The AVSIM Screen Shots Forum
Have a favorite screen shot of your simulator that you would like to share? You can by posting it here. Please follow image posting rules (below). Images must be hosted on an image hosting website. Please use prefixes to identify the simulator you are using (see pinned topic for guidance). Please include information about the screenshot(s) such as location (flight plan?), the aircraft, weather engine, scenery (i.e., Orbx/FTX, GEX, FSDT, FlightBeam, FlyTampa, etc.).
Screenshot Image Posting Rules
- Images must be hosted on your own image server site, such as Drop Box, Google Drive, Photobucket.com, OZx Image Hosting, or a website that you own. See guidance at following link - http://www.avsim.com/topic/479802-how-do-i-post-a-screenshot/
- Images can be of any size; however, be considerate of your fellow AVSIM members as large photos will take longer to load for some members who do not have fast Internet connections.
- Images will automatically be resized to fit the viewer's screen width. This process is done automatically by the AVSIM website program.
- No more than 20 images per thread (topic). Moderators will remove any image that exceed this requirement.
- AVSIM members are reminded of the AVSIM Terms of Service in respect to images, and copyrighted and intellectual property. Images that violate our policies regarding copyrights and family safe environment will be removed and, depending on the severity of violation, user suspended or banned from AVSIM.
- Images copyrighted on other websites such as Airliners.net are not allowed and will be removed immediately.

This is Part Two of our trip from Kingston, Jamaica, to Ponce, Puerto Rico. This segment after our fuel stop at Toussaint Louverture International Airport in Port Au Prince, Haiti. We plan to reach Ponce in time to catch the final day of the annual festival there. I will post more about the festival on below if we get there in time. Off of Rwy 10 at Port Au Prince, leaving the city and Port Au Prince Bay behind. We actually got a better look at the bay, though distant, this afternoon as the weather cleared up somewhat during our stop here for fuel. Of note: I always fly with real time weather (FSGRW) and my screenshots depict that. Would love to t…

I purchased this addon (boy I've been spending some money lately even with MS2020 looming LOL) just a few hours ago. I put it through its paces online at Pilot Edge, mostly doing some "first flight" work (something the test pilots at Cirrus, when I was in Duluth, would do with the first plane out of the shop - fly patterns, make sure avionics work, flight controls, power settings etc etc). Then I took her up to cruise altitude for some more airwork, checked out the included JPI engine monitor gauge (a nice piece of avionics!), worked the AP and Garmin G5 glass a little bit. After an hour or two I can say this is a lovely addon. It seriously reminds me of the old RV7/A…

Those that know me know my first introduction into being a professional crew member was a Flight Engineer on the C-130 in the Alaska Air National Guard. The Herk is hands down the most impressive airframe I have ever had the privilege to operate. Every once in awhile I get a bug to fly the old bird and the past few days hasn't been any different. I updated my Flight! GTN, installed Simuflys CIVA INS for all my Class 2 needs, installed my TSS Soundpack, installed the TIT gauge for more accurate cruise and climb performance, and painted a Lynden Livery just for good measure. I'll upload it to Avsim in a bit for those that might want it. Unfortunetly I'm not having muc…

VARIG was the first airline founded in Brazil, more than 90 years ago, in 1927, until it (actually the "new" Varig, a component of the (broken-up) original Varig) finally merged with GOL in 2006. So, these two airlines span the spectrum of Brazilian aviation for a full century. The (GOL) company's name is native version of the English word "Goal" (as in football/soccer). VARIG was founded on 7 May 1927 in Porto Alegre, by Otto Ernst Meyer-Labastille, a German aviator, who had immigrated to Brazil in 1921. The first aircraft of VARIG was a ten-passenger Dornier Do J Wal flying boat (see the first image below). The actual aircraft, named Atlântico, was also the first a…

It was certainly worth the wait. A beautiful scenery with outstanding performance: Tropicalsim's SBGL fits nicely! I predict that Sean will agree. 😀 A true masterpiece. Kudos to Paolo for his constant and never ending pursuit of perfection.

Was enjoying a nice East to West flight at the lower end of New Zealand South Island. It was a flight picked up from the previous evening with the plan being to hit the West Coast and continue North, admiring the view and landing at random. Then the right engine suddenly cut out, a first for myself where I've lost an engine in a twin (when I was trying not to). Killed plenty of engines in singles (by not watching engine settings), but I thought I was doing OK with this one. Made a sucessful landing @ Milford Sound (NZMF). Cheers So much varied terrain in NZ It's nice flying over the NZ mountainous regions, especially when there is p…

For this post, today, I installed >20 (easily-found) TUIfly repaints into my 737NG-800WL, quite effortlessly, thanks to the PMDG Op Center working magically, as ever, with my good-old PMDG 737NG, a SIM I've not flown in nearly 6 months, but is always a great pleasure to return to (it works fine still on my system, with a couple of caveats, of course)! This Part II of the account shows 15 images (all PMDG 737NG-800WL). Hope you enjoy this sample as a celebration of all the vibrant colors that is typical of TUIfly Airline! Also, worthy of note, TUIfly Belgium's 737 fleet have interesting names (imprinted, in large text, across the fuselage) such as follows (an examp…

A really atmospheric scene at EDDM this morning, as baggage is loaded onto G-EUUE before it's departure as BA947 to EGLL. FSLabs A320, REX SkyForce 3D with Matt Davies' default PTA preset, Taxi2Gate EDDM with iniBuilds dynamic lighting and GSX config files. Sometimes, P3D looks really rather nice. 🙂

Ramp crews unload Rouge 1504 after flying YYZ-YQM for my inaugural flight with the FSLabs A321. I can sum up my first flight with a quote my favourite Christmas movie since it's that time of year: "It's a beaut Clark it's a beaut!"
