The AVSIM Screen Shots Forum
Have a favorite screen shot of your simulator that you would like to share? You can by posting it here. Please follow image posting rules (below). Images must be hosted on an image hosting website. Please use prefixes to identify the simulator you are using (see pinned topic for guidance). Please include information about the screenshot(s) such as location (flight plan?), the aircraft, weather engine, scenery (i.e., Orbx/FTX, GEX, FSDT, FlightBeam, FlyTampa, etc.).
Screenshot Image Posting Rules
- Images must be hosted on your own image server site, such as Drop Box, Google Drive, Photobucket.com, OZx Image Hosting, or a website that you own. See guidance at following link - http://www.avsim.com/topic/479802-how-do-i-post-a-screenshot/
- Images can be of any size; however, be considerate of your fellow AVSIM members as large photos will take longer to load for some members who do not have fast Internet connections.
- Images will automatically be resized to fit the viewer's screen width. This process is done automatically by the AVSIM website program.
- No more than 20 images per thread (topic). Moderators will remove any image that exceed this requirement.
- AVSIM members are reminded of the AVSIM Terms of Service in respect to images, and copyrighted and intellectual property. Images that violate our policies regarding copyrights and family safe environment will be removed and, depending on the severity of violation, user suspended or banned from AVSIM.
- Images copyrighted on other websites such as Airliners.net are not allowed and will be removed immediately.

I never flew much in the Carib, because XP11's default is soooooooooooooooooo bad...BUT...look at the Carib now...at Freeport in the Bahamas! This is the latest version with HD Global textures installed. For $30.00 folks, this shows XP11 default the door, and kicks butt! In this package, you pick up custom autogen that is specific to the region that you are flying in...home achitexture, colors...etc, and the forests are also custom and included, world-wide. I was running with Orbx's TerraFlora, but I really like his newly reworked trees, now featured in the update. So...I am now using Mr. X6's for non Orbx region depictions. This scene has the newly minted for…

[Note: I've always found the so-called Milk-Run flights of Alaska Airline rather fascinating...so, here is some of my collected notes about this unique mode of air operation - along with 20 SIM pictures.] We have heard of the term "Milk Run", in connection with Alaska Airline. Below are (two) definitions of it: Milk Run refers to the daily circuit of Alaska Airlines flights that hop between towns in Southeast Alaska, serving as a lifeline for the communities that aren't always connected by roads to the outside world. Milk Run is a delivery method in logistics which ensures that different deliveries from different vendors can be handled with maximum capac…

Ok, ok, maybe I should explain the title, before confusion kicks in or you get upset with me. I’m not talking about ORBX vs. the upcoming MSFS; that doesn’t exist yet for us to purchase. I’m referring to the superb ORBX True Earth Northern England for XP11 vs. Microsoft’s Forza Horizon 4 (FH4), an excellent car game (at least for me), that lets you drive and/or race around the North Eastern part of Scotland (or what MS thinks is the NE part of Scotland), with Edinburgh at its center. I like both a lot, XP11 and FH4. FH4 comes with 4 seasons. This little (did I say odd?) comparison covers only a small part of Edinburgh, but it shows, how well the ORBX scenery’s…

Out of Oakland. This is the Nor Cal HD version (195 GB) Ooops, that was close 😊 Very impressive, I have to say Ok, ok, I know, what you want me to do now. Problem is, the cockpit windows aren’t the biggest ones, so visibility is pretty compromised. But I guess, when I stay at the level of that ship’s bridge in front of me, I should be fine Made it 😊 Yeehaa!! Thanks for viewing

These pics may be too dark, and converting them to jpeg loses their resolution a little. If you can see them, then excellent! Ready to go at LFPG. A bit of moonlight picks out the shiny metal bird. Getting vectored for the ILS RWY3L at LGAV, somewhere to port 😉 Nice & straight, minimal crosswind. Touchdown.

Landing AI wasn't possible at the new Digital Design Tivat Airport. Now, they got an curved approach to Rwy 32 like in real life, together with some minor changes. I Love my AI! It's so empty without. This Aiport looks fantastic, well done Digital Design!!! - and the approach is a lot of fun! Thanks for watching Urmel

In my earlier post on Swissair, I'd made a reference to the MD-80. The MD-80 was introduced into commercial service on October 10, 1980 by Swissair. It was the second generation of the DC-9, originally called the DC-9-80 (also to be later known as "Super 80" or, affectionately called "Mad Dog"). When first introduced, the MD-80 was one of the most fuel efficient commercial airplanes in the sky. The DC-9/MD-80 Series has served as the "workhorse" of numerous world-wide operators' airline fleet for more than 40 years, before being (lately) replaced by more efficient versions of other twinjets. This post illustrates the Super 80 in a "hybrid" (TWA-AA) American Airlines liver…

Good morning, everyone, A few images are often more telling to introduce our small team whose primary goal is to bring the history of Swiss military aviation back to life through our flight simulators: Our first success was the Morane D-3801, a French fighter built under license in Switzerland during the last World War... : Today, our team consists of four members: a "conductor" former militia pilot of the Swiss army; a technical manager, former mechanic on all Swiss army fighter aircraft; a developer for the entire aircraft modeling (myself); a developer for all the scenes of the aerodromes rebuilt as in the past. …

Point of order: Can the phrase Mad Dog be applied to the mighty MD-11 or is it just the preserve of the MD-80? Thanks. On the ramp at SPJC, Lima's main airport. Note the extension of the nose leg; she's not been fuelled or loaded yet. Reaching for the sky.. Snow on the Andes. Clouds over Cuba. Touchdown on RWY30, KMIA Taxiing to one of the west area cargo ramps. Cheers!

[Note: I'm flying, today, the JF's Tristar that I do not recall having flown in recent memory...And, btw, if you're interested in this (illustrious) plane but don't own the SIM (and also have not totally curtailed your SIM investments in anticipation of MSFS2020!), both CS and JF, I just checked, now have FSX/P3D4 compatible versions - they've likely added these in recent times (CS has one exclusively for P3D4, and JF's Professional Version, which I don't own, is FSX/P3D4 compatible - please check on their websites).] In our SIM, there is an irresistible fascination for three-engined jet aircraft (or "Three-holer" as they have come to be known). A "Three-holer" plane…
