The AVSIM Screen Shots Forum

Have a favorite screen shot of your simulator that you would like to share? You can by posting it here.  Please follow image posting rules (below).  Images must be hosted on an image hosting website. Please use prefixes to identify the simulator you are using (see pinned topic for guidance). Please include information about the screenshot(s) such as location (flight plan?), the aircraft, weather engine, scenery (i.e., Orbx/FTX, GEX, FSDT, FlightBeam, FlyTampa, etc.).

Screenshot Image Posting Rules

  • Images must be hosted on your own image server site, such as Drop Box, Google Drive, Photobucket.com, OZx Image Hosting, or a website that you own.  See guidance at following link - http://www.avsim.com/topic/479802-how-do-i-post-a-screenshot/
  • Images can be of any size; however, be considerate of your fellow AVSIM members as large photos will take longer to load for some members who do not have fast Internet connections.
  • Images will automatically be resized to fit the viewer's screen width. This process is done automatically by the AVSIM website program.
  • No more than 20 images per thread (topic). Moderators will remove any image that exceed this requirement.
  • AVSIM members are reminded of the AVSIM Terms of Service in respect to images, and copyrighted and intellectual property. Images that violate our policies regarding copyrights and family safe environment will be removed and, depending on the severity of violation, user suspended or banned from AVSIM.
  • Images copyrighted on other websites such as Airliners.net are not allowed and will be removed immediately.

  10. Started by ryanbatc,

I purchased this aircraft knowing mostly what would work (and what wouldn't). The price is okay for a addon of this category (I'd say a light-medium). It says for P3D v4.4 and up....though I'm not certain why... I don't see any PBR textures unless I'm missing something obvious. If you are considering it I suggest waiting for the first SP. Reason being, at the moment, neither the Flight1 or RXP GTN integration works very well. The autopilot will not follow the GTN's track. NAV mode cannot even be engaged with the GTN present in the cockpit. Also the clickspots weren't working by default for the RXP but that's an easy fix by setting the RXP GTN to "use simulator gps …

  13. Started by Chock,

The very recently released Lionheart Bellanca Viking seems to work just fine in the new P3D V5 (my video review coming for this add-on aircraft later this week). As does UK2000's Liverpool EGGP Airport which is blending with Orbx UK scenery no problem in the new P3D version. I'm pleased to note that my own Chock's Hangar scenery appears to work just fine too. Although the same cannot be said of FRAPS, no sign of that working with the new sim. Notice that my frame rate in this shot appears to be 66.6, which if you know Lionheart Creations, is more than a little ironic. 🤣

  14. Wow! Just wow! You big, gorgeous beast of an aeroplane, you! Oh my days! What the heck does all this do?? Typical bloke: Installs plane, kicks tyres, lights fires and will read the manual after. Believe it or not I did successfully land back at KMIA.

  16. [Note: First of all, if you've never visited the "Deadstick FS" Sub-Forum, here, in Avsim, do take a look at that one screenshot there (or/and the referenced URL links) - the SIM is WIP, but still see if that picture does not excite your aviation senses...! In fact, a re-visit there, last week, had prompted me for this post....and this topic that has always fascinated me...] There are many in aviation (from RW pilots of the smallest GA planes to those of the largest jetliners), that are also fans of bush-planes and bush-flying, including, surely, (non-pilot/arm-chair) enthusiasts like me/us around here. The history (i.e. the stories of courage and endurance) of the b…

  18. Join me on a VFR jolly from Coningsby to Warton in a Phantom II (sorry Chock!) with a slight detour over the nearest city to me (Preston, Lancashire) and a couple of it's "landmarks". Not a Pound for Air To Ground, unless you count the gun pod which of course can also be used to deal with squashies, transport columns and light armour. Apparently an AIM-7 Sparrow can also be used for ground attack.. WHAT?? https://hushkit.net/2017/07/31/flying-the-f-4-phantom-ii-british-style/ A brilliant article, and Chris Bolton, the man with the story, is I feel a kindred spirit with his views on the Royal Navy F-35 Here we are in one of RAF Coningsby's HAS (hardened a…

  20. Well, my attempt was over the water!! Where better to depart from than my local defence contractor airfield at Warton - EGNO. then just head straight over to the Isle of Man. EDIT - Sageburner was the world record attempt at low altitude in which one aircraft succeeded in setting a record of almost 903 mph over a 3 km course at the White Sands Missile Range on 28th August 1961. The attempt was somewhat marred by the tragedy of an earlier fatal flight in May (loss of aircraft and crew). https://www.thisdayinaviation.com/tag/operation-sageburner/ No need to use afterburners..yet. Like the utter Pirate (of aviation) that I am, I thought the J…
