Any problem with the WX servers today? Can't seem to connect primary or secondary. I thought something was going wrong when my TAT was -37 at 2000 ft at KPBI.

After thinking I had solved the crashing problem, up pops a new one...This time with the text: AppName: asa_exec.exe AppVer: 11.0.0.435 AppStamp:4a6a2b10ModName: mscorwks.dll ModVer: 2.0.50727.3082 ModStamp:492b82c1fDebug: 0 Offset: 001295ff Plus, this morning, 10am GMT, on a flight around the Grand Canyon KGCN, I had cloned clouds.One layer was copied on top of another and slightly shifted...Any help is much appreciated.Thanks,Toby

ASA works great for me; however, the new update patch seems to cause a "write error" on my new system. I'm not at that computer right now, so I can't give you the exact wording of the error. I deleted ASA from my Uninstall programs from the control panel, then manually deleted the HiFi folder. Then I reinstalled ASA without the upgrade patch, and all is well again.If you have heard of this, please tell me the fix - and I'll re-install the new upgrade.Thanks.Stan

I am using ASA with X graphics. When I enter a flight plan on the briefing page, ASA asks if I want to load a snapshot of the textures. Is this snapshot based on the weather along the route or is it based on saved snapshots?Thank-you.

First, I would like to congratulate the HiFi Staff for their superb latest Active Sky X prgram as I've been a loyal fan since Active Sky original.However, I wonder if any of you can help me with a small problem I'm experiencing with ASX, running on FSX. Despite that both ASX and Graphic X are running along fine, the problem is shuttering. When I'm flying, normally running at 25fps (Capped), I get shuttering every now and now where frame rate shutter between 10 to 25,normally when the ASX is processing the latest weather. I experience the Problem on my Flight from Amsterdam->Aberdeen(on Friday,24.07.09).Arround 80~90NM out of EGPD all Clouds disappear in a second.Local Supression Range is set to 200 Miles.EGPD Weather was reported:EGPD 241320Z 29009KT 5000 1500S R34/P1500 +SHRA VCTS FEW010 BKN015CB 13/12 Q1003 RESHRA RETS TEMPO 3000 TSRA.At arround 20 miles of the Airport the Weather kicks in again to match the Metar.FS9.1-ASA Build 433/Vista64BitRalf

Hi,ASA is not depicting surface winds correctly! For example, If i tune into ATIS, it will report winds at 240@54 KBOS which coincidently are my winds at 30,000 ft! For some reason ATIS will continue to report my aloft winds (winds at my current altittude) instead of actually giving me the correct winds at the airport I plan to land at. Even on decent ATIS will match my winds at my current altittude. As you can imagine this makes it impossible to plan which runway to land on as the winds are constantly shifting as I decend and prepare for final. I have been using FSX and ASX for a while now and I am starting to get angry about such a small bug.When I first start FSX I load the aircraft (pmdg MD11 normally) the airport (half the time LHR, London Heathrow 2008) and the date, always historical, normally around a month behind the current date. I then load the flight. I then start ASX - letting it run through all its initialisation processes.When I check the airport (I loaded) weather it does not agree with that, that ASX says should be loaded. Hi guys, just a quick question, flown through a couple of areas of reported nearby thunderstorms (within convective sigmets too) and don't really recall seeing many nasty towering cumulonimbus as I cruised, remember seeing them with ASV6.5, also as i remember ASV6 had an option to 'extend thunderstorm layers' up to about 20000 as i recall, ASA seems to have no such option. Just wondering what determines the cloud height and tops levels or if there's anything I can change to help this effect. I did check the FS9 written weather for one of the stations that ASA was reporting thunder storms at and it was showing thunderstorms 4/8 scattered but 'tops were at a dissa…

I was thinking of purchasing X- Graphics to use in conjunction with my PMDG MD11. Apparently X-Graphics affects the lights on this aircraft. Is there a fix for this problem?Andrew

Thankfully the link for B431 still works as I was getting good results with it. I upgraded to 433 and it doesn't work as well. I put in a flightplan and use VATSIM weather for my dep and dest as all my flying is done online. Initial depiction is fine but then it gets stuck with the weather at my departure point for the rest of the flight. Only after spending about 5 minutes at my destination (or on final approach) does the weather actually change to my destination weather. I can see what you're trying to do - you're trying to eliminate the sudden shifts , be it wind, pressure or temp. For me B431 had got it pretty much spot on (and no PMDG S-Turns either). I had Simconnect working perfectly with ASA across a network, then bad things happened and I'm close to throwing in the towel and returning to AS6.5 with FSX. I have FSX Gold Edition that includes Acceleration that includes SP2. Is this correct and will it work with ASA? If so, should SP2 also be used for the Clients? Thanks,Les Parson

I recently upgraded from ASX to ASA and have noticed 'on occasion' a problem between what ASA reports as surface temps and what is present in FSX. For example, last night I flew from KART (Watertown NY) to KCLE (Cleveland). Weather loaded fine when beginning my flight from KART (thunderstorms, 23C, 6 knts wind) but by the time I arrived in Cleveland ATIS was telling me the temps at KCLE was -6C. After landing, the aircraft OAT instrument was showing -6C as well. The ASA briefing screen was showing a temp for KCLE that was consistent with August weather in the NE USA. I had heard that DWC may cause ATIS to give aloft temps and wind so I had turned that off and I'm uns…

Hi JimI cannot get the QNH to show correctly at FAJSI start ASA, and wait for it to be ready, then I start FS9 and load Airport FAJS and default B734.I then sit and wait for ASA to complete wx depiction... but the QNH never updates, it just remains at 1013 standard as surpose to be 1025 atm.Any advice?ThanksJannie

I have seen many situations where the sun largely out (partly cloudy), and yet I'm in moderate rain. That doesn't seem quite right to me. Are there any settings I can do to help with this?Will the "force destination wx" checkbox help?
