The AVSIM Screen Shots Forum
Have a favorite screen shot of your simulator that you would like to share? You can by posting it here. Please follow image posting rules (below). Images must be hosted on an image hosting website. Please use prefixes to identify the simulator you are using (see pinned topic for guidance). Please include information about the screenshot(s) such as location (flight plan?), the aircraft, weather engine, scenery (i.e., Orbx/FTX, GEX, FSDT, FlightBeam, FlyTampa, etc.).
Screenshot Image Posting Rules
- Images must be hosted on your own image server site, such as Drop Box, Google Drive, Photobucket.com, OZx Image Hosting, or a website that you own. See guidance at following link - http://www.avsim.com/topic/479802-how-do-i-post-a-screenshot/
- Images can be of any size; however, be considerate of your fellow AVSIM members as large photos will take longer to load for some members who do not have fast Internet connections.
- Images will automatically be resized to fit the viewer's screen width. This process is done automatically by the AVSIM website program.
- No more than 20 images per thread (topic). Moderators will remove any image that exceed this requirement.
- AVSIM members are reminded of the AVSIM Terms of Service in respect to images, and copyrighted and intellectual property. Images that violate our policies regarding copyrights and family safe environment will be removed and, depending on the severity of violation, user suspended or banned from AVSIM.
- Images copyrighted on other websites such as Airliners.net are not allowed and will be removed immediately.

I've been busy today. The Seabee has been in the paint shop! I've got some of the basics for repainting down, such as changing an existing colour and placing stickers, but the more complex stuff eludes me such as designing a livery from scratch.. Hence my requests to AVSIM painters now and again So, here's G-PHIB. I realise the Shaggy & Scooby would love to take a flight, but at least the loud scheme will be noticed out on the water! Incidentally - I have absolutely no idea at all why that Airbus is taxiing out to 5L with the cargo doors still open!! "HEY, CHOCK! WHERE ARE YOU MATEY?" Enjoy!

[Note: I caught-up a bit with the FS2020 forums/news, and it does seem like some exciting things are on the way! We'll see. Anyway, around here, it seems a bit quiet...and, I've been thinking of a post on "Swiss" for a while, so here we go, with what I've so far....] The Swissair (airline and livery) has always caught my fancy since my earliest days of SIM...and, in our SIM, there is no shortage of Swiss Airline planes and repaints (FW & PW)...exemplifying its popularity. And, of course, the airline has a rich history, of its own, on par with some of the the oldest operating and most prominent European Airlines. Swissair's two genetic constituents were establishe…

Carenado's H850XP is a nice plane to fly in our SIM, but, I recall flying it just once nearly a year ago...so, today, I thought of enjoying (and sharing) another flight with it... This plane is the culmination of what's regarded as the world's longest-running corporate-jet program (DH-125 -> HS-125 -> BAe-125 -> Beechcraft Hawker 800). The 800 Series embraces the unique heritage of 5 different manufacturers: (1) De Havilland (DH) (2) Hawker Siddeley (HS) (3) British Aerospace (BAe) (4) Raytheon (5) Hawker Beechcraft (HBC). The root, DH-125, one of the world's first and most successful executive jets had first flown in 1962 (Side Note: The Lockheed Jetstar (a…

In my earlier post on Sail Ships, (member) Bernd had alluded to a key historical event that some of the well-known Sail Ships, originally built in Germany, in 1920s/1930s, (mostly) by the famous Blohm & Voss Shipyard Company, were eventually transferred to other countries following WW II (as war reparation). This post illustrates 5 (pilotable) Sail Ships, out of which the first 4 make up a group of (identical) sister-ships (currently adopted by (and residing in) 4 different countries). Gorch Fock II, shown here, is a three-masted ship, built in 1958 in the construction sites of Blohm & Voss of Hamburg, to replace "Pamir" which was lost in 1957 (see Side Not…

This quirky, versatile little bugger is on sale from Dovetail on Steam (£5.99) so I thought what the heck. (Republic RC-3 Seabee) IRL there's nowhere to really play with it in the UK in floatplane mode, apart from Scotland of course! The Lake District "should" be ideal, but someone saw fit to slap a 10 mph limit on them all... Enjoy! To boldly go... although technically it's missing a "C"

Here she is in rainy Miami (it happens now and again ), waiting to depart early the next morning. Taxiing out - at least our departure runway is just to the left. However, note that you should always use a longer runway if one is available! Made it though.. Climbing out through the bad weather to catch a glimpse of the sunrise Approaching Cuba Out over the Caribbean.. Somewhat later in the journey, over the vast, relatively flat South American continent (flat compared the Andes!) Our route means that we will cross over the Andes SSW and fly down…
