Have a favorite screen shot of your simulator that you would like to share? You can by posting it here. Please follow image posting rules (below). Images must be hosted on an image hosting website. Please use prefixes to identify the simulator you are using (see pinned topic for guidance). Please include information about the screenshot(s) such as location (flight plan?), the aircraft, weather engine, scenery (i.e., Orbx/FTX, GEX, FSDT, FlightBeam, FlyTampa, etc.).
Screenshot Image Posting Rules
- Images must be hosted on your own image server site, such as Drop Box, Google Drive, Photobucket.com, OZx Image Hosting, or a website that you own. See guidance at following link - http://www.avsim.com/topic/479802-how-do-i-post-a-screenshot/
- Images can be of any size; however, be considerate of your fellow AVSIM members as large photos will take longer to load for some members who do not have fast Internet connections.
- Images will automatically be resized to fit the viewer's screen width. This process is done automatically by the AVSIM website program.
- No more than 20 images per thread (topic). Moderators will remove any image that exceed this requirement.
- AVSIM members are reminded of the AVSIM Terms of Service in respect to images, and copyrighted and intellectual property. Images that violate our policies regarding copyrights and family safe environment will be removed and, depending on the severity of violation, user suspended or banned from AVSIM.
- Images copyrighted on other websites such as Airliners.net are not allowed and will be removed immediately.

A bit of flying in California USA and finding my way through clouds in the trusty A2A C182 (trusty only provided it's kept maintained that is). The A2A C182 is a great plane to fly, load it up with passengers and cargo and it handles very differently to just a single pilot and can be quite the handful to fly. And it you don't do the walkarounds and neglect maintenance it's just as likely to fail (see end pic...) Found a gap! And into it I go And out the other side. Lack of maintenance on a A2A accusim aircraft can result in falling out of the sky!

Baku is the capital and largest city of Azerbaijan, as well as the largest city on the Caspian Sea and of the Caucasus region. Baku is located 92 ft below sea level, which makes it the lowest lying national capital in the world and also the largest city in the world located below sea level. BTW, I noted that Baku (UBBB) Airport is, however, at an elevation (AMSL) of 10 ft. The Baku airport is a combination of modern architecture along with an authentic touch of the country's and city's rich heritage. Now, regarding the many aircraft, we come across, here, in our SIM, the type of aircraft, is, of course, of great interest, but the skin (= livery & registration) of…

Flying over the SF Bay and Pt. Reyes in the C90 in AeroflyFS2, for those who do not see the tag or item prefix. I use the tool in this link to convert my Xplane11 PNG's and Aerofly FS2 BMP's to jpg. I find they are easier to place on Imgur and load faster here in the screenshots forum. It is a fast and efficient offline image converter which I highly recommend for those of us who post images here: https://sourceforge.net/projects/bulkimageconver/ John

I do love Xplane11's default European scenery, although my London scenery was enhanced with a free London Landmarks package. Some pics of the Ercoupe in the desert, and the Mustang from London City to Shannon where I did a "Harrison Ford" and accidentally landed on a Taxiway..... John

Justflight's Duchess is a great platform from which to view California's secret mountain Paradise, the Trinity Alps.... Loved by hikers, fishermen and swimmers for decades, they are worth a visit and are N/NW of Redding. AeroflyFS2, with its wonderful default Photoscenery, is a great VFR platform for viewing this beautiful scenery.... I feel AeroflyFS2, with its superior rendering speed and Vulkan support, is probably the best sim here for VFR flight, although I still adore Xplane11 and P3DV4 for their study level add-ons and weather engines, so one should never count those two baddie sims out! Found this great freeware Marauder at Rikoo and I would be remiss if I did not include a link to it and the free Quebec City scenery also on that site... Quebec City https://www.rikoooo.com/downloads/viewdownload/68/484 B26 Marauder https://www.rikoooo.com/downloads/viewdownload/52/880 I was in Quebec City first, on my second business trip ever in Montreal in 1990, the day before I flew home my client gave me the day off so I could visit Quebec City during winter carnival, a real treat to see if you have never been there, they also have one in Harbin China but I have never been there. I was in Guam in 1992 and two weeks earlier I did not kno…

