Hi all. Just purchased ASX yesterday based on reading all the reviews and the feedback from users here. I'm a bit dissapointed at the moment as when using it my frames goes down to single digits and the stutters becomes more prevalent. I tried FSX without ASX and I get smooth frames again. I have the latest SDk installed if that's any help. It doesn't matter where I fly I get the same results. I even tone the cloud layer down from 3 to 1 and still made no difference.I've followed the intructions before installation which went without a hitch. Hi Jim,The AS wxRE server has been providing corrupted and/or unusable METARs for LGGG region (Greece), as it usually does every now and then in the past few years. As usual, with your intervention everything will get back to normal again.Thanks,Sotiris.

Hi,Hopefully someone can help. After using smart close to shut down all the extra stuff before using FS, when I open AS6.5 it says cannot connect to servers. I am wondering what it is I am closing that stops me from connecting to the internet. I am using symantec anti-virus, firewall, and windows defender. I never had this problem untill I installed this stuuf, to keep my computer safe from spyware which seems to ruin my computer every few months causing me to have to format reinstall and all that. What can I do, because clearly I can't run FS9 with this stuff going. AS6.5 works fine by the way before using smart close.Thanks,Jeff

Ive been gettin a few XEngine crashes the past couple of days. More then normal which is hardley any at all.Data getting corrupt by any chance??

There's gonna be a change in US TAF formats effective in November.Will the Active Sky products (6.5, ASX) still work correctly?

Hello,I was wondering if anyone can tell me if Active Sky 6 has an offset that tells FS when Active Radar is turned on and active. I have successfully assigned a GoFlight module button to activate Active Radar, and I also wish for the LED to light up when it is running. I have successfully done a similar thing with SquwakBox 3 using their offset x7B80.Jim

I load a flight plan and select weather influenced textures, and happen to like what I see. How do I save that texture set as a theme in ASG? Is it possible?Thanks...

I have never been able to cure this problemrunning asx on 2nd xp machine no network problems and fsx sees asx connected yet the winds aloft in fsx almost never represent those detailed in the briefing and i have tried all different settingsother weather settings like pressure and clouds tend to be ok, yet tyhe winds are no where near what the briefing says they should be?please dont ask me if i have the same problem if i run asx on the fsx machine because i dont run it on the fsx machine and dont intend tosome how the data from asx regarding wind direction and speed just does not filter through to the simkav

Hi I am having a very recent problem of when I am decending below a certain altitude into a particular location the weather engine stops operating i.e. altimeter sets it self to standard 2992 and weather temperature to 15 degrees celcius can someone please advice me what I am doing wrong here as I have not touched the options of Active sky ever since this has been happening, thanks.Rayek.http://i37.photobucket.com/albums/e62/ritz...tishAirways.jpg

Hi guys!I have an issue with ASV6.5! It doesn't show the actual cycle, when it updates, for example if we're on the 090030Z time it says that the active wx is 082230Z. Is that normal or is something happening on my ASV6.5.Thanks in advance for any useful answer!

Hi,I am using fsx with ASX, XGraphics. for ifr flights i am using radar contact as well. Registered version of fsuipc 4.28. however, i need to know is there a suppression (i hope this is the right word) area where asx is really starting to write the weather station info to FS, comparing of the area where aircraft is ? I`ve heard that in asv6.5 it can be changed ??Basically, the thing is that when approaching the airfield rc controllers will change the active runway many times because the weather is changing so often, i mean by changing it is coming closer that where it should be by asx. 60 miles weather is almost random, 30-60nm it is still way off but getting closer and …

I am sure this is only a setting problem but I do not know where to begin. If I start a flight it's in the muck and completely fogged in, lots of CB's and heavy rain. Once I climbed to above the cloud I can see the ground perfectly though as if there is beautiful sunny weather there. Any idea how to resolve this, if possible?

Hello All,After toying with FSX/ASX and FSUIPC and numerous searches on the wind shifting topics, I was wondering if anyone could give any pointers on what their settings are that work for them. Currently I am using FSUIPC 4.30 wind smoothing options (using 1 knot or degree of change every 5 seconds) and no wind smoothing options in ASX. I still get some heavy shifting, especially over the Atlantic Ocean and the USA. Coincidentally, I get no shifting over Europe. Hi All,I've just read through the blurb on the Hi-Fi website regarding Active Sky X and I have a couple of questions: -1, Presumably ASX replaces the 'real-world' (and also static?) weather system that would normally be generated by FSX? How is this done and how do you have to initialise it in FSX? Do you just change the weather setting in FSX to 'real-word' and everything is taken care of? Or does ASX just run in the background and everything is done automatically? I have no landing or taxi lights on the ground, I see them light up on the airplane body though. I am using the latest version of ASG, just purchased today. Also I have the latest nvidia drivers, no DX10, Vista 64bit. I have tried different landing light sets but none of them show the light reflect off the ground. Please help!Alex

Hi all, having a slight problem and I believe its XPAX, was using FT 737 PIC and thought it might be that because its had a tendency to being a bit temperamental, but have just started using PMDG 747x in conjunction with XPAX, and its always after I start taxing, after the safety announcement that the sim crashes, I'm using vista 64 and I'm aware this may be the issue. Hi All,Sorry if this question has been addressed previously but just purchased Active sky X.very pleased thus far, however I have a "problem" with the gauge,I open this up using the views menu in FSX, & the gauge appears as though it is stuck to the outside of the "front window" of the airplane.I fly with Dreamfleet Dakota & the centre "support strut" is in front of the gauge, is there any way to "bring the gauge "window" to the "front" so to speak???.Cheers all.Steve EGCC

Oh man - I am loosing the plot with this product. I really want it to work....I have FSX running fine - Acceleration with SP2. I have simconnect running OK (as far as I know!). I have set up my network shares as instructed and they are working.I have installed ASX and AGX to my client PC. AGX has backed up the textures over the network.Now my problem(s).1. I get no weather change. I set FSX to User Defined Weather. Run ASX - it downloads the latest weather. I fly and the weather does not reflect what ASX is indicating......2. ASX does not seem to pick up my Sim Time.3. If in WX Config I hit the apply weather button I get a popup saying Unhandled exception has occurred....…

Ok so im very close to being fed up with fooling with ASX. Seems like it was working fine with FSX, the latest ver of FSUIPC and Xgraphics. Now all of a sudden no matter what I have tried if ASX reports rain it does not rain in FSX doesn't matter where or when no rain period !!! I have reset my settings in ASX to default... Nothing, I have reinstalled sp3.. Nothing I have turned every option on and off in ASX... Nothing How difficult can this be ????
