloaded and installed file ASX-Update-B1161. No change in behavior. I have set it up on one of our test simulators and can control the weather from my laptop. Pretty cool!However I would like to run fsx on the client computer and on the "server" in multiplayer and affect changes in the weather simultaneously.Effectively I am looking to have multiple FSX "servers" weather pushed from one client.Thanks,Sean

Hi i am new to using ASX i have been using it for over a week now and i am totally in love with it except for one thing that is driving me crazy, the very noticeable wind shifts that push my aircraft from left to right vilantly. this sometimes knocks my flight off course.I'm flying the Default 747-400 i've heard i can stop the wind shifts from happening my disabling the winds aloft, but i dont wish to do this as this will make the flight sim un-realistic. Also would this not stop turbulance happening?i would be very greatfull if someone has a solution to this as its really driving me mad.