"It is a period of civil war. Rebel spaceships, striking from a hidden base, have won their first victory against the evil Galactic Empire. During the battle, Rebel spies managed to steal secret plans to the Empire's ultimate weapon, the DEATH STAR, an armored space station with enough power to destroy an entire planet. Pursued by the Empire's sinister agents, Princess Leia races home aboard her starship, custodian of the stolen plans that can save her people and restore freedom to the galaxy....." Edit: Centauri once told Alex, "May the luck of the Seven Pillars of Gulu be with you at all times." from the movie "The Last Starfighter" a great movie to watch if you h…

The rest of my Falcon 50 flight from Napa to JFK, which was flown in real time, although I had to pause the sim last night for a mandatory crew rest, lol, and so the Langoliers would not catch up to our flight.... The flight begins over Pennsylvania with Lake Erie in the distance with views of Scranton and Manhattan on the way in to JFK on vectors for 13R. 13R is the first runway I ever landed on at JFK, on my first trip to Europe in 77, roughly 50 years after Lindburgh's crossing, well just a bit short of the 50th anniversary of that crossing, which was on my birthday about six weeks after I returned from Europe via Munich/Vienna/Shannon/Gander/JFK and Dallas on my…

Today, in the Freeware Hot Files List, the "What-If" (Brown, Green, Blue) exterior colors of this historic WW II German Aircraft caught my attention. This aircraft was proposed to be a replacement for the famous, but obsoleted, Ju87/Stuka. Notice its oversized and elongated engine nacelles, due to the peculiar design of housing the main landing gears within the nacelles. Please find, below, two images for each paint - gears extended. Curious facts worthy of Note: Lead Designer of the (German) Blohm & Voss range of aircraft, was Richard Vogt. During later part of his life, while at Boeing, he investigated the effect of the length and shape of wings on the flying range,…

AeroflyFS2 with the free Vegas lights add-on and the Robinson R22, which makes for a great sightseeing platform. Were it not for the help of Hiflyer here, I would have never gotten the gobs of free scenery like the Las Vegas lights set up properly. Although AeroflyFS2 defaults to Onedrive, space is limited there for scenery add-ons unless you subscribe. But AeroflyFS2 has a hidden feature which allows you to add scenery to a secondary drive instead, by editing its main.mcf file. Enjoy Vegas at night, one of the cities that never sleeps, like New York, London, Rome and Paris.... John

Anyone who has seen the movie, will appreciate the escapes when we actually get to our islands of reflection and relaxation ..... That is the heaven that aviation offers, vacations to exotic locales..... There is still a lot of sim earths left to Explore. The Scenery is free Martinique scenery for Aerofly FS2 with a free airport add on. John

I've owned the Flysimware Learjet 35A for quite some time. Recently the aircraft received an extensive texture/sound/PBR and overall upgrade. If you don't like reading reviews but you enjoy quality addons, I'd go to the Flysimware store and purchase this right away! It supports a myriad of addon avionics units (I'm running dual Reality XP GTN 750's). Other options are both Flight1 and RXP GNS430/530 units along with F1 GTN as well. There is also a standard "default" GNS from Flysimware. I've read there is a "Pro" version of the Lear coming later with FMS and perhaps a EHSI/PFD. If I'm not mistaken the FMS will have VNAV. I believe it's based around the Universal F…

Next stage of my Ant Tecnam Seasky Canada flight - Pender Harbour by Orbx. Enjoying flying the ANT Tecnam Seasky float plane, this time some screenies from the freeware Orbx Pender Harbour Seaplane Base (CAG8). Truely some developers go for an amazing level of detail above and beyond that needed just for flying over an area and I just had to showcase a portion of it. (Note the bike riding avatar is part of a non-Orbx scenery package). Cheers

I don't recall such products being on the manifest, but then again I did take off from Beijing, bound for Perth, and the Aussies do have a cracking sense of humour... Approaching HK at about FL390 IIRC. Ahh.. I'm going to miss the old Checkerboard approach... Far less dramatic approaches to be had here.. Turning away on a more southerly course. Thanks for looking.

Flying from Zweisimmen near GStaad to near Interlaken.... I was in Gstaad only once, in 1982, on my way from Luzern to Geneva. Sadly it was cloudy while I was there, so I did not get to see much until we descended from Gstaad towards the Rhone Valley in our motorcoach, then we broke clear of the clouds. John
