The AVSIM Screen Shots Forum

Have a favorite screen shot of your simulator that you would like to share? You can by posting it here.  Please follow image posting rules (below).  Images must be hosted on an image hosting website. Please use prefixes to identify the simulator you are using (see pinned topic for guidance). Please include information about the screenshot(s) such as location (flight plan?), the aircraft, weather engine, scenery (i.e., Orbx/FTX, GEX, FSDT, FlightBeam, FlyTampa, etc.).

Screenshot Image Posting Rules

  • Images must be hosted on your own image server site, such as Drop Box, Google Drive, Photobucket.com, OZx Image Hosting, or a website that you own.  See guidance at following link - http://www.avsim.com/topic/479802-how-do-i-post-a-screenshot/
  • Images can be of any size; however, be considerate of your fellow AVSIM members as large photos will take longer to load for some members who do not have fast Internet connections.
  • Images will automatically be resized to fit the viewer's screen width. This process is done automatically by the AVSIM website program.
  • No more than 20 images per thread (topic). Moderators will remove any image that exceed this requirement.
  • AVSIM members are reminded of the AVSIM Terms of Service in respect to images, and copyrighted and intellectual property. Images that violate our policies regarding copyrights and family safe environment will be removed and, depending on the severity of violation, user suspended or banned from AVSIM.
  • Images copyrighted on other websites such as Airliners.net are not allowed and will be removed immediately.
  1. Started by Dominique_K,

Some fellow simmers have given up P3D after looking at the FS20 screenshots . No way that they can get the same level of immersion, they say ! I respect that , to each their own, and I am very much looking forward to Asobo's baby too but browsing old screenshots of mine,it seems to me that P3D with the right addons is no slouch in the immersion department ! Some examples below, all screenshots in P3Dv3 with ASN, Orbx sceneries, Pilot's mesh and A2A aircraft except if otherwise stated. Leaving Darrington Landing into a remote strip in PNG Ofu (OrbX Pago Pago scenery) Eastern France (I think) Propiano …

Just a few more to show that P3D is not that bad, even if FS20 looks gorgeous. The Missouri and Mississipi on a the same pic, after a take off from a field which was Lewis & Clark starting point. Saint Louis on the horizon. Barcelonnette in the French Alps ( scenery and livery by me) Above the highway in Texas. I sure won't miss the leopard skin terrain . Still a nice flight. PNG, this one is a toughie to land, even with the slow AN-2 Approach in Kodiak Final approach in Las Vegas

  4. [(This post has been in the making for a bit)....If you're a Cargo Airline enthusiast/pilot (in the SIM or RW)...I know there are such folks around here...it goes without saying that you're attracted to the UPS livery, whenever you happen to get a glimpse of it (in the virtual or real sky). While living in Chicago, I often, used to catch e.g. the UPS MD-11s gliding across the overhead sky (unmistakably (bold) black and white livery along with the 3 (big) engines to boot...). So, I hope you enjoy this account, below, and if not, at least, the images, below, of the (Aerosoft) Douglas DC-8, here, flying the virtual skies in a classic UPS livery...] The (old) retro liver…

Another shot at it (pun not intended). I do believe that FS20 is going to be another big step into the right direction but I do not agree with those discarding P3D as a bland sim. We don't start from nothing, P3D is already recreating rather nicely some landscapes. Eastern France/ Germany border region OLC EU. The landclass is not so bad, hey ? a closer look Alaska (we still to have any Alaska shots from FS20 btw, just sayin') PNG

  11. Checking out of the new DC Designs F/A-18 in P3D for a review on my youtube channel. Review might possibly be up tomorrow (depends on the sponsor) but in the interim, here's a few screenshots of me doing some day traps onto the SimWorks Studios CVN 72 USS Abraham Lincoln. I knew all those hours playing Jane's F/A-18 and Super Hornet and watching Flight of the Intruder would come in handy one day... Wave off: Good one: First wire instead of the third, but down safe:

  13. Good evening, here are some shots from a flight HTKJ - HBBA - HUEN with the TDS 727. All sceneries are (of course!) by Emmanuel Mwandosya, who brought us some of the finest freeware sceneries für airports in Africa that weren't covered by add-ons so far. Kibo summit above the clouds: Approach to Bujumbura: Contemporary architecture: Before take off from Bujumbura, we have to wait for a very interesting visitor from Angola: Some smoke: Lake Victoria: Whole crew doing their duty: Finally Entebbe: I hope you liked these... 18. Occasionally, on the spur of the moment, one tends to make an extra couple SIM purchases (usually that happens to me during the year-end-sales), but, then one loses track of one or two of those SIMs...so those aircraft or/and scenery remain dormant in the hangar (or, more correctly, in our hard-drive), until, to be discovered, at a later time... Today, I found these two, below, that I'd happened to collect sometime during the end of last year, but had completely forgotten about: Latin VFR KSAN Wilco Tecnam P2006T So, today, I installed both into my SIM and did a trip from KCEC airport, near Crescent City (CA), (up near the CA/OR border), flying down…

  20. [Today, in the Freeware Library, I found an updated Ford Trimotor, one of my favorite (vintage) planes....hence, the trigger for this post...!] Transcontinental Air Transport (T-A-T) was an airline founded in 1928 that merged in 1930 with Western Air Express to form what would eventually become the TWA. So, TAT was one of the genetic roots of the (iconic) TWA airline. I recall TWA well, because, in the 90s, I'd chance to fly several domestic flights (as PAX) on TWA's 727 trijets. Between 1960-2000, TWA had owned and operated nearly one hundred 727s (-100/-200). (Side Note: TWA name and identity would disappear, on December 1st, 2001, acquired by American Airlines. Th…
