Screenshot Image Posting Rules
- Images must be hosted on your own image server site, such as Drop Box, Google Drive, Photobucket.com, OZx Image Hosting, or a website that you own. See guidance at following link - http://www.avsim.com/topic/479802-how-do-i-post-a-screenshot/
- Images can be of any size; however, be considerate of your fellow AVSIM members as large photos will take longer to load for some members who do not have fast Internet connections.
- Images will automatically be resized to fit the viewer's screen width. This process is done automatically by the AVSIM website program.
- No more than 20 images per thread (topic). Moderators will remove any image that exceed this requirement.
- AVSIM members are reminded of the AVSIM Terms of Service in respect to images, and copyrighted and intellectual property. Images that violate our policies regarding copyrights and family safe environment will be removed and, depending on the severity of violation, user suspended or banned from AVSIM.

In these modern times, while crossing the oceans, in the modern airliners, (whether as PAX or as Pilot - myself, of course, speaking as PAX), we get to experience the Jet streams (the westerly (west-to-east) wind currents typically observed above 30,000 ft) that can significantly reduce our time of travel compared to the reverse direction. For example, in a flight from New York to London, the (westerly) Jetstream can contribute in excess of 100 mph of (free) speed! And, historically, it's also well-known that the Golden Age of Flight (the inter-WW period: 1919-1938) created some of the most phenomenal examples of aviation heroism and endurance, often by single (or du…

If one examines the Wiki for Antonov regarding the (prolific) range of aircraft that the (formerly known) "Antonov Design Bureau" has produced (and continues to produce), it's quite impressive and fascinating! Their aircraft designation sequence seems to contain nearly all serial numbers (from "2" to "225") starting from the tiniest An-2 Annushka (NATO reporting name: "Colt") to the gigantic An-225 Mriya (NATO reporting name: "Cossack"). [Side Note: BTW, the NATO names, by themselves, are rather interesting. How about, "Tu-154 (Careless), Tu-134 (Crusty), Tu-124 (Cookpot), Su-25 (Frogfoot), MiG-21 (Fishbed), and An-24, here, is (Coke) etc."?). The Antonov aircraft are of …

Xplane11's default scenery, out of Revelstoke headed west in the Alpine vista's of British Columbia's Canadian Rockies. There is a mountain in Revelstoke we called, in 1972 when I was there on my professional Secular/Gospel Choir's first Canadian tour, called "Mt Seven" because its glacier (which may have melted due to global warming) made a perfect seven. Me and my choir mates had a blast on our tour, it was the last tour which I did with one of my brothers, David (RIP 1959-1992). Our church where we were performing did not get the message we needed a piano, so we had to obtain one from a store. The Canadians saw us "Crazy Americans" as we drove with the piano…

A really quick flight from Bakersfield to San Luis, CA in the always incredible Flysimware Lear 35. Superb paint by @scottb613! If you don't own this product yet, you should. PBR exterior, stunning interior and lovely hand flying plus F1 or RXP GTN/GNS options. The best payware bizjet for ESP sim to date. Also flown online at Pilot Edge so I didn't have the best angles to take... but enjoy nonetheless! I came across an interesting article about the Merrill Field Airport (PAMR) in Alaska, located one mile east of downtown Anchorage (PANC). The airport has (among its 3 Runways), a special (2000 ft) gravel Runway (5/23) that caters to airplanes with tundra tires in the summer and skis in the winter. Anchorage being a major city, it can be understood that, there is demand for such a special runway in the vicinity of the city for emergency landing of such (equipped) planes, e.g. those originating from the interior parts, on emergency medical airlift missions. Prior to this, in winter, landing had to be carried out on one of the nearby by lakes, in the Anchorage region, such …

The Iconic LSA, the Flight Design CT, which is faster than a 172 and has more interior room up front, arguably the fastest, most efficient LSA ever made, even faster than the Allegro 2000 I took my Light Sport Lessons in. VSkylabs is up front when it comes to Ultralights and Microlights and experimental aircraft. The Flight Design aircraft is a certified, not kit built aircraft with a Rotax four stroke engine up front, quite smooth in the air, most of my flight hours have been spent with Rotax two and four stroke engines, but also some Continental engines. When I read here on Avsim about the new FSFS 2020, many people hope that the scenery is good enough so that we can discover new places with scenery that looks somewhat realistic without the repetitive landclass tiles or cities, where we are for example faced with streets and railway tracks running across buildings. Should you have X Plane, part of this is reality already now. It is called Ortho4XP and gives us the world to explore in photoscenery. Well, at least in theory, because 1. We would need a lot of disc space to download the entire ortho world and 2. Not all of the world is feasible in X Plane, because of the quality of the tiles. I have trie…

The aircraft is a free add-on for AeroflyFS2, the ducted fan Edgley Optica, meant to be a fixed wing substitute for a helicopter with its superior and big views out its windows, you can see straight down when flying in it, almost like an ultralight. John
