The AVSIM Screen Shots Forum
Have a favorite screen shot of your simulator that you would like to share? You can by posting it here. Please follow image posting rules (below). Images must be hosted on an image hosting website. Please use prefixes to identify the simulator you are using (see pinned topic for guidance). Please include information about the screenshot(s) such as location (flight plan?), the aircraft, weather engine, scenery (i.e., Orbx/FTX, GEX, FSDT, FlightBeam, FlyTampa, etc.).
Screenshot Image Posting Rules
- Images must be hosted on your own image server site, such as Drop Box, Google Drive, Photobucket.com, OZx Image Hosting, or a website that you own. See guidance at following link - http://www.avsim.com/topic/479802-how-do-i-post-a-screenshot/
- Images can be of any size; however, be considerate of your fellow AVSIM members as large photos will take longer to load for some members who do not have fast Internet connections.
- Images will automatically be resized to fit the viewer's screen width. This process is done automatically by the AVSIM website program.
- No more than 20 images per thread (topic). Moderators will remove any image that exceed this requirement.
- AVSIM members are reminded of the AVSIM Terms of Service in respect to images, and copyrighted and intellectual property. Images that violate our policies regarding copyrights and family safe environment will be removed and, depending on the severity of violation, user suspended or banned from AVSIM.
- Images copyrighted on other websites such as Airliners.net are not allowed and will be removed immediately.

Taking the ANT Tecnam Seasky / Eaglet out for a fly in Canada to Buttle Lake. Scenery is Orbx combined with Terra Emergence Project and its trees. Spray effects are from Precipit. Rex Direct Textures with Softclouds plus ASN provide the weather. Bit of Tomato Shade and ReShade thrown in there as well. Autogen Vegetation density slider is extemely dense, plus also have, [TERRAIN] TERRAIN_MAX_AUTOGEN_VEGETATION_PER_CELL=6000 The weather was so poor the GTN Taws got a real workout. Cheers :-)

Blast from the past, on training flight out of Area 51.... I love the starkness of the Nevada desert, it has a peaceful, unspoiled beauty that only scorpions and tarantulas could appreciate.. John

Justflight's Duchess is a great platform for flying up the Rhone Valley, towards the Matterhorn. The vistas in Aerofly's FS2's Swiss scenery, combined with the Orbx free autogen and Justflight's Duchess, are astounding.... Saw the Matterhorn in real life once, in 82, and was blessed enough to have clear weather both days I stayed at the renowned climber's base, the Hotel Seiler Monte Rosa. Funny hotel, my bathroom was almost as big as my bedroom and one could soak in the tub with the window open, looking up towards the Alps... John

A huge thank you to iniBuilds for this DL patch: They have updated a bunch of our favorite airports. They also did a patch for Split X and it makes the airport work perfectly in P3D v4.5 These guys are awesome!

I first went thru the St. Gotthard, via rail tunnel, in 1977 on my way from Milan to Luzern. I went thru it in the other direction via road tunnel, the longest I have ever been thru, in 1984 from North to South, on my way to Venice from Luzern. Last, i flew over it in a Lufthansa 737, in both directions, on a business flight from Frankfurt to Bologna and back in 1995. The southbound Lufthansa flight was funny. I flew from Phoenix to Pittsburgh, then Pittsburgh to Frankfurt on a US Airways 767, one of my nicest flights ever. While waiting with a massive case of jet lag, since I rarely sleep on airplanes, I was in the departure lounge to Bologna when out of my blur…

I found an old folder with P3D pics in it so I thought I'd share some. here's a shot of me landing (or about to) at YMAY I think it was (Orbx Australia). I don't know if I ever shared these clouds and sky but I know I shared something similar at Oz (most likely gone now) it looks good to me. your mileage may vary.

I have to love the way this sim renders the sky and its aircraft.... It's Vegas recreation is the best, in my opinion, of any sim.... And its photo scenery is well done, with little texture variation and the sharpest textures I've seen, outside of Google Earth. I think this sim shows what Microsoft's next sim will do if it incorporates Vulkan like Aerofly FS2 does..... Hats off to Aerofly for their labor of love, and the entertainment it has added to my suite of three civilian sims and two combat sims (DCS World and Wings of Prey) John

The Cerro Torre and Fitz Roy, located at the border of Chile and Argentina, must be two of the most spectacular mountains on earth. This scenery for XP11 was created by Frank Dainese and Fabio Bellini and is available at the org. This scenery sits on top of my Orthos for this area. I take off from El Chalten, an airport created by Frank close to his scenery As soon as you are airborne, you are greeted by spectacular mountain scenery. But let the pictures speak for themselves These last two pictures I like especially Thanks for viewing

The Wiki for Antonov-124 opens with this impressive reference (to the B747-8F), "...Until the Boeing 747-8F, the An-124 was, for thirty years, the world's heaviest gross weight production cargo airplane and second heaviest operating cargo aircraft, behind the one-off Antonov An-225. The An-124 remains the largest military transport aircraft in current service....". That sums up the nature of this Russian heavy aircraft. A long while ago, I'd posted an entry for An-225 (An-124's successor - six years younger than An-124, but ~50% heavier, and actually world's heaviest (operational) aircraft), and I recall folks, here, commenting on its immense proportions, along with …
