The AVSIM Screen Shots Forum
Have a favorite screen shot of your simulator that you would like to share? You can by posting it here. Please follow image posting rules (below). Images must be hosted on an image hosting website. Please use prefixes to identify the simulator you are using (see pinned topic for guidance). Please include information about the screenshot(s) such as location (flight plan?), the aircraft, weather engine, scenery (i.e., Orbx/FTX, GEX, FSDT, FlightBeam, FlyTampa, etc.).
Screenshot Image Posting Rules
- Images must be hosted on your own image server site, such as Drop Box, Google Drive, Photobucket.com, OZx Image Hosting, or a website that you own. See guidance at following link - http://www.avsim.com/topic/479802-how-do-i-post-a-screenshot/
- Images can be of any size; however, be considerate of your fellow AVSIM members as large photos will take longer to load for some members who do not have fast Internet connections.
- Images will automatically be resized to fit the viewer's screen width. This process is done automatically by the AVSIM website program.
- No more than 20 images per thread (topic). Moderators will remove any image that exceed this requirement.
- AVSIM members are reminded of the AVSIM Terms of Service in respect to images, and copyrighted and intellectual property. Images that violate our policies regarding copyrights and family safe environment will be removed and, depending on the severity of violation, user suspended or banned from AVSIM.
- Images copyrighted on other websites such as Airliners.net are not allowed and will be removed immediately.

I took the stunning Nemeth Sikorsky S-76 for a short hop around the beautifully picturesque new Tioman Island scenery by PILOT'S. If you like tropical island scenery and a very challenging approach, this is a must have! The weather was pretty gloomy on the way out to the offshore island heliport, cleared up though for the journey back. There was even a moving lizard on the tarmac when I returned! Tioman is about 100 miles north of Singapore and is known for excellent scuba diving. The airport is considered to have one of the most dangerous approaches in the world, due to often adverse tropical weather conditions and the approach not offering any go-aro…

FSX NOTAM: Just seeing if ILS Inspector would change the ICAO code of Jorge Chavez (Lima) from SPIM to SPJC and thought I may as well do a cargo flight to try it out for "real" . "Objects in mirror may actually be huge!" Turning on to course. In the cruise. It's going to be a night time landing. An atrocious landing. Well, a bounce followed 5 seconds or so later by the landing!! . There was a crosswind and a moment's inattention..and I cannot blame the F/O.. The firefighters were getting a bit anxious! Enjoy.

I was scanning the Hot files list today (on FlightSim.com). And, here, below, are five images that caught my attention. Enjoy (and visit there for further details). Piper PA-28 Cherokee - [The Cherokee was first introduced into Service in 1960, and, after nearly 60 years, it is still in production (32,777 units built).] Junkers Ju-87 Stuka - [This is the famous "inverted gull-winged" Ju-87 in the unique "Desert Snake" repaint.] HMS Victory - [This is an 18th century tall ship, completely wind driven. Launched in 1765, and after 241 years' service as of 2019, it's now preserved as a museum ship at the Portsmouth Dockyard, England.] Orbis DC-10 - [O…

[Note: In the SIM, whether we like to fly the heaviest iron or the lightest bushplane, it's easy to love the Piper "Cub" (or, at least, to have a soft corner for it). Imagine an aircraft that was built for a period of only 9 years (1938-1947), but the demand for it was so high (as a trainer for new pilots) that, at one point, one Cub was being built every 20 minutes, and a total of more than 20,000 were built during this short period! So, here below, is a bit of my notes about this plane including 20 (SIM) images of it. Hope you enjoy.] The origin of the "Cub" (J-3 Cub implied here) is somewhat curious with its forefather being the Taylor Cub which was built by the T…

Finally picked up this bird....I shouldn't have waited so long, it's amazing. It has a wonderful "feeling" of flight when flown by hand. It's relatively quick (approx 170-180 ktas), it's agile, and it has a full platter of instruments for VFR or IFR flight. (sorry the gtn650 is blank, got it working after a reboot) Scenery is Ortho4xp and GPB500's F70 French Valley airport Untitled-2 by Ryan Butterworth, on Flickr Untitled-1 by Ryan Butterworth, on Flickr Untitled-3 by Ryan Butterworth, on Flickr Untitled-4 by Ryan Butterworth, on Flickr Untitled-5 by Ryan Butterworth, on Flickr Untitled-6 by Ryan Butterworth, on Flickr Untit…
