The AVSIM Screen Shots Forum

Have a favorite screen shot of your simulator that you would like to share? You can by posting it here.  Please follow image posting rules (below).  Images must be hosted on an image hosting website. Please use prefixes to identify the simulator you are using (see pinned topic for guidance). Please include information about the screenshot(s) such as location (flight plan?), the aircraft, weather engine, scenery (i.e., Orbx/FTX, GEX, FSDT, FlightBeam, FlyTampa, etc.).

Screenshot Image Posting Rules

  • Images must be hosted on your own image server site, such as Drop Box, Google Drive, Photobucket.com, OZx Image Hosting, or a website that you own.  See guidance at following link - http://www.avsim.com/topic/479802-how-do-i-post-a-screenshot/
  • Images can be of any size; however, be considerate of your fellow AVSIM members as large photos will take longer to load for some members who do not have fast Internet connections.
  • Images will automatically be resized to fit the viewer's screen width. This process is done automatically by the AVSIM website program.
  • No more than 20 images per thread (topic). Moderators will remove any image that exceed this requirement.
  • AVSIM members are reminded of the AVSIM Terms of Service in respect to images, and copyrighted and intellectual property. Images that violate our policies regarding copyrights and family safe environment will be removed and, depending on the severity of violation, user suspended or banned from AVSIM.
  • Images copyrighted on other websites such as Airliners.net are not allowed and will be removed immediately.
  1. The Milviz is well-known for the quality and authenticity of their SIM aircraft. And, their F-86 is one such wonderful plane to fly and experience. However, because of my "un-justified" inclination to not (frequently) fly military aircraft (And, I do own a few good ones...), I had completely forgotten that I'd indeed purchased the MilViz F86 nearly 5 years ago, but have not touched it in as many years (except, maybe, once or twice right after purchase). Today, in my Archive, I spotted it, along with its competent (and, may I add, rather "humorously" written) User Guide. It was great pleasure to just go through that document! It states: "We know that there are those o…

Flying Ant's great payware LSA, a very nicely priced 152 style aircraft, but in the LSA category. This flight was from Santa Rosa, CA in Sonoma county down to the San Jose metro area, which is quite nice for the Bay mudflats, San Francisco, Oakland and San Jose scenery.... Ant's aircraft default GPS is a Garmin 296, all one needs in an LSA.... John

  7. Thanks to the time and skills of AVSIM member Enko here she is: A Western Global MD-11, pictured at Shanghai. An excellent repaint. It seems patience pays off; I think I posted a request back in March or so. A polite bump up the forum each month and here we are. THANK YOU ENKO! According to Western Global's site, they have visited Shanghai, and also Perth. To that end, I going to take this big girl on a flight between the two places and of course post up some screenies too

I love this new sim, the fresh look and the stunning performance. It has a simple interface, not a lot of bells and whistles, but fun flying.... I had been meaning to get it but needed room and got it by moving P3DV4 to my SSD drive and installing Aerofly FS2 on my hard drive in the space left vacant by P3DV4. John

Due to many reasons, the Russian Aircraft, from the aviation perspective, are always fascinating, primarily because they have been, generally, not so well-known in the Western world - until they (gradually) started appearing at many Western airports (to the delight of Aviation fans and observers) - e.g. the largest and heaviest, the Russian An-225, has been a regular visitor to many (foreign) ports of call on cargo and humanitarian missions. The one memory that lingers in my mind, was the impressive sight, from an observer's viewpoint, of an (approaching) IL-76, with its distinctive smoke trails behind it. The Russian aircraft have their own unique interesting characteris…

Showing off two inexpensive payware aircraft, VSkylab's Gyroplane for Xplane11, and Ant's Eaglet for P3DV4 and earlier sims. Both locations are Nirvana for me--Napa, where I was raised, and Neuschwanstein, near Fussen Germany, the inspiration for the Disney castles and also prominently featured in the movie "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang", a song of which was always a crowd pleaser during my Gospel choir's concerts when I was a young boy and teen. We were based out of Napa and included secular, as well as sacred music, for our concertgoers. I have an mp3 of a vinyl album we recorded made by Jeff Smith, our secular guitarist and always the favorite of all of us. He sang many…

In Italy, there is a stretch if you fly east from Bolzano where the Alps just grow in majesty, as you pass Cortina and approach the Austrian border. This part of Italy is bilingual, much of it, with signs in German and Italian and the two cultures blend there in Tyrolean gaiety and humor, as I have often witnessed traveling thru the area. I remember when two girls from Bolzano were flirting with me and my friend, a policeman, and asked us for a kiss--me a bit too shy to kiss them, thinking they were just teasing us but they actually meant it. Being Italian I knew it best, lol, not to marry an Italian girl, I'd feel like I was marrying my sister, so I married out of tha…

Although Fresno Air Terminal is the closest airport with airline service into Yosemite, for simmers, Mariposa airport is the closest. From there, one simply flies E/NE, inbound to Yosemite. I prefer flying in an aircraft like the Drifter, since once you are over Yosemite valley it is a great platform for screenshots and VFR flight, plus it has the "ooomph" to make it over the high country east of the valley. In real life I was only in the park once, in the late fall, so the tallest waterfalls were not working. I hiked there, parking my car, and remember the deer ten feet away from me looking at me, and me looking at them. Fortunately I did not get kissed by them…
