The AVSIM Screen Shots Forum

Have a favorite screen shot of your simulator that you would like to share? You can by posting it here.  Please follow image posting rules (below).  Images must be hosted on an image hosting website. Please use prefixes to identify the simulator you are using (see pinned topic for guidance). Please include information about the screenshot(s) such as location (flight plan?), the aircraft, weather engine, scenery (i.e., Orbx/FTX, GEX, FSDT, FlightBeam, FlyTampa, etc.).

Screenshot Image Posting Rules

  • Images must be hosted on your own image server site, such as Drop Box, Google Drive, Photobucket.com, OZx Image Hosting, or a website that you own.  See guidance at following link - http://www.avsim.com/topic/479802-how-do-i-post-a-screenshot/
  • Images can be of any size; however, be considerate of your fellow AVSIM members as large photos will take longer to load for some members who do not have fast Internet connections.
  • Images will automatically be resized to fit the viewer's screen width. This process is done automatically by the AVSIM website program.
  • No more than 20 images per thread (topic). Moderators will remove any image that exceed this requirement.
  • AVSIM members are reminded of the AVSIM Terms of Service in respect to images, and copyrighted and intellectual property. Images that violate our policies regarding copyrights and family safe environment will be removed and, depending on the severity of violation, user suspended or banned from AVSIM.
  • Images copyrighted on other websites such as Airliners.net are not allowed and will be removed immediately.

  2. With the new PMDG NGXu from EDDS Stuttgart to HEMA Marsa Alam. Really nice, this aircraft looks fantastic (Repaint from AVSIM) and is really fantastic. Flight X3 6528 EDDS - HEMA, TUIfly Start: JustSim / Digital Design EDDS (looks great, only some minor thing's I'm not happy with) via ORBX LDDU Dubrovnik Airport (fantiastic, updated ADE available - look in my signature) via Digital Design LYTV Tivat (really - WOW - GREAT - WONDERFUL - also an updated ADE available) via FlyTampa LGKR Corfu (must have! - updated ADE available) via FlyTampa LGAV Athen (I love it - updated ADE available) via FSDG LGIR Heraklion (it's quite old, b…

  4. Although I love flying VFR on Orbx's NZ-NI/NZ-SI, I do not have any detailed airports, in my SIM, for these two islands. So, I supplemented my NZ-NI with 2 new airports (NZWR Whangarei and NZGS Gisborne - from Orbx SALE). Below are a few sample images from part of my trip lifting off from Whangarei en-route to Gisborne (after a banking right turn). The plane is my recently acquired Carenado ATR-72 (which I'd mentioned (and shown a shot of) in one of my earlier posts). These two airports, here, are historically significant from the perspective of New Zealand's discovery and explorations. Gisborne's Kaiti Beach (east of the city center) is the place where British navig…

It was payday so I treated myself to a couple of FSDG airports which are known to be visited by the odd MD-11 freighter now and again. Here's a teaser screenshot just after installation (Carenado Commander, no MD)

  8. Olympic Airlines never flew an A380 (the largest commercial airliner by capacity) nor the An-225 (the largest aircraft in the world by weight, length and wingspan). But, in our SIM there's no shortage of "fictional" (or "virtual") liveries, and, actually, they add a bit of eccentricity to our hobby! As follow-up to my earlier post on Olympic Airlines, I was exploring further a bit the "actual" vs. "fictional" aircraft liveries for this airline, and I came across these two aircraft. So, to wrap up the recollections of this classic Airline, please find, here, below, two "what if" scenarios...Olympic liveries on Wilco's A380, lifting off from Seattle (KSEA), and on Tom Ruth'…

  15. It's rather cloudy in Athens, but we'll soon leave that behind and below. Good, initial rate of climb - only 50 tons on board. Turning on to course. Powering into the night on mighty wings. A not inconsiderable tailwind component tonight. Lined up for a visual on RWY30R at OMDB. Well, the tower said visual, but they didn't specifically say NOT to have the ILS dialled in... :) Touchdown. I do believe I nailed that big girl right on the centreline for once! Time to check out, rest up and prepare for the next leg to Bangalore (Bengaluru), India Cheers.

  16. [Note: Today, I caught up (lot more) with the news and excitement of FS2020! That all seems like fabulous stuff and surely bodes well for our future, starting in about a year (or more) time, meanwhile, of course, we rethink redirecting our resources (time and money) towards new HW/SW to match FS2020 (my moderate system chugging along, just fine, on FSX-SE, will not do!). However, while waiting and deliberating on it, this holiday season, it'll be probably a shame if we not only continue to enjoy what's already "in-hand" in our respective SIMs, but also, possibly acquire some favorites, from what's on offer in the market (such as, maybe, a couple of new aircraft, that we h…
